As a Texas-Ex Undergraduate and Law Graduate, kudos to my beloved alma mater for stepping up to the plate and doing not only what is legally right, but also doing what is morally right. An equal playing field for all regardless of race, color or creed, is a win for everyone! Equality means just that, we are all equal!

Finally, that Box Checking scam is done.

I'm Hispanic and a college graduate. I never needed a safe space, especially not from White people. I am Spanish, Turkish and Cuban. My husband is half Cuban/ half Hungarian. Neither one of us needed DEI to succeed. DEI is for lazy minorities who want to put in little effort and still want to succeed. The problem with that is, it may work in college, but not in the real world. We are the United States of America. All of my employers have been White. I never found it difficult to find a job because of my minority status. The world is laughing at us. My concern now is for my grandson, and even though he is mostly Hispanic, with a great grandmother who is 100% Indian from Mexico on his father's side, he is blonde with blue eyes. Who would have ever thought that in this country someone like my grandson would be judged by his White skin because of the wrongs of the past? Shameful.

Grow up.......

What? We can't go back to segregation ?

So basically, the school is getting rid of division?

The only thing the DEI law does is it makes it a Fair playing ground for everyone so that people that were getting benefits because of the DEI law now have to play on the same playing field the rest of us do. So too bad so sad but that's life

How dose this woman know anything about the students or DEI…( accept for the fact that this lady was obviously a diversity hire)

Make the building a second student union building.

The problem of the US is that diversity contradicts equality and inclusion. I propose changing it to M(erit)E(quality)I(nclusion).

Sad, it shouldn't be a thing forever...but until we have true equality these laws are needed.
