@AFK Indie Nah, that's only part true. He got cancelled because he put the #undertale tag into the videos description, trying to milk the algorithm some more. And then when people called him out on it, he tried to be an asshole about it until Toby Fox personally shut him down.
Wow, nice job mate. i was very inconsistent about buying this game, and now Charlie plays this game, i guess its a sign for me. I dont know about much this game but i believe you made a good job.
@@marxyy I played this a while back and yeah timing the jumps and dodging fast enough is really freaking hard. That and the speed makes it hard to clear the rhythm game parts.
@@ie6145 Yep. Was in the same spot as you, I had to go to sleep. I just watched the vod the next morning (good background noise). Even I was starting to get frustrated with how tough it was at one point, lmao
Oh goodness. I mean, he tried expert on his first playthrough. Not knowing how to play the game can be a bit of a problem when you have it on the second hardest difficulty.

Thank you so much for bringing recognition to this criminally underrated game. I was incredibly surprised how little attention it got, but seeing this getting on trending, and getting so many views, yeah, thanks man
@@newvideoonmychannel2431 aww dw man math is hard! Khan Academy has some quality free lessons for mathematics 😁 you could also pay attention in school instead of looking for attention here
Can confirm, this game slaps and absolutely deserves more mainstream attention. The music track is amazing and I highly recommend listening to "You Want Gnomes" and "Tinnitus Dance".
@@Avarrocka "why oh you are LOVE" though also yeah a lot of this game is unexplored/undocumented, like the wiki is really underdeveloped and there's some secrets and codes still left in the game so i'm glad more people are getting in on it
@@bobsidian It was a great time ,I played this while my friends were watching and I kept dying from all the goddamn colors goofy af, someone should try it. Btw I think this game was made for it.
It's pretty meh. Many of the attacks are placed so random and are impossible to predict. I mean I can beat the enemies, but it's almost always just luck and I never feel like I accomplished anything :D
@@ragtag369_ It's called Everhood, I beat it two days ago. It is a Rhythm Game on an LSD trip that after playing will send you into a 5 hour existential crisis about mortality.

I am SO happy to see Charlie played this game. He is not exaggerating when he says the game slaps; the ENTIRE soundtrack is just banger after banger after banger!
@@Unus_Annus_ maybe they can do something with the S tier actor Charles White known for his role in the Hunger Games and the recent film Last of the Grads
"This game slaps" Doesn't once mention the name of the game anywhere in the video or description. Had to hunt it down on his Twitch P.S. It is called Everhood
@@maverickREAL Exactly. The reason that there's good indie games is because someone has an innovative idea, and it doesn't get focus grouped to death to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Big business kills creativity 99% of the time.
Yeah no, I'm on my first playthrough rn, and it has so much charm to it, and the music, gameplat, and writing is just so amazing, my favorite part is the dnd campaign segment, the mech battle with flan is so fun
Great replies. Anyway yeah it's a shame he didn't have the rest of his streams edited, but to be honest spoiling this experience should be a considered a felony.
I was in the twitch chat the entire time he was playing this game which was more than five hours, the entire twitch chat would try to lie to him about how close he was to beating the unicorn guy. The entire chat was also begging him to stop playing expert. Besides that I was drawing him and made a friend in his chat, best vibes from Cr1tikal
I watched this on unions channel and twitch, it is very underrated, and it’s fucking amazing. The fact that you are playing this will probably get a lot of people to play this game, and like I said, it’s very underrated.
hey charlie, i havnt been depressed or helped through hard times by your videos, but they do always put a smile on my face, please keep up the absolute pog content
they even throw in a "lost spirit" who is basically indeictical to gaster and dissapears, it has alot of similarities to undertale so it makes sense that people will reference it
Bruh it's literally Undertale and Guitar Hero combined with a pitch of a DOOM music type for some. The gameplay style and the outlook of the whole thing just has that feel

This is a very funky game, love the soundtrack and visuals, though that one song was kinda maybe too trippy, but still good, and still doable it seems so, not really much to complain at
"a lot of these songs sound like if Daft Punk was really into Undertale" is actually a really good way to describe the way this game sounds overall, i've had a hard time doing that because there's a lot of range in the soundtrack. and the soundtrack IS fantastic. also, unlike this page is claiming, this is not Undertale, this is Everhood. It is an unconventional, rhythm battle based rpg with themes of psychedelic spirituality and philosophy at the core of its narrative. it does get a lot of comparison to Undertale, and it's easy to see why. it has a lot of the same spirit/personality, but i feel like the intensity is turned up a few notches. there was nothing particularly 'inappropriate' in the subject matter that i recall, but it felt very much aimed at a more mature audience, particularly those interested in deeper thinking and philosophy. i went into the game essentially blind, and played through once. it was a wild ride, a pensive experience - and it is clear that there is still more left for me to go back to experience if i like, which is really exciting. i get why some people argue that it's not a 'true' rhythm game, but i don't exactly agree. i'd still call it a rhythm game - it just approaches how rhythm is woven into the game mechanics differently. instead of moving 'on beat' or 'with' the music like we are accustomed to, it is more like you are dodging the sounds, in an abstract way. i found it really interesting, and very satisfying. as a massive bonus, it also has a great range of difficulty settings that you can change at ANY point during your playthrough, which makes it accessible for gamers of a wide rangeskill levels. if that sounds cool to you at all, i beg of you, just play it, and for the best experience, with as little prior knowledge as you can.
yes yes yes thank you this game deserves EVERYTHING!!! EVERHOOD is truly a hidden gem that should be discovered by more people! (Not many tho I dont want a UT scenario again)
"I don't really like Undertale very much, but this is slapping. And I think it's just cause the soundtrack is soooo good." But...but...Undertale has a phenomenal soundtrack...
