It’s always a good day when Aaron posts a video of him climbing the online Regulation-E VGC ladder in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and provides live commentary as he goes.
Best part i think about these late night uploads is you feel like the day is over and there's nothing cool left to watch, then BAM an over 1 hour banger of sick VGC matches.
Aaron you’re the goat for featuring this team, much appreciated! KaSun is a good friend and even better battler and is very deserving of the spotlight you can offer !!
That Ting-Lu lash out set reminded me of the Dusclops trick room/bulldoze & incineroar lash out team i ran back in early Sw/Sh. Fun times, lash out is a really fun move.
If you asked that QOTD a few weeks ago, I’d have said roaring moon or weezing but they’ve really picked up recently. I think Kingambit is still underrated in doubles and needs a bit more experimenting with
I LOVE FARIGIRAF! Great vids from Aaron as always. And I'm having so much fun seeing Lando-I around, recently, too. I think eventually the meta will shift a little more special... I hope. Can't wait to rent this one.
QOTD: More than talking about underrated Pokémon, I feel like talking about underrated moves. We have tons of oppressive Physical attackers, but still we don't really make use of Breaking Swipe nearly as much. Yeah, Urshifu and Ogerpon do usually brush it off, but we barely have Fairy Pokémon on the format (we do find the occasional Fairy Tera Arcanine), but unless we get to a format where Zacian takes back the crown, Breaking Swipe will still be useful.
QOTD: Trevenant! Grass/Ghost is a nice defensive typing in this meta (Rilla, Urshifu-R, Hands...), has good survivability with Sitrus + Harvest, and enables a lot of strong attackers with Forest's Curse (Tera Flying Tera Blast Lando, Eruption Torkoal, Okidogi...). Made it into Master and on my way to the top with this team: KYT3MW
I’ve been using Farigiraf since day 1, obviously I’ve changed my teams up occasionally but I always go back to the Giraffe, it always gives me the most success
Qotd: Clodsire is really underrated right now. Can pretty much absorb Rapid Strikes attacks or tank them, tanks iron hands, can threaten flutter mane and scares Ogerpon and Rillaboom
Your daily reminder that back in Series 1 when Dozo ran Earthquake, Wave Crash, Order Up and Protect, a fairy Clodsire with Water Absorb holding an Air Balloon was literally untouchable for Dozo, and Clod even gets Haze. I love this beautiful blob of a Pokémon.
AOTD: One Pokemon I think is highly underrated is Krookodile. Being an Intimidate Mon with a WIDE moveset, it can cover almost everything in the meta right now.
Glad to know some of my theory crafting has been good. I had a VERY similar team idea last week. Different enough, but the mons were almost exactly the same.
I love Lando-I. Nasty plot, sheer force, and life orb boosting Sandsear Storm has cleared so many games for me XD QOTD I think Dondozo is back on top, Tera dragon Dozo has gotten me a new PB on showdown ladder, dude is insane.
QOTD: I think Gastrodon could actually be quite strong with the right team. I got into this debate with a friend the other day, and it does have some bad match-ups like ogerpon I think that it has other match-ups in which it can provide a lot of benefit like into Urshifu or Landorus
AOTD: I’m not a ladder player but my brain tells me that koriadon, walking wake, and eruption typloshion seems like they’d work good together. Typhlo is my favorite Pokémon 🤭
QOTD: I thought farigiraf was very underrated, it’s usage only really picked up in reg E. I remember playing with it back in reg A and thought it would be all over the place but it fell off until now
QOTD: Loaded dice Baxcalibur. It is incredibly strong especially if you can get a swords dance off. Pair it with a friend guard or screen user and it becomes really hard to knockout.
I remember the first time I used Grass Tera Miracle Seed Wood Hammer with Rillaboom, into an opposing Rillaboom, and it did like 60%. I was absolutely dumbfounded
qotd: obligated to say enamorus-t. that bulk and coverage are so good and it’s a great anti-tr mon, with overall good matchups into some meta comps when under a tr of its own
I know u said in the first match the ogerpon player should know the taunt wont get follow me'd away... is that tru? I thought follow me would redirect even a grass type pokemon moves, no?
QOTD; In a single day, I with my Choice Scarf Charizard came upto rank 44 on showdown ladder, it's best partners are a wide guard user and a prankster tailwind setter😊
You're not climbing rank, you can't play on those maps on ranked, you either playing free battles with random or friends, or you're cheating. I repeat It's impossible to play on those maps. Game 5
Is it just me, or is Ogerpon just so unintersting design wise, and even more annoying given how ubiquitous it is. I'm starting to dislike it almost as much as I disliked Incineroar last generation.
fairy is the best neutral tera type basically nothing relevant hits it super effectively. tera grass loses to fire ogerpon which isn’t great. you also lose to tera blast flying landorus fairy also hard walls chiyu
@@Mvshotz chi yu has 13% usage and is the 11th most used pokemon in the format. not sure what you mean that its not relevant? it even got second place at LAIC
