In 2012, 6th round pick Alfred Morris rushed for the 2nd most yards in the league, and put together 3 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons... but what happened after that?

That 2012 Redskins team was so fun. It’s really a shame that RG3 had to get injured because I believe that team could have made it to the NFCCG at least once with that squad.

As a Cowboys fan I remember that game winning TD Morris had against his old team quite well. I think our OC didn't utilize Morris as well as he could have. Zeke was unreal his rookie year, but Zeke might have had more left in his tank in the playoffs if he took less carries and had less wear on his body. Morris did seem like he wasn't totally washed at this point either.

I was not the happiest of campers when I found out that he was traded to Dallas, but I'm glad that he got to finish his career.
@BrotherBalance
@BrotherBalance Год назад
Yeah I really wish he would have had the opportunity to land in a spot where he was actually given the respect that he earned for the seasons that he put in for Washington and have a team at least pick him up as their feature back and at least attempt to surround him for success and I can only imagine the career that he potentially could have had we're just the tiniest things done slightly different. But knowing him he would say that what happened happened and it happened for a reason and he's not going to question it he's just going to take what's in front of him and make the best out of what he can. He's always the type that was never looking around at other people seeing what they have and thinking to himself they don't deserve that I do or that they are wasting something valuable that's never what he saw he would see other people's Fortunes in life and blessings and instead of feeling jealousy or pity he would feel genuine Joy for the riches and successes of others regardless of where he was positioned in life at the time. I hated the fact that we got rid of Alfred Morris after the 2015 season. 2012 was always the season of dreams for me and Morris was part of that season. I loved seeing the guy run, and his running attack could put pressure off of RG3 when it came time for throws, or even made him a great decoy for if and when RG3 would decide to run. When Cousins was the starter in 2015, he was a great weapon for Kirk. Then, not only did he not get another contract from us, but he got picked up by Dallas. It hurt seeing that happen

They definitely over utilized Alfred a few times at Washington but they at the time felt like they had to considering they were in the running for the playoffs the first year and you can even make an excuse for the second year because of RG3 going down. But sometimes I would sit there and watch them call his number over and over in packages that set him up with so many players in the Box that honestly he probably had so much more in him to give if he wasn't just grinded into opposing defenses showing a lot of times eight in the Box usually not going to end up with the best yards per carry when that's what you're running into. LOL 😆 Craziest thing is he still did somehow have a very good yards per carry average considering his touches and my God the defensive packages and schemes that constantly were showing that all hands on deck for the Run and yet still see him do his magic just like he did back in high school just somehow some way he was still moving. LOL

I miss Alfred Morris, good dude, humble dude, should have kept him in Washington and gave him one more solid lineman.

2012 was the first year I played Fantasy Football. I picked Morris up on the waiver wire after the first week, based on a column I read online and he helped me win the league, as I gradually figured out what I was doing! Looking through the comments lots of others had Fantasy success on his back! What a legend.

This video brings up a neat video idea. An all pro starting roster of the best 6th and 7th round draft picks for offense and defense. Guys that over excelled based on their low draft spots.

12:08 I audible said "No Way" when it cut to the music before he scored the gaming-winning touchdown XD

Bro the way KTO tells storys makes it where I'm cheering for a backup running back in 2015 to score a touchdown💀. Amazing video!

Nice ending to the video! I remember reading, all those years ago, about the modest car Morris drove - very interesting.

I’m from the same city as Alfred. Never met him. But we had some mutual friends and they all said he was really really down to earth

Dang, good draft Redskins had in 2012! Thanks for highlighting a guy that I honestly didn't know anything about. This was the period where I ducked out of football while fighting a severe illness of a couple of years and so, didn't follow Washington or hear anything about him. Sounds like someone I'd love to have a beer with or as a neighbour. Great vid, as always...and you still have the best closing music in the business always used against fun footage.
