It is, and I totally agree with you, it has a much more authentic look and sound. Probably the Vance&Hines saves the bike quite some weight. If I had to change the stock exhaust, I'd definetely go for a ZARD

You did not just "upgrade" the GORGEOUS two pipes to a HIDEOUS single muffler. 🤮🤮 There are plenty of better looking aftermarket options.

I have that exact same Vance & Hines exhaust on my scrambler. The removal of the baffle is mandatory! Don't let the tamper-proof bolt fool you. That exhaust was clearly designed to sound awesome without it. A Torx bit will work in an Allen bolt head in a pinch. If the bolt is in too tight/seized and the Torx bit starts slipping use the next bigger size and hammer it in. It actually doubles as a nice trick to remove stripped/rounded off Allen bolts. BTW, when you take it off if you drop the screw inside the carbon fiber housing the easiest way to get it out is with a magnet.

It's not the best. The best one is the one that doesn't have a cst. You can see one in Dutch's from Bike Shed. Go check that sound out. And u can get the baffle out. Trust me, this one is the best!

Love the content! Thanks guys. And thank you Papa Yam! Your dolcent tones have soothed my road hungry heart on many occasions. Especially in our own Arkansas snowpocolyse! Being a proud owner of a small eclectic stable of my own, I find myself being drawn to my small displacement bikes. Notably my beloved ninja 250. Being the quintessential starter bike for a couple of generations, leads me to this question. Considering a reasonable budget ($2000 maximum?). How badass could a beginner make their first love?

Is there a practical purpose for a *high* fender/mudguard if there is already a *low* fender/mudguard? On most ADV bikes, that high thing just looks like added weight and air flow drag in order to make the bike look "endur-ish".

Zard Exhaust are definitely the best Exhaust IMO. You pay the Price you get the best. Have a Full system on my Triumph Bobber Black it is Fantastic sounding.

Love Triumphs but would love to see a Moto Guzzi V7 III Rough/Stone on the channel to review, it looks a really unique bike and great reviews, one guy said it was the best all round bike hes found better than the MT-07 which intrigued me. Hope the big freeze ends over there for you guys soon, you might have to put those coal plants on 110% for a while hopefully fend off the Ice Age a little longer. Really cold Summer in Australia here also, normally 130 where I am was 73 the other day, I am enjoying it actually.

I've done a ton of mods to my Street Scrambler ($$$) and hands down the Vance & Hines exhaust (+decat+xpipes) was the absolute best investment...really frees the bike up and the tune is pretty damn sweet!!

Need to eliminate the catalytic converter at the front which compounds the heat at your right leg. Check your SnapOn Tools truck for tamper proof allen sockets also SnapOn pin punch applied at just the right angle to tamper proof pin often breaks them off. Wear safety glasses.
