I'm experimenting with it, but it's definitely time for me to make a video about this paddle craze that's been going on lately. It's getting a bit out of hand.

Yes, there's a bit of a craze going on atm. I need to do a video about this because it's getting a bit ridiculous. Linda loves her new paddle, but I haven't tried it yet. I do like the SLK Halos quite a bit. I'll be doing a video about these as well.

Good eye, I have both of them. What's your take on the paddle craze? I'm trying to get people's opinions.

@@PickleballKitchen Well it sure is becoming big business it seems. I have a SixZero double black diamond paddle and the feel of these thermoformed paddles are really nice. Very sturdy and the spin is great. I just don't know where the market will go next and how are they going to regulate? I heard mentioned that instead of going after paddles they could regulate the balls as far as the height of bounce ect.. Literally everyone is on the raw carbon surface train though. Ben, Matt Wright with Onix, and others are using CF prototypes. Anna leigh is said to have a new line coming out with Paddletek. It's said that Ben liked the Legacy PRO so much that Joola's new paddle is a copy. Gamma is holding strong.. So far! I'm not the most experienced player but I'd love to hear your opinion on the technology vs older paddles. My thing is that.. are the players getting better or are all the paddles just feircer weapons?? And unlike tennis, you can't see if shenanigans are happening inside. Ha. With the explosion of the game and potential money to be made, there certainly is motive

@@PickleballKitchen Yeah, me too! I got several paddles that I read good reviews about for my skill level, some I got as Demo’s, some on Black Friday sale, one from my instructor used. I got the Gearbox CX14 on your recommendation, but haven’t tried it yet. Trying to figure out which one I like best. Then the problem is every month a “new improved” paddle comes out!

​@@bippie999 I totally understand that. Do you feel like ther's a bit of FOMO or "keeping up with the Jones" going on? I'm trying to get a feel for where people are right now. I personally think some of the buzzwords are getting out of hand and it's putting too much pressure on players.

@@PickleballKitchen Yes, it’s like cars; well she wants a Range Rover because it’s prestigious and some people get a racquet because Ben Johns uses it. The pressure is if you don’t have the latest model with this design or this material your racquet is no good! Also like gym shoes; if I have a Micheal Jordan shoe maybe I’ll be a better b-ball player - NOT!

At that point in time, I was trying out all sorts of stuff. I'm using the Gearbox CX 14 Ultimate right now.

Oh good, I would like to see your longer term reviews of both form factor (E vs H). 🙏 If you can only have one paddle, would you select the elongated version or the standard version and why?
