what if i told you that you could buy a car for the price of what a video game console would cost you! thats exactly what my friend michael from Hillderth Garage did with this 1994 dodge dakota!
Just picked up a 93 3.9 with 77k original miles it has a blown engine but the guy had one ready to put it. Got it all for 500$ needs paint but it has almost. Zero rust on it. If the 3.9 ever goes ill swap in the 5.2 so it and my jeep will have the same engine. Supper excited. So far I've got crystler 2.0 3.9 and 5.2 engines and love them all.
I payed $300 for a 1996 4x4 5.2 v8 extended cab auto trans with working ac ans a moon roof only problem is a minivan on the passenger side but the door still opens i got about 70k miles all i did was change the oil then it sat for the summer and i came back and it somehow hydrolocked and so i had to send her off to the pasture aka my uncles dodge boneyard all thats left of her now is the cab god i miss her
$500.00 would get you a 1975 Ford Granada, 3 on the floor, back in the mid 1980's when I was 17!! My first car!! Even had a loan from a bank!! I sure do miss that car, was such a looker!! #bikiniCarwashes
My neighbor offered to sell me his 1998 Dodge Dakota for $600 if I could get it out of his backyard for him. So far, I replaced the battery and the engine shows that it wants to turn over. However, we think the PCM needs to be replaced. He said that the local car shops said they don't carry that part. So, I just went online and ordered one myself. We'll see in the next week or two if that gets the car running again.
So, we're still waiting for the PCM. In the meantime, I used some throttle body cleaner to clean out the throttle body and see if she worked better. Now, she turns over instantly. So, that's an instant improvement.
