700mbps lessss goooooo At least that’s what mine at my house does and it seems about as fast as this In like 5-10 years I bet we will be downloading terabytes in minutes and gigs in seconds, technology is crazy
@@liamcrowwardartist4745 I may be wrong about this but I believe Muhammad was a prophet, and the founder of Islam. God sent to him revelations which he preached to his people. He gained many followers and they were persecuted. It was a struggle but through his teachings and a bit of good ole warfare he united the Arabain peninsula under one faith, Islam. I believe the word essentially means total submission (to god). Followers of Islam are called Muslims. His teachings and divine revelations would go on to form The Quran. I could be wrong but I don't think Muslims see Muhammad the same way Christians see Jesus. Christians see Jesus as an embodiment of God himself. Whereas I believe Muslims see Muhammad more like a messenger or person whom which God chooses to reach out to his people. So not really the guy who has the ability to give mercy. Although I could be wrong. I'm not religious myself but it surely is fascinating to me.
Yeh kicking from the boundary is hard but he actually made me have a glass shattering moment. "How is it miraculous? No ones defending him and you cant do anything" He actually made a great point and had me re-evaluating our sport for a second lol
One of my best friends is an Ausi. His dad use to play pro ball for a team in adelede and when ever the big games on we go over there and have a great time. I’m still a little confused by the rules but it’s bad ass
This man spent 2 hours hammering his head against spawn of oggdo and it took him over 100 tries to beat it and he didnt really rage. And yet 10 minutes of playing a good ol game of footy is enough to absolutely infuriate this man. Really says a lot about australian society.
As someone who was an umpire in the past, I can tell you it only made me realise how bad the umpires actually are. It ruined watching footy for me, and the pre-holding the ball hover/walk just does my head in.. sure if it’s obvious you can do the walk, but the top level guys will do it on the most borderline calls and I’ll be the only guy at the stadium yelling at the umpire for 5 seconds until the rest of the crowd gets in on it
We need to put a footy in his hands and have Charlie attempt to kick it accurately at that distance on the boundary line for him to grasp how difficult it is haha
Dude as someone who’s never even heard of afl when the game flagged him for running to far without bouncing I was cracking tf up when it zoomed in on the football 💀
I've ended up sprayin my kick 25 out from goals and absolutely belted the fuckin sherrin right into the fella on the marks nose before, he's lucky it was a sherrin and not a burley 🤣🤣🤣 feel like burleys are rocks compared to sherrin, good thing I played reserves tho 🤣🤣 unfortunately done my ACL twice over the years, currently 8 months post op and hoping to play again next year 🤣🤣
@@needstoast I would be extremely surprised if there were any sports shops in the US that sell footys. I’d say less than 1% of their population would even know the sport exists.
I can tolerate quite a bit as a gamer, but when companies release half baked games like NRL and AFL and still charge us the same as Fifa or NBA do, ($110Aus / Depending on sales) it’s a scam at best.
As a degen Australian (4am upload time lol) this video is a dream come true all of the AFL games from my childhood were janky as hell too even if you did know the rules
@@callummcneill6266 yeah we grew up on league and union. Soccer too. The Barassi line is a real 😂 If I'm at friends it's always League. But now AFL is pretty active through NSW and Qld schools. I think there's now a club in my town.
@@statix1 VFL is the 2s, basically the league below AFL. Which teams in the AFL can give game time to players coming back from injury or players not chosen for AFL to their respective team in the VFL
4:53 Imagine paying all that money to get front-row seats and then you get the seat where this random employee blocks your view as he silently stares at you, I'd be livid.
As an Australian, this video had me laughing so much lmfao This was so funny, especially the part where you said calling it footy was the most Australian thing ever
1:57 actually hilarious, since the MCG draws so many people to AFL games that it puts an absolutely massive amount of strain on the Melbourne train network
@@StrangerHappened Thanks Basil. I just want to give you a bit of an insight into the Saturday afternoon team. We’re a bunch of unique individuals - Malthouse, Harley, Zempilas, McLachlan and myself. We’re gonna engage with our minds and our hearts. We’re gonna exchange ideas, thoughts and even our energy. And to speak from your heart you need to have courage. You need to be honest and authentic. We’re not always gonna get it right. And sometimes, you’re not going to agree with us. But that’s okay, because just like you we care. Just like you, we’re passionate about the game. So if you want to come along for the ride, join us on Saturday arvos, because we just love the footy.
I'm both an avid fan of AFL and video games. AFL has got to be the most difficult sport to translate into a video game. Maybe with a competent and well financed developer it could be done.
I am all for supporting smaller devs, especially like those within Australia and I understand that they are a smaller indie studio looking to make back the money they put into development, but how can they justify a $80-100 price tag when Resident Evil 4 remake was $80 (70 on Amazon) at launch and Tears of the Kingdom which launches next week at $74? The pricing makes no sense business wise considering the amount of competition they have.
My feeling for it being that price is that AFL is a pretty big part of our culture, so here it kind of gets to claim triple A status automatically. We also already pay a lot for games so they'll charge just that bit extra if they think they'll get it, and since its charged by conversion rate it hits the next price tier for you guys too.
Take it from an Australian. The reason this game is $60 is because no Australian has ever bought this game. So they need to pray on the rest of the world to buy it.
The Demons always have been popular because how usually they turn the game to their favor in the 4th time, so, i'm glad that they were able to portray that with such accuracy in the game.
As an Australian myself, I used to play till I realised it's extremely homosexual to run around a field in short shorts trying to aggressively hug a bunch of other men then showering together after the game, I'll stick to my motor sports thanks, that looks mad on a good computer though I'd play this form
as an aussie this was sad that he had to exprience how afl works through this piece of garbage game i wish for him to sit down and watch a live game one time
I Didn't Even Know This Sport Existed Until I Was 16, & I've Been Watching The AFL Ever Since. It's Very Fun To Watch & Their Fans Are Very Supportive Of Their Favorite Clubs. Some Of The Rules Are That You Pass The Ball By Handballing It To A Teammate, Or Kicking It To Them. When A Teammate Catches A Mark, They Can Either Play On. Or Take A Free Kick. Since The Ball Is Very Bouncy, You Can Actually Dribble It Like A Basketball. The Middle Uprights Are Worth 6 Points & The One's On The Left & The Right Are Each Worth 1 Point. There's A Ref On The Field Who Watches & Follows What Happens, The Guys, & Or Girls, Wearing The Neon Green Shirts Are Umpires That Throw The Ball Back On The Field When It Goes Out Of Play, & Also Let The Players & Fans Know When A Goal Is Good Or Not.
Well fuck. I prayed this day wouldn't come. But here we are, our sport will never be the same again. Edit: Ok nvm, he just doesn't understand the rules. Either way tho, game is still broken.
Idk if we could ever get a major dev to make a game but the devs for all the AFL games have had the same problem. The damn holding the ball bug where you literally can be smashing the handball button but they don’t get rid of it and then the stupid hitout bug on ball ups where the CPU gets it every time and then you just immediately tackle it.
I don't think there could be a worse introduction to what is already a massive cluster fuck of a game. As much of a mess as it is, god damn I love it. If you want to see the best of this amazing sport I would recommend watching any of the streak of close games Collingwood had at the end of last season and has continued to some extent this season too.
I am an Australian and just so you know afl was around before the nfl. The VFL was made in 1896 and turned into the AFL in 1990 and NFL came out in 1920
-AFL gets its roots from the Irish Game of Gaelic Football which dates back to the 1670's. -American Foot Ball originated from English rugby which started around 1871.
There’s a lot of moving parts but it’s legit the heart and soul of australia, baffles me how americans haven’t heard of it or atleast know of it as australia’s culture. Need charlie to watch a video explaining the rules 😂
simple explanation of the rules - if you mark the ball you get to take a free kick (or you can continue with the ball if you'd rather run it towards goal) - if you kick the ball between the middle posts you get 6 points (goal), if you hit the middle posts or kick between the outer posts you get 1 point (behind). if you hit the outer posts its out of bounds - if you hold the ball for too long without passing or bouncing you lose possession. if the ball rolls out of bounds it gets tossed up from the outer edge back into play, if you kick it out of play its a straight overturn of possession - fouls can result in overturning possession, giving distance advantage, and even an inside-50 (50 metre lines are marked at either end like in soccer with the goal boxes)
AFL is the true Aussie sport and as such is way more casual on rules than almost any other sport. It also has way more players on the massive field. It's pretty simple once you get it.
@@sneer0101 what a chronically online comment, some people are naturally athletic and are good at multiple sports, some people aren’t. What’s bizarre about that
I’ve played rugby, basketball, football, american football, cricket and baseball growing up. 9 minutes into this video and I still have absolutely no idea what is happening, the camera angle is very disorienting too.
I went to school with Motlops, that family had put quite a few of it's family through to the AFL. You need to know the rules and the field is bigger than gridiron
5:19 My guy I will never be able to fully explain in a way that you would know how hard it is to kick a goal from the pocket unless you have it a go. As you get further along the boundary line and closer to the side of the goals the more the angle closes on the goal posts, professionals miss from there all the time.
