Pretty crazy they're asking for a FK8 as trade-in. It lets you know how coveted the previous gen is.

I live in Vancouver, this is how I got my fl5 . First dealer will ask you to buy their used car, like if that car u buy from them worth 25K, and they will buy it back from you right away but they buy back for 5k... so they got 20 k for free right?? and then they sell u FL5 for the MSRP... u see how the game played? XD, yeah on the paper they can say they don't UP the MSRP its against the law lol.

Sleeper build

As a fifty something Golf R owner looking in from the UK where it rains two days out of every three I must start by saying that I love my Golf especiallyin the wet where it's ground covering ability is stunning albeit In a clinical overly efficient way; but I would love to track either an FK8 or FL5 civic Type R to experience the ultimate evolution of the front wheel drive racer. I imagine them to be very sharp and stiff and enjoyable on track. Both vehicles are basically track cars that are just as at home on the road in my opinion. I love the FL5 in red and would buy the car in a heartbeat, but the FK8 is too aggressive looking for me which makes me feel ancient..🤣🤣🤣👍

Beautiful car but not worth the 50k plus price tag!

I had a chance to drive an FL5 the other day. I think if you already own the FK8, it's not worth the price to trade in an FK8. But if you don't already have an FK8, then it might be worth it to get. But for the prices everyone wants, I'd rather get a Nissan GTR

Definite like the FL5 and hoping aftermarket companies make a more OEM looking spoiler. If you can't get that, I'd say the sleeper car because I think that will generate more views. Always supporting you, man!

Definitely like to see an FL5. Mainly cause the availability is hard to come by. I think a ton of ppl would wanna tune in to see what you end up doing. I feel like the fk8 has been out now for awhile and maybe ran it's course. So my vote (based pirely on content) is FL5.

Wing on the new version looks like an afterthought. I think it's 50/50 old vs new. I personally like the previous/faster car.

FK8 all day. Honestly you should watch the video that throttle house does on the fk8 and fl5 (there is a vw gulf R and focus RS as well) interesting video that the fk8 is faster then a fl5 on a roll race. The fl5 won on a dig race but I think that was because of tire quality. I hope you get either one, cause I honestly was not a fan of the brz.

Can’t go wrong with either one! Tbh all depends on price and if you prefer the aggressive style of the fk8 or the mature style of the FL5

I will never buy one, and I am probably a bigger Honda fan than you maybe. Had a 86 Integra LS, 88 DX was my first tuner had the D16ZC out of the Integra, 91 CRX with a B16a from a 98 si, 99 EX with a h22a out of a type S. In my older years and I slow down on making my own so I got me a FG2 civic si with the k20z3. For what the dealership mark up $15k $20k you can make a 8th gen eat that car, on the track because it's about 1000lb lighter Then the type R and if you put that mark up back in to the fg2 you can get it on top end to. And the top speed of the fl is 170mph the fg2 top speed is 140 stock but it will not pass 6K vtec unless you are going down hill but if you force injured "turbo/supercharger/NO2" you can get way over 170mph maybe if the driver has a set and the motor is dun right you can see a street legal 200mph civic And as a daily driver I will have going with supercharger instead of turbo it will have fix the over heating issues of the previous type R had "2017 summit Park raceway" fg2 no over heating all day of racing the type R will over heat within 10 to 15 laps. Not to say you can buy a Entry level AMG or a 911 for that price you can even buy a new Toyota supra for that price. Honda if you care about people buying your Products you might want to look at what ford is doing You can buy a 2023 ford mustang from ford's website finance it on there site or go to your bank and Electronic transfer the money amount to ford at MSRP and your new ford mustang will be delivered to your driveway by ford. Only if all car manufacturers worked this way. Maybe they can sell them all And dealerships all you will be is Service.

You never notice FL on the roads, FK is eye candy. I own FK8 and what I'll never give up DC2 EJ1

I put money down on one but refused to pay more than 5K over MSRP. At the end of day it’s front wheel drive eco box with go fast parts. Not paying 60k for this car no way

I like the look, I do not at all like how the Civic is basically becoming an Accord. The car is getting larger & larger with each iteration. Keep hot hatchbacks compact... GR Corolla, Gold GTI, Golf R, Mazda3 Turbo (even though that isn't a hot hatch).

I was told that there is an owner for that vehicle and he’s made a deal to keep it there for the winter. Honestly, there’s not much honesty when it comes to these dealerships anymore, there’s the odd one out there, but most of it is all BS. I’m #5 in line with 3 dealers including this one, I most likely will get the ITS from Acura 👍

Sorry to destroy your hopes. I just went to my local Honda dealer. They want Over 94k for their type R. The mark up is literally over 50k (yes more from what the car is worth) I ask the manager he saids it’s because that’s the market value 😂
