Yep. As an SE Asian-American, me and my other SE Asian-American friends would play Cricket with each other in either of our front yards or backyards lol
Cricket is crazy hype in India. People will stab each other at the loss of a wicket. It has led to some of the best bar fights anyone could ever imagine in history
Not just in India but in Pakistan and Bangladesh as well. Hell people get so insane over cricket that they literally toss out their televisions from their house's rooftops if their teams loses lol.
I agree that Cricket ain't the MOST popular sport on the planet but Cricket is HUGE in the Indian Subcontinent AND the subcontinent happens to have 1.7billion people. So, just for that reason alone, Cricket is the one of the most popular sports
As a Pakistani-Irishman, this video title made me hype. Would absolutely lose my mind if Charlie ever decided to form a twitch all star cricket one day event.
Cricket's actually a pretty fun sport to watch. There's a version called T20 which lasts around the same time as a regular baseball game in America. Just imagine Baseball but you only have ONE INNING EACH, with 10 outs. It's wild!
Ohhh man, as an Aussie I just want to offer a heartfelt apology for you having to sit through Big Ants work. I mean, they try their best but.....they're just not quite up to it yet.
@@achintsingh8745 It'd be real nice if all the cricketing bodies can kick in a bit of cash, and help the game get some polish. They could get EA to make it, have them implement an ultimate team mode, and they would all make ridiculous amounts of cash.
I’d say it’s probably the worlds second most popular sport, purely because literally everyone in India and Pakistan has cricket as a second religion. And that’s a lot of people. Not to mention the Caribbean, Aussies, Kiwis and even a lot of Brits.
According to World Atlas it IS the world's second most popular sport with 2.5 Billion fans, compared to Football's 4 Billion the real shocker is that hockey is number 3 with 2 Billion fans.
@@greatalexander3820 In most of the sources I've checked basketball and hockey seem to trade the 3rd and 4th spot a lot. I never really consider either field hockey or field hockey to be popular at all, let alone 3rd/4th.
@@DrmMemesGaming not to mention the National sport of pakistan and india are hockey lmao but they still love Cricket more than hockey maybe the stats are based on national sports..
@@hankjones4692 Plenty of countries play it, its just one of those sports that isn't popular in the USA so all the Americans assume its just India, Pakistan and the UK
@King Pistachion Honestly I'm amazed there's even enough of us to cause that much of an annoyance. Actually thinking about it more, it would be a combination of Aussies, Kiwis, English, Indian, Pakistani and *insert other former British colony here* cricket fans being annoying.
Charlie: Cricket seem like something I would play in my backyard. All we did as kids in New Zealand (Probably iswell in Australia and India but I can't speak for those countries)
ngl bigger bikes seems like fire, idk if it was the epic physics in the game, the dope ass fucking soundtrack or the amazing fucking colors kicking in but bigger bikes seemed like such fucking fire bro or maybe the brownie kicked in the mirrors edge borderlands styled copy of superhot looks pretty fucking sick tho like legit this is a vr game in the making man charlie dont know about zero gravity
That's why you always read the "Early Access" notes. Specifically the parts that ask "What is the current state of the game?" and "How long do you plan on the game being in early access."
Charlie, you forgot the biggest country where cricket is like a religion. It's India. But, you're right, apart from 15 or so nations that play it seriously, it's pretty much an unknown sport. BTW, that basketball game was pretty cool IMO. Too bad, it must compete in a space filled with shi@ty games...
You have summoned all hell, cricket fans are the most defensive, crazy people to ever exist on this earth. I pray for anyone that comes across an insane cricket fan, but tbh, the sport is fun asf
Grapple Hoops looks actually damn awesome, lots of speedrun potential, heck maybe some coherent story even, also possibilities of user generated content
the guy reviewing at the start was super popular on ABC television at some point, going by the name Bajo, he's moved to twitch these days, but he was really great with "Hex" on a show called Good Game and Good Game Spawn Point; they were really great together. Also, the real Ashes are on at the moment and England have been getting spanked so far, lol
6:08 The “ET vibes” were extremely strong with this one. I was waiting for Charlie to stick out an illuminated pointer finger toward the camera and ask to “phone home…” 👽👉🏻🔴 🤣😂🤣
