This can't be real - RTX 2080ti vs RTX 3070 

Tnx for the upload man. I am planning on waiting till next year to upgrade. I will wait and see what both Nvidia and AMD Big Navi has to offer. I will give thing's time to mature and iron out in terms of the manufacturing process and if theres any bugs or driver issues. Being patient has always paid off for me in the past when it comes to tech stuff so I'll be patient this time as well. Keep up the great content man and stay safe. 2020 really is a doozy of a year.

The 8th is for the CPU announcement and the 28th is for the GPUs iirc. sometimes we fall for the benchmarketing but I think its always better to wait and see what the competition has.

I agree it's a hell of an interesting time in the graphic card market. Judging from how the 3080 stacked up with AIB's there wasn't much more performance they could squeeze out of the card (maybe 2%). ALos the last time nvidia posted their performance metrics like this they were saying 100% over the performance of the 2080ti which ended up being more like 40-50% (still impressive but not 100% for sure). I said it before, but I really think this time nvidia are legitimately sweating that AMD may have them in terms of coming close, matching or even possibly exceeding performance (at least in traditional non-ray-traced games). The cool thing about AMD cards i've found in the past is that the AIB's do it better; especially Saphire, and they punch well above stock cards. Normally after market cards for Nvidia aren't bad either; i'm running a gigabyte one now and it's fantastic (but old like your 1080ti); to not see that come out of the 3080 AIB's tells me nvidia has squeezed everything they can out of their architecture for ampere; I wonder if AMD will have the same issue or will the AIB cards be higher clocks and better performance by 10% as usual. Other thing to consider is that newer games will likely support AMDs ray tracing over nvidias due to the consoles having all AMD chipsets. Speaks volumes for the next 4 years in terms of dev work, so I suspect the ray tracing will shift to AMDs favour over the years. (given ample time).

Well if you look at it like 3080 is for 4k 3070 is for 2k and the 3060 will be for 1080p.....kinda makes sense while 3090 and A6000 are for workstations/professionals..... I think a 3080 for 2k is overkill as is a 2080ti while the 2070Super and 3070 look great for 2K gaming. It will be interesting to see where Navi falls in and at what price.

Unless you do rendering or some crazy work related task that takes advantage of the 3090 there isnt a reason to buy one in terms of as a gaming card since it only performs 5% better over the 3080

Half year ago, according to the rumors, the 3060 will be 5% slower than 2080ti. Too bad it didn’t happen :(

I suspect those results are cherry picked and possibly skewed. I don't think the 3070 will be on average faster than a 2080ti in gaming. My guess is 5-10% slower. I also expect amd to be better value, and think it would be silly to buy a 3070 at release when amd could release an equivalent or faster card with more v-ram for less money a few weeks after.
