Charlie Thurston him and Rihanna have made some bangers. Overall I would have liked to have seen tech on a track the most. Em even said he is one of his favorite rappers
kk66 damn ur edgy and cool, I’m sure you’re subscribed to Leafy and H3h3 as well, and let me guess, you browse reddit regularly and fail all your classes because you’re a “different type” of intellectual. Lmfao just off yourself kid.
As soon as people accept that slim shady is dead, the sooner we will stop overhyping eminem's albums. He will probably never release another mmlp or sslp.
+njnya Seriously? Relapse, Recovery and MMLP2 are his worst 3 Albums. He didnt release anything great in over a decade. If he keeps doing music he gonna have soon more bad releases than good ones. He wont be a GOAT anymore then.
Revival could be his worst album like I didn't think it was possible to get worse than recovery. He needs to understand that we just want dope songs, like with good beats (dre > rubin) and you doing the hooks. Rick Rubin is making him an old head, relapse was his best album post drugs if it weren't for the accents most people would think the same. I'm an Eminem fan but this tracklist shot my hype down 300%, maybe the pop features will end up like kings never die or wicked ways and be dope as fuck but we'll see.
As soon as I saw Ed Sheeran's name on the tracklist, I immediately knew Revival was gonna be shit. It hasn't even come out yet, and I already know it's gonna be a strong 4/10 lol
thats why noooo one cares about your opinion. Just trying to help.Yeah i responded but just cause its ridiculous judging an album off two songs. I know your exaggerating but its an infectious state mind plaguing young unacknowledged critics. Ems gunna do what he wants, and i know the 2 singles are wack even tho i kkinda like parts of both those songs. This is the 50 yr old artist that is still himself as much as can be, real slim fans are gunna love it all, but I am hoping the whole cd wont be like the singles.
Remember these lines from "Careful What You Wish For" "But Encore just didn't have the caliber to match it I guess enough time just ain't passed yet A couple more years, that shit'll be Illmatic" Yeah remember that because it's still not even close to the Illmatic buuut IMO *Encore will be Illmatic compared to this upcoming Album*
Don't forget he signed Conway and Westside gunn to shady and they're completely missing from here. Honestly fuck Eminem for his pop bullshit if he had any integrity left he'd use the paak and 2 chains feature
I don't think Eminem can get worse than Encore. Im not saying that it doesnt have some awesome tracks, but compared to everything else it falls short in my opinion.
Eminem has been a pop star first and a rapper second for years now. I thought Walk on Water was great and would be the start of some serious introspection and revaluation a la 4:44 but it seems we are just getting the same old again with this track list
Bordje I don't think he cares y'all giving yourselves a headache for nothing...if he truly cared he would of never had skylar grey and pink on his album again
I’m a huge em fan but I was hoping for some rap features on this album. I hope there is a surprise feature or the deluxe version will have rap features. I’m a fan of ed and I love when em collaborates with pink
Btw, random note, when Sautration III comes out you should do a collab review with Tabby! He's like their biggest fan so I think you'll be able to have some good discussion and multiple perspectives
Eminem stans are annnnooooooooying while most stans are a lil irritating, they just insult everyone for not literally being Eminem, or for not liking him melonBless
I had some hope for the album after Walk on Water just because it meant he wasn't going to be doing all "jumped out of the second floor of the record store in Ecuador with Edward Norton" raps, but then he sampled Cheech and Chong in Untouchable and i gave up
I appreciate your commentary. Love your channel. Dude, don't judge a book by its cover. The album has not dropped yet. It may be good or be bad. We don't know yet.
I guess well have to wait for the abulm to come out and see how it turns out (also "I need a docter" Feat Dr Dre and *Skylar Grey* was playing during the *Revival* teaser, so yea...)
I thought that was gonna be his “revival” Dre beats, crazy features 2 chains, Lil Wayne, red man, Kendrick, just dope songs but we got fucking Ed shereen lmao what was he thinking
Well actually this new album of his... At least on walk on water... I think he showed his most human and kind of but not really vulnerable side in a way. Idk. He basically says "stop admiring me so damn much, I'm not holy or anything". There is something worth noting and it's someone he mentions. He fears he has disappointed someone he was close too and that someone passed away, I dint know what's up with that but yeah. I'm very curious how this album is gonna be like. And about Untouchable, in my perspective he send a message in a way where he can express it that it can't be ignored or something. It is a very serious he talks about and I'm surprised his actually taken a stand for a more society based topic. More out of his comfort which is also something worth noting. In my opinion I'm optimistic about his new album and actually anticipating it. Awesome videos btw.
Not sure what makes you predict an 'only people who like all Eminem stuff' tier album (Recovery?). The features list is reminiscent of MMLP2, which was extremely varied and featured blander songs with soaring hooks like 'Legacy' and 'Beautiful Pain' alongside deeper tracks and outright bangers. Just from 'Walk on Water' and 'Untouchable' we've already seen this album has a greater range of songs that 'Recovery, and some people consider that to be a good album. Have hope Anthony.
If you are looking forward to this upcoming Eminem album, yeah. It's gonna be genuinely one of the worst records I've heard all year. I don't expect this to be good at all. This sucks because Eminem has honestly released more bad shit then good stuff. Eminem Show, MMLP, SSLP and Infinite were great, but everything else has been shitty. This is why it's better to die on your sword and give up when you are ahead then try to make 2,000 albums and get billboard charts again.
To be fair whether it's better to die on your sword or not really depends on the artist. From a listeners perspective it sucks that he's selling out but thats on him, I don't think we, as the audience, are allowed to make that call for him
Like it or not Relapse was his last strictly hip hop album. MMLP2 was a step in the right direction with tracks like Rhyme or Reason, Asshole (disregarding the awful hook), Bad Guy, and others. Even Headlights perfectly executed a pop feature in a way Marshall has never been able to do. This new Marshall album looks like it’s going to be a downgraded Recovery with a political twist to it (just look at the album cover). I was massively disappointed with Walk on Water. In my opinion it sounds very impromptu and as if not much time was invested into the lyrics. But maybe that was the whole point of the song: raw emotions. What I also don’t understand is how he makes a song about how people consistently put him down for his work the past decade, yet he releases this tracklist doing exactly what people have criticized him for: going pop. How can you try to come off as self-aware yet fail so hard? Sucks because no matter what Marshall will always be special to me but Christ, his work the past three years has been god awful to me. Really hoping for a miracle with this album.
