As sad as Amy’s story is, I have to applaud the creators for how original it is. When I saw the stair well, I expected them to do the trope of “messed up kid pushes someone down a flight of stairs”. Instead, they went with how his actions of making her drink caused her to kill herself. In a way, it’s much more horrifying as it emphasizes just how young Amy is. I mean, what child hasn’t imagined they could fly?

I really like how the ghosts aren't evil like they are in most horror games. It makes them feel more like they were actual people rather than just demons. The communication aspect is really interesting, too.

Amy’s full story: 1. Jimmy stole her purse 2. Jimmy soaked it (or another toy) in the turpentine (which is similar to gasoline) 3. He handed it back to her and lit it on fire 4. He threatened her with a sword when she wanted to see a doctor for her burned hands 5. He gave her liquor and told her it was medicine 6. She got drunk 7. Because she was drunk she thought she could float down the stairwell 8. She jumped down the stairwell and “couldn’t wake up anymore” (she died)

I am absolutely pleased with the voice acting in this game! The voice of Amy is exactly how I'd imagine the voice of a ghost of a girl that died at 10 years of age! Just the way she speaks, her tonation, everything! Perfect, down to a T

I had a nightmare about this game the other day, long story short, I dreamed that I had escaped the hotel and ran into a town, screaming that Jimmy was a killer, but no one believed me. Eventually, Jimmy showed up and tried to take me back to the hotel, stating that I was sick and that I didn't know what I was talking about. If a horror game literally gives you nightmares, then you know it's a good game XD

Amy lying at the bottom of the stairs has gotta be one of the most disturbing visuals I've seen in a horror game.

Never have I been so tense as when Markiplier is frantically scrambling a room to look the door.

The lighting, atmosphere, and the way jimmy is a live and moving threat really make this something special. It’s insane how intimidating this game makes a normal looking British man named jimmy feel

So basically, 1. Jimmy stole Amy's purse and took money from it so that he can play the games in the arcade. 2. When Amy confronted him about it, he took her teddy bear and doused it in Turpentine. 3. He gave the teddy bear back to her and then lit it on fire while it was still in her hands, which ended up burning her. 4. She wanted to tell the doctor about her burns but he threatened her with a sword to get her to stay. 5. He gave her alcohol and said that it would make her feel better, making her drink a lot. 6. She got so drunk and felt that she was light enough to jump down the stairs safely so she jumped off the banister and ended up accidentally killing herself.

26:30 Its sad to think about the fact that, not only did Amy die so early in life, but she's probably been dead for atleast a decade and has yet to realize that she's dead.

Honestly Maya’s breathing is what scares me most. Not only does it just sound creepy but it feels so real. Like she sounds as out of breath as anyone would be if they had been running from a killer.

It's been quite a long time since we've seen these scary games that gives chills and shivers instead of jumpscares, this game is crazy well made

They did too good a job of portraying a poor kid dying tragically and their spirit not knowing any better. Damn. Made me tear up a bit near that end.

Mark, some advise. When the lights flicker you’re close to a ghost vision. You then have to go around a try to find the right “angle” to activate the vision, it might be further down the hall it might be peeking through a eye hole. just play around near the flickering light.
