I just bought your book..... The information you have given me over the year I have watched your videos is amazing but your book is priceless. Thanks girl and side note you can really see how much you love what you do.
This ingredient is my must have on my hands for almost every formula asking for emulsifying. I found out that BTMS provides such great luxurious conditioning effect. This is the main secret of impressive skincare products my customers are thanking me for. ☺️❤ Thank you Marie for this very helpful video packed with a lot of good important information! ❤
I have to say I do love the btms -50 better and in lotions yes you did a great job explaining it and I’ve been having fun making hair creams and body lotion it gives my body butters a whole different feel I love it
I'd love to try making my own products! It would be great if you did a curly hair series (I have curls, so I'd be interested!), and I was wondering if you could do a video on how to make curly hair friendly hair gel? I make my own flaxseed gel and would love to know how to make a shelf stable version. :)
You are an absolute gem Marie. Thank you for the in-depth, incredibly organised information as usual. And I can't wait to try some of those recipes, they sound divine!!
Question, if this ingredient clings so well could it not also prevent other ingredients that you are adding to your formula to function? Meaning if you're adding hydrolyzed silk Protein to your hair conditioner and you're also adding btms 50 couldn't you be preventing the hydrolyzed silk to actually enter your hair Follicle? So the hydrolyzed silk protein which is super beneficial to your hair will actually be rinsed off and what remains is the BTMs 50.
Pls don’t get me wrong. For a first timer like me could you suggest a formulation of a conditioner with just BTMS -50 or just GHTC. Because I wish to start with one simple ingredient to gain Confidence/ check results.
Thank you for all of your wonderful information. You are amazing. I am working my way through the Formula Botanica Diploma in Skincare. Thank you so much for your ingredient Encyclopedia. It has been an amazing resource for me :)
Happy to help! ❤️ Don't forget to check out my blog (humblebeeandme.com) as well-I've been blogging since 2011 while I’ve only been on RU-vid since about 2016, so there are a lot more formulations on the blog. The blog is also where my totally free ingredient encyclopedia and FAQ live, and they're both packed with tons of super-helpful information ❤️ Happy making!
Where I live I have hard well water 😕 do you have any suggestions for a good formulation to combat the tangled mess this makes ? Thanks love your videos 💕
PLANT-BASED SUBSTITUTION?: As a substitution, what if one used a basic emulsifier, along with making a hydrocolloid gell by combining glycerin with gums and other pectin and mucilage constituents such as Irish moss, xantham gum, gum aribic, or guar gum? Would these give the formula that conditioning effect you are referring to?
I looooooooooooooooooove your videos! Thank you so much I really understand everything that you teach us !!! Also you always have a sample of a cream to explain us what you mean !!! Thank you so much (from France)!!❤❤❤
I tried putting some BTMS 50 in the oil phase part of a leave-in conditioner and I got a lot of separating at the end result of the cooled down product. Can I or is BTMS 50 water soluble
Hello! I wanted information about surfactants. Since my formulation is powdered, I wanted to know if you could guide me to a powder surfactant. My terms are that it is powdered, neutral, cationic, or amphoteric charged and water solubale. Lol I know its specific ... but your help is greatly appreciated!
Unfortunately I can’t find BTMS 50 but I can find each ingredient that are in it. Can I make my own using the percentage shown on the video of the three ingredients of BTMS 50? Thank you
It's linked in the description box below the video :) If you're not sure what that means, please read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/ Happy making!

Marie, I love your channel and everything but please STOP 🛑 talking about BTMS. It is very hazardous to humans and also to water bodies and to marine life. Please please please stop using and recommending any BTMS.
