Don't know if anyone has said this, but after the whole recall of the plan, when you talk to Futaba, she goes into EVEN MORE DEPTH about all the loose ends that wasn't explained, including how there was a Shadow Akechi that Makoto had to wrestle and tie up...it was a good read
she also explains how both sae and akechi return to reality, by walking back to the same point in the hallway they entered the metaverse in, they return to the real world, like how in palaces, you enter and exit from the same point
[spoilers I guess if you didn’t watch the video but if you didn’t do that then why are you down here, you might run into unmarked spoilers] Your explanation of the death trick wasn’t too far off actually. What you got wrong however was the meta verse / real world switching. You see, when the meta-nav is activated, it transports the activator and the nearby people to the metaverse. Additionally, if in the metaverse you return to the point where you activated the nav, you’ll be brought back to the real world. So what actually happened was this: Futaba remotely activated the Nav, bringing sae and akechi into the metaverse. Sae continued down the hallway (away from jokers room) and akechi went towards jokers room. While akechi was in the room with joker, futaba‘s prerecorded messages for sae turned on (since you can’t call someone in the metaverse) and told her to go back and get joker. [just to be clear, at this point both characters are still in the metaverse]. Remember how I said the meta-nav creates a return point where you activate it? When sae goes back towards jokers room, she passes the point where she met with akechi (aka the place where he nav activated). She is brought back to the real world, grabs the real joker, and runs. Akechi (still in the metaverse) kills the meta-joker, leaves the room, passes where he met sae, gets returned to the real world, then calls his boss. It’s still a tad confusing but that’s what happened. I hope I helped clear things up for anyone still confused.
Palachierico yeah it took me a few days after beating the game to comprehend that. I was still in shock from the ketchup pouring out of the real Mr. Mac and Cheese
Honestly that was the best explanation I've heard, like my friend tried to explained what happened during my first play through, and he left more more confused and I eventually pieced it together on my own.
I'm still confused though. Was the beginning of the game where we escape the casino and get arrested happen in the real world or was that the palace, because how else would the police arrest Joker?
@@noahlat8478 Akechi brought the police to the palace and they arrested joker in the palace, and theen Akechi teleported them back into the real world.
Man... Im confused about why you are confused... Is it arrogant of me to say that the explaination seems perfectly simple and understandable? They are using simple vocabulary, every word is comprehensible. All that is left is to just understand it. Then Futaba goes into even more detail for the slower people when shes in your room, which basically clarifies everything. Like... whats here to be confused about? They even provide gameplay/art to go along with everything to visually SHOW you the events!
I remember when i first played Persona 5 and when Akechi first killed the police officer, I spent 10 minutes being in disbelief. Before for this, i knew Akechi was the traitor but seeing him kill someone was surprising. Then i spent another 10 minutes in disbelief that Akechi killed Ren/Akira/Joker and completely forgot that Ren/Akira/Joker lives in the dancing games so i genuinely thought that Ren/Akira/Joker died

Thanks for the explanation, I was really confuse with the one that the game gives you... Also I forgot that ONLY the palace look diferent, That was my biggest problem... also the fact that I thought Sae got his Treasure Stolen at the end. The visuals help a lot, Thank you very much.
Akechi His name is sorta similar to Adachi - the "traitor" of Persona 4 His Persona is Robin Hood - takes from the rich and gives to the poor His motives are to follow his parents - mainly his father His mask is a long nosed creature similar to a bird, his nickname is Crow - a bird which tricks its victims for its own benefits. The long nose mask can be represented by many as a "lying" gesture - like Igor or even Pinocchio His true identity isn't what he really seems - his costume is white but in another form it is Noir (just trying to keep it subtle for qnyone who doesn't know) He isn't what he really seems but the looks and acts show all
I’m not sure if you care but I think some of the questions you had about the plan are explained, if poorly. 1. It wasn’t Joker’s shadow. Joker doesn’t have a shadow, he’s a persona-user. That was Sae’s cognitive Joker. As Morgana said about the volleyball team in the castle they’re the equivalent of dolls, they don’t equate to the real person. Sae created a cognitive Joker because she acknowledged he was in that cell in reality, thus adding it to her cognition. The same is applicable to Haru’s douche boyfriend; he also wasn’t a shadow. 2. Yeah, fair fecking point, mate. I don’t think Akechi’s escape from the metaverse is explained at all. Maybe because they entered using the phone Sae held that it also pulled him out no matter where he was? That’s grasping at straws, though. 3. I don’t believe you did steal her treasure. Although, the game avoids answering that. I think it implies she changed it herself, much like Mishima did in his confidant line. 4. It most certainly was a big brained play... I got nothing.
You didn't steal the treasure. Makoto said that the luggage was made up. If Sae went through a change of heart the whole operation could have failed as Sae will refuse to interview Joker and he would have been vulnerable against Akechi in jail. Besides, she hid the treasure and only Ryuji and Yusuke went to look for it so they could have perfectly snitched out that luggage out of nowhere. My doubts are about that Joker that surged after the cognition was killed. Was it the real Joker or Sae's cognition of Joker just respawn because she thinks he's still alive? Also, how did she took him out from an underground interrogation room without nobody, not even the cameras noticing them?
Basically the way Sae and Akechi get out of the metaverse is that they went back to the point they walked in. Once they go back to where they entered, they go back. When Akechi left the room, he passed the entrance point and was sent back to the real world. Futaba just led Sae back to the interrogation room so she could come back to the real world and get Joker.
On that how Akechi got back. He didn't need the phone to come back in the real world. Someone said he just needed to go leave the interrogation area. Since thats where he got transported. Like how Joker and Ryuji left the first palace by leaving the area.
I think it was explained that where ever the nav was activated, that is where the exit is. So when Akechi killed the Cognitive Joker and walked out to the elevator, that is when he left the metaverse. Sae was also in the metaverse for some time, but when she went back to get Joker, when she past that hallway, she left the metaverse, that is why the guard was still there even though he also got shot by Akechi.
