Was like a vehicle grave yard, kind of bad they had been dumped like this, bad kind of good to see nature desolving them away. Makes you think if all people were gone, how nature will take back. I like to find these abandoned places, interesting video. Just subscribed.
Thank Steve. I like seeing old stuff before it completely disappears. If I spot old abandoned buildings or vehicles I just have take a closer look. I think nature would overgrow most of the man-made stuff in about 50 to 100 years, maybe big structures like bridges and big office blocks would take a bit longer.
Normally I hate finding junk in the woods (or anywhere else for that matter) but old derelict vehicles do sort of appeal to me, and those two look like they might have some age to them - not the usual burned out stolen hatchbacks anyway.
Yes I know what you mean Mick, I hate seeing stuff dumped anywhere, though in this case I think this wood is owned by a nearby farmer and the vehicles likely belonged to him, so in a sense he has only dumped them on his own property. It's a shame these old vehicles couldn't have been presereved and given to a collector or museum. I'm sure the first one was a tractor, the second one is some sort of lorry. They must have seen a lot of use in their time.
Blimey Roo we have cars and trucks literally melting away there. That's what time will do to most things eh? I wonder where they came from. Very curios. Nice odd mooch in the woods. Saw a wonderful deer this morning. All the best. Mark
Mark, I think the vehicles belonged to a local farmer. This wood which is adjacent to his fields and pastures is likely his property too. A lot of modern mans constructions and vehicles seem to fall apart in a relatively short period of time and nature gains the upper hand eventually. I find semi-derelict stuff attractive for some reason and always wonder what happened to the people who used the machinery or buildings, there are so many untold stories.
