They have a song called Whalien 52 that is about a real whale that sings at 52 hertz, much higher than any other whale in the world. It's literally the only whale in existence that sings at that hertz, so he sings alone.. It has been called the loneliest whale in the world because of that.

This song makes me so emotional. I spent my entire 20s with BTS. I’m 30 now, and we are on chapter 2. Crazy to think 10 years has already passed. Amazing Knox thank you!! Interesting to note that Suga switches to polite form in some of his verse where he directly addressing ARMY. This is quite big deal in Korean speech. Usually he writes lyrics in a sort of diary form. This way is much more poignant and if you were a Korean speaker it would jump up out at you and feel so much more personal. It’s always good to note the small things like that for international ARMY 💜💜

I agree whit you for the blending part. There so unique and versatile individually but when they’re together they give themselves to the song and to the group so that the music can be cohesive. Nothing and no one feels out of place in their songs, the placement is there for a reason. That’s also why I think it’s hard for other groups to cover their songs. Each part is given to a member for a specific reason, not just randomly distributed amongst them. There is a harmony.

They reference sooo many songs and even more than that, they even use lines from Fan slogans from their concerts as lyrics, so a tribute to us in a different way. The details are always *chef’s kiss*. I hope you can listen to Whalien 52, another BTS song which is where the whale lyric comes from. The lyricism is so so good in that. The lines “meeting your eyes even in the darkness” I took as when they look out into the crowd at a concert and see ARMY. also RMs line “breathing in your voice.” They breath the voices of ARMY singing along at concerts. I believe "Even the lonely whales, we're singing like them now" is a reference to "Whalien 52". If you haven't heard it yet go listen to it and look up the English lyrics too. My interpretation is the loney whale isn't lonely anymore as he is finally seen and they have come together with army as one voice.

So appreciative of your admiration for the guys and their talent. This song just brings tears to my eyes. Interestingly I was watching Bon Voyage Season 1 for the first time this week- I just finished the last episode and omg the letter that PD Bang wrote to them about how he was hard on them but they were even more dedicated than he could have imagined and where they were in 2016 and where they were headed in their careers was more than he could ever hope for etc. and look at them NOW!
