Just watched your course vlog with Peter Finch, great content, and thought I would check this out too. Great video and great explanation which is really simple to follow. My issue is that I am not getting any height from my iron shots, which is maybe down to too much lean, but I'll be trying this down the range next time. Thanks Lewis and keep the great content coming
Hi Lewis . Thank you for your great instruction. I've saved all you're videos. With regards to hip turn, can you consider doing a video on foot flare and its affect on the golf swing? Thank you. Best!
Really good video. I was curious, so I looked up how trackman measures low point. They measure it from the geometric center of the clubhead (not the ball) at maximum compression. I think that means it measures it roughly from the back of the ball, assuming the clubhead will move forward a little from first contact to maximum compression.
I understand the concept of shaft lean at impact' I have strong grip but still hit just behind the ball. I need a swing thought at start of downswing.Hitting down doesn't help.. maybe opening hips at start of downswing or covering the ball with upper body before impact. HELP
You need to keep your head slightly behind the ball for the entire swing, while moving your lead hip and lead shoulder down and towards the target. You should start your downswing with your hip and lead shoulder leading the way. Rotation will happen as a reaction to your arms.
