Finally we get some more Alfas on the channel
Alfa 145 QV we love these things, I preferred the phase 1 cf1 engine only because the phase 2 always seem to break, that plastic cover engine always suffered with bottom end failures.
And then we have the Alfa Giulia sprint gta recreation model
What an amazing car, fun but scary
Hope you enjoy

As most have said, the wheels suit the car personally. I quite like the yellow decal too, and would tie it in with yellow calipers. That GTAP sounds amazing!

The part with the Giulia GTV has to be the BEST Alfa review I have ever watched! It really made my evening. As a former Alfa owner I can relate to much of this - the pedals position, the weird fuel gauge behavior, etc....

As a guy who races a 1750 GTV, the standard Alfa 5 speed you have to go into 2nd before 1st when at a stop because of the way the synchro brakes work in 1st gear. I modified mine not to do that but still do it as a habit. Alfa electrics are terrible at the best of times. But for a 105 to feel unstable is a very uncommon problem. But I enjoyed the review.

I have a set of deep dish 155/146 pepper pot alloys on my 145 It took me 4 years to get a full set, quite rare but they look great in black against the red. I just love the quick rack and the feedback you get through the bulk head when you rag it. As you say it's not quick by modern standards but still a great wee drivers car.

Btw, the 145 has 2 Airbags, if you buy them. The cut isnt a safety feature, its for making room so you can put the seat further and kids can move out from the backseasts while you still sit on the passenger seat.

That’s the problem with a lot of right hand drive Alfas , the pedals in my Sprint are offset and close together too , you just get use to foot cramp 😂 by the way the serpent on the 145 is called the Biscione 🐍

Many years ago, I had the QV. Lovely engine, sounds almost like the f430 at low rev. I own a scud now, so I can vouch the sound. However, the chassis is so soft, if your hoist the car with the door open, you won't be able to close it.... That bad. Apart from that, great little car

I like the 145 wheels, but they might be a bit too big for it, cause originally it would have had 13s or 14s. That engine sound on the Giulia is soo good, makes me want to put sidedrafts on my KE36. The banter between JP and James is great, but when are we seeing the Supra?

Bit late with this but the phase one 145 cloverleaf was rated at 150 PS not the 155 the GTV and 156 were rated at, so in fact your one made bang on stock power which is bloody good for a 27 year old car. The phase two was rated 155. I prefer the earlier car too btw.......I know these stats because I was an Italian car nut in the mid 90s and still have period road tests involving the 145. I'd love one as a modern classic. Prices are creeping up but they're still cheap compared to the 306 gti-6 or the smaller 106 gti or saxo vts they were tested against when new.

I had 145qv and it was realy fun car little bit too heavy but it was realy fun car, it was beast on twisty roads. It only didnt brake hard as i wanted. My was slightly moded with more agressive camshaft and weight reduction it was little sleeper i dont know how much power it had but she did emberes few newer 200hp cars, and on mountain type r could not keep up my pace and i am probably not great driver, she managed tp catch 170km/h uphill on not very long straight part of mountain. Its the car i miss the most.

What is with the tacky bonnet and blacked out centre grill. They don’t suit the GTV. One other minor quibble is that the GTAP (P standing for plastic, ie fibreglass), is that the car was based on a stepnose GTA rather than a flushnose 1750 GTV, so as a tribute/replica it’s a bit of a fail and undoubtedly in today’s market an original 1750 GTV unmolested would be worth more than this car. No the gear stick angle is perfectly normal to all 105 GTVs , it’s just that the gear knob is incorrect and pig ugly, ditto, the pedal angle is perfectly normal for the car, the steering wheel is ugly and the seats are from a series 2 1750 GTV. The space in the front for driver and passenger is totally correct. I owned a S1 1750 GTV for 12 years and have driven over the years many 105 GTVs etc. What I don’t get is the silly comments re the car being a death trap etc etc. A well sorted GTV is a total delight to drive and perfectly safe.. You guys should try out an Alfaholics GTA-R 290 what with 240 bhp. Now these cars are a true weapon to be enjoyed.

I sincerely can't understand why you bother to reply to a couple of British car enthusiasts who know nothing about Italian cars and most probably drive Golfs and Peugeots or an odd Japanese shitebox. On a postive note, they admit that they know nothing about the GTV not even the proper name. I bought my first Alfa in 1980 and have driven Alfas ever since and will do so for the rest of my days on earth
