The ALL NEW RP Hypertrophy App: your ultimate guide to training for maximum muscle growth-rp.app/hypertrophy 0:00 Intro 0:58 How its made 5:35 Insane Atlantis gym 10:43 Major Takeaways and working out
Well, I guess most gyms Preference members that rarely show up. And if your machines are not only cheap but also shitty, you'll have less people using them.
Most commercial gym owners don't know shit and don't work out. The Gold's I go to recently sorted it's machines by paint colour and the gym owner thought having a bench under a halogen light was a good idea, even after an employee pointed out it was dumb she was told no one would care.
@@kinginthenorth1437 that's hilarious :D That reminds of my university gym. It has the deadlift platforms on the second floor right above the cardio area.
For those wondering, the non-Atlantis piece at our gym is the seated row by Star Trac. Not sure if available by them anymore but it's a really solid piece!
Please look at what Discovery did for their chest supported t-bar row. They use a foot-activated latch to rack the weight as opposed to having to twist to the side.
I was a welder working in weld shops for 10 years. I do a different profession now, but this is awesome to see the manufacturer get some attention. Making machines like this can be really hard work
I’m so jealous of the members who get to use that gym! Being the first to try out prototypes and also having such a great selection of equipment that is made with passion and dedication!
Right?! The crazy thing is most of the people training seemed to be regular folks who just live in the area lol, totally oblivious to their "privilege." God, it's painful to use that word now. Damn you, SJWs! (shakes fist at sky) - Dr. Mike
I live in the uk and our gym is full of atlantis equipment at least 60 machines and also lots of prime stuff with the adjustable strength curves it a great time to be alive
This video was an amazing journey. "Not a single machine, in my own gym, that I created, is as good as it could be, there is always room for improvement." -Raymond. What a great man
I'm a trainer and lifter here in Canada, and I never knew Atlantis was a home grown company! Amazing!! I always noticed the Atlantis pieces in the previous gym I worked at. Absolutely some of the most well made, highly functional , and effective equipment I've ever used! (Et grace a la programme d'immersion a l'ecole je peux aussi lire le signe sur le mur! lol!)
Owned a gym 1997-2004. In 2001 ATLANTIS flew us out to Montreal and we toured their factory. Raymond doesn’t look like he aged much at all. Needless to say, we brought their equipment line into our gym. Looks like they just keep getting better. Keep it up guys!
Amazing video! We're lucky in Québec because Atlantis equipment is common here and pretty much everywhere. Best quality! Many weird prototypes scattered around the gyms everywhere in the province gotta look and search for them!
pretty crazy I didnt even know Atlantis was from Québec (laval). It explains why you see it everywhere even in community gyms like YMCA. We are truly lucky for that.
Mike: But you're not me, so be happy about that. Me, having watched Mike in awe for years for his wit, physique and charming looks: Stop that. That's my parasocial friend you're talking about. Leave him the heck alone, he's perfect.
Great content! It's always great to visit a manufacturer. I'm lucky enough to live 50Km from Panatta HQ in Italy, many gyms in this area have their equipment
Dr. Mike's Charlie walking into Raymond's Wonka factory. The excitement is palpable. Also Raymond is pretty jacked, using your own supply as a gym manufacturer can only end in good things. Great vid!
I’m amazed by the dedication to the craft, the genius design and engineering of the machines and the strive for constant improvement. Thank you RP for the content and for promoting this incredible company!
Thanks Mike for the amazing video! Far out I wish we had equipment like that in our part of the world. And what an honour to meet the founder who is so passionate about equipment. He has really thought about everything
I recently fell in love with the Atlantis pendulum squat. It's the only leg machine I have ever used where the descent actually feels good. Amazing ROM. Adding this gym to my bucket list.
I love that Raymond kept up with his dream. It saddens me how much most people just sell out the moment they can. Drop everything like it is nothing but a widget. No passion. Like they said, they aren't trying to be the biggest, but the best. It's a noble endeavor that has been basically lost in every industry. Certainly every public company.
That whole ethos of constant improvement, even down to the minute details again and again and again is so fulfilling. Its like Raymond took his experience from bodybuilding and applied it to this venture virtually on a one for one basis. It's something I really gel with. In my current job I made a lateral move in the company I'm working for to fill a role that had been previously vacant for a long time but it's absence was finally noted in the bottom line. Because of this I'm in the lucky position where I have no set of procedures and processes handed to me from the previous person. I get to look at problems, apply tentative solutions and constantly tweak and refine until the result is night and day different from when I first tackled it. When people talk about creativity, Atlantus actually does this in a way that's not abstract or hippy dippy for the average person, which is beautiful to see.
awesome video gentleman beautiful to see people who have lots of passion towards gym equipment also nice to see where the atlantis equipment is fabricated it’s amazing the organization and effort that it takes in fabricating gym equipment always looking forward to see more of the atlantis products they have to offer congrats again atlantis keep up the excellent work
Machine designs an under appreciated key factor. Most current gym designs are ok, could be better in terms of feel as well as reduced joint/tissue stress.
This is so fucking cool!! I love their process. Just such a humble mentality to have especially as big as their name is now. Thanks for this Mike and Atlantis.
I've watched a lot of RP content, and if Dr. Mike gives his approval, I'm definitely inclined to consider getting them. They certainly appear to use high-quality materials.
Amazing video! Love their machines and I think they should have Atlantis machines in every gym. You really see and feel that they put effort into the engineering and that they try the machines themselves
Wow, this would literally be my dream gym. I'm often frustrated with bad machines at my gym here in Norway. Even simple stuff like rowing with cable has the footrest too close, so you can't even get a proper stretch.
Spot on I have the opposite in my gym. I'm a short arse and the footrest so far away to get a great stretch on seated rows I would have to total lock out my legs or even worse actually be on my toes. Would be so simple to have an adjustable foot rest 🤨
@@RenaissancePeriodization Yeah, Technogym is big here in Finland, WAY too big for some reason. Not a big fan myself. They got deals with the biggest gym-chains in Finland, unfortunately
