@@akellis11 Yugi won it back to give to Joey and he just gave it back saying he would earn it back. But I don't think that was the exact same rare hunt who took it, but it is the one who had it in his deck.
@@glitchmakerygothat's right Yugi did win back the Red eyes from the rare hunter, then Joey tells him to keep it during the Battle city arc then Joey got back his Red eyes during the Seal of orichalcos arc when he dueled Rex raptor
The fact that not only is this Gokibore's first reprint since the McDonalds Pack where it first came out, Acid Rain's first printing since it's debut in Duel Terminal 2, but also Fiend Kraken and Golgoil's first TCG PRINTING!! is pretty huge actually.
Exactly, you can't imagine how happy it makes me to finally be able to play Gokibore in my Beetrooper deck, I already have the Mcdonald print but only after buying it I discovered that a card must have a print in your own language to let you play a copy in a foreign language... I needed Fiend Kraken, on the other hand, to complete my Umi series collection, so I couldn't really be happier for this set!!
yall don't understand how hyped i am that they finally printed Fiend kraken in the TCG, i love him so much, the fact that hes been on art work here and there over the past few years gave me hope that he might be in a speed duel or ots pack one day, im so excited for this set just bacause of him, gokibore, golgoil and maybe a secret red eyes.
Honestly, seeing the old OCG vanillas getting imported into the TCG is one of the main reasons why I love Speed Duels. (I know the West has Gokibore already but only the one printing as a McDonald’s promo so still a definite must-have from this set) Edit: Zera the Mant and the type-destroying spells are all very welcome reprints as well.
@@SlyMoore94 i dont play modern yugioh, but i build and collect all the cards and decks from the DM anime, every time a OCG vanilla or a anime exclusive card gets a English printing i get hyped, im still waiting on a dark chimera and cyber commander for my Panik and Tristan decks, fiend kraken was one i loved so much as a kid and badly wanted, its great to finally get him to replace the orica in my mako deck.
IKR its really the only card I need from this set as I already have all the foils in this set from the old sets, was really pissed aligators sword dragon and fortress whale didnt make it into secret rare, also annoyed me when he just glossed over fiend kraken how rude :O
@@MultiJudgmentdragon to be fair unless you are aware of the OCG exclusive vanillas you would probably think fiend kraken was a LOB card or something, so not surprised that he glossed over it.
@@ASavageEye absolutely! - I've been a die hard red-eyes fan and I've never let the deck/play style down. Atm im running red-eyes dragon link and its very solid
@@GrayLIVE Red-Eyes Dragon Link is certainly a very strong deck and if I was still playing competitive I would certainly be using it but I only play casual now so I use a pure Red-Eyes deck, that is why I want the extra Gearfried because I currently only have one copy.
They're available in the initial battle city box that released 2 or 3 years ago. The singles for those are super cheap, you can just buy them. Glad they didn't get reprinted here tbh
The secrets look really good. Finally good print quality. Now we need the original artwork of Blue-eyes as a secret rare in another speed duel set. To my memory, we only got Tablet arts.
Damn I saw the slime stuff and got excited because I thought we’d get a reprint of cards of safe return but I guess that’s broken even for speed duels hahah
I have it all shown from the video after buying mine awhile back, however in the descriptions from online retailers such as eBay, Amazon, etc it states there are a total of 228 cards yet I keep counting 226. Am I counting wrong or are the online merchants inputting misinformation?
I got my own today, I bought this box. I buy it in a card shop because on Target and Walmart they no longer sell any Yu-Gi-Oh cards. One thing I noticed is that Konami didn't include the deck of Rex Raptor, but I am guessing is because he doesn't duel on battle city. But Bakura and Mai did, so it seems that Konami should throw not just 8 decks he should put more about 10 decks in the box .
Ik the set doesn’t have the most meta impactful stuff but I would be lying when I found out there’s secret rare Summoned Skull, og artwork DM and Red-Eyes secret I wasn’t screaming.
The skill "Battle City Sirens" is going to need an immediate errata! What happens if she goes against, a cloudians deck? Is she going to not attack that turn?
Yugi Dark Magician surprised me to be honest in a secret rare, now it’s cheaper to try and pull for it instead of buying the adidas shoes still a good secret to have tho
FINALLY, a secret rare Dust Tornado. The fact that the max rarity of it for so long was ultra rare was a crying shame. Glad to see Widespread Ruin's alt art also getting a secret rare to go along with the original art secret all the way from the Dawn of Destiny promos in 2004.
Sadly it seems only the fact that Speed Duel Secrets are of high quality might convince me to get this... We got a very similar box 2 years? ago - and instead of continuing with the GX series - we could have gotten Yubel and other S4 content - they want to bring back Battle City for the 25th... but in the end it just feels worse then the past box - only Sliver is in here - the decks are kay but at this point I dont get excited for the 10th Yugio, Joey decks.. Anyway hope others are more happy with this, thanks for the unboxing m8.
I was kinda thinking the same at first but there are some really good reprints in here of cards that are impossible to get otherwise. Thats the REAL trick with these boxes and the only reason non Speed Duel players buy them.
It's its own game, but you can use those cards in any other format. Also it came in box to play like sealed tournament. It's very entertaining to buy a box with friends and play right away. Also they have side events during ycs with prizes and so.
