Think about this before buying it - Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous

Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous will release tomorrow, many have already purchased the game, but for those of you that managed to wait but really want to play Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous as soon as posible, I have something to warn you about, this is not a game review, but there is something you need to know.
In the video we will talk about Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous but also about Pathfinder Kingmaker, which was an spectacular game but had some darksides, specially when it first released.
If you have watched some Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous gameplay , beta impressions or the reviews soon about to come, you will probably know that it looks pretty similar to Pathfinder Kingmaker since the game seems to build over its predeccesor, which is something good an expected.
However since it builds over its predeccesor, many of the features will probably remain in place, and maybe they will carry on some of the mistakes that they made, specially when the game released.
So in today´s video we will talk both about Pathfinder Kingmaker and its mistakes and Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous.

If you want to test Wrath, GOG has a 30 day no questions asked refund policy, so if you buy it there and it has game braking bugs or you just don't like it, refund and be on your merry way. It's always good to have a voice against the hype.

I didnt know it was coming on GOG, that´s great then, thank you for pointing it out... Since I have read some reviews on steam complaining about bugs, I´ll take you to the top xD.

got it day one and no bugs yet the only bugs to have been found is on the lich mythic path and they fixed some of it more to come but nothing game braking looks like kingmaker gave them great starting point. I got about 55 hours in it still not done as i did one start over to change my class.But yes so far no one game braking bug hell not even little ones, for me any ways others who went lich hit some bug that stopped them from advancing down that epic path but all the others are fine. And the lich ones are not game braking as you can continue on with out the mythic levels but that would suck as you would miss out on some of the top end stuff for lich. I recommend the game 100% awesome that you can become something of legend like a demon a devil angle ect even a massive walking swarm or a gold dragon.

I don't buy new games. This one is still full of bugs, you could see them in reviews from backers. As often, the product is unfinished. Plus, they already planned DLC, it means the product won't be finished until those are released. And I only buy finish products as I am a responsible consumer. Fortunately for me, it means a way cheaper game with only few bugs remaining at the time it'll be in my library. If all consumers were like me, the video game production would be forced to produce proper finished products and respecting their deadlines. We won't be in that mess we are in now, with plenty of games you to pay to work for the developers, otherly named as "Early Access" while I come from a time developers paid players like me to report problems and produce a game that didn't need much new corrections.

I bought it on GOG the day it released, but you make a valid point. For those wanting it on a different platform, giving it a week or two to see how things shake out isn't a bad idea. I've already experienced a weird sound glitch where it cuts in and out quite often and is very immersion-breaking. It's not bad enough to make me not want to play, but it does annoy me enough that my sessions are a bit shorter than they otherwise might have been.

I get the same sound glitch in Kingmaker and Wrath. It's a problem with the game engine itself, it's sometimes frequent, sometimes never happens. Usually triggered by a player voice, spell sound or some other sound effect. Wish I had a solution.

Kingmaker was a brand new game involving the development with a whole new engine. WotR just builds on this engine. The state of the beta was already better than kingmaker. I have high hopes that WotR will be fine on release. I could be eating my words in a few days, but I doubt it.

Are you now still standing on your position? It has had many GAMEBREAKING bugs and is still being patched as of TODAY!

@@satanspy yup! I’ve HD a solid ply through from start to finish without a single bug. Watched CohhCarnage’s run where he didn’t encounter any bugs game breaking or otherwise. I think it’s been an extraordinary release.

Already bought! Maybe as most games these days they might have some bugs in start. BUT Owlcat games proved their dedication and love when it come to pathfinder kingdom and I for One is sure pathfinder wrath of the righteous will be a great game. All trust and support to Owlcat games! ❤️

I agree with you that they have a lot of passion and dedication for their game, I specially love the visuals of the game, as far as I have seen they have added a lot of detail and the scenarios have a lot of work put into them. I really liked Pathfinder Kingmaker and although there were some things that I disliked, overall I think it is a great game, however I did not like the way it released and I dislike when things like that happen, specially nowadays when you can release a beta or an early access. And I understand why you would want to support them, at the end Pathfinder Kingmaker gave many of us an unique experience to remember, and a new hate for Trolls. Hope you love it.

@@ashengames111 i also really dislike games that are released unfinished. Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout 76 comes to mind! Pathfinder kingdom sure did the same thing when it come. Difference was they admited it and put all passion and effort in making it right. Pathfinder was more or less unplayable att start BUT Owlcat admited full face that they made wrong and stepped up and in just a couple of weeks and patches made the game good. And they didnt stop there, together with the community they continued to make it even more polished and good. In the end the game really come through as great and I for one hope they have learned from that first release of pathfinder and that this game will be even better and more polished at start. IF not so I have trust they will soon make it so. 😃

@@henkhenkste6076 it took some years to get fully pulished true, but was good and fully playable after weeks. And most important they admited there error in full and did the work needed to make it great. And after todays reviews Owlcat has done a great job with Pathfinder wrath of the righteous! I for one is really hyped to start play it tomorrow.🤩

The game is very buggy. It's not to bad early game but once you get futher in the game it does get more buggy. This said it's not as bad at it was when Kingmaker was first released. Most bugs can be fixed by reloading or restarting. Some can only be fixed by reloading a previous save before the bug occurs however. So saving often is key. This said the game is still very fun. Espacially for Crpg fans. So i still recommend it.

Kingmaker release was something else XD This one is doing a lot better in the reviews , I´ll play it when they fix things since it´s a massive time investment.

This has been in the hands of beta testers for months with countless channels have been doing livestreams and playthroughs. So surely any glaring issues this time round would be well known? Dont get me wrong, im all for waiting for reviews and never pre-ordering but unless the release build is vastly different that what people have already been playing for months i dont see there being any issues like last time

Are there bugs - yes Are they Game Breaking - no Is the game awesome - yes After about 50 hours in, I can tell you there is no bug thats so bad it breaks immersion and/or causes you to lose 30 hours of game time. Real talk, most players will probably spend more time in character Creation then they will encountering bugs My final verdict is, if you planned on buying it do it don't force yourself to wait. Don't believe me just check out the steam reviews.

I played Kingmaker almost to the end without any issues. As soon as I entered the final realm to confront the fae boss, I started getting the unity error crash. I went back to a previous save and as soon as I got to the same area I got the same crash. I Uninstalled and reinstalled, same issue. Tried every suggestion I could find online and same issue. I refuse to start the game over and possibly encounter the same error. I'll be waiting on WotR, if I get it at all.

wtf.. lmfao yeah downvote. "wait to buy wrath of the rightous because.... well i havent played it but like 4 years ago they released their first game so im sceptical so you shouldnt buy it either." ight bet. for the record everyone else i have the game, so far have 70.2 hours in and must say its amazing. if you enjoy decision making rpg's with a PLETHROA of moral and strategic choices and memerable companions then i highly recommend this game for you.
