I have a 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8 that is stock. I reached 70,000 miles two weekends ago. I did lots of research in 2020 and 2021 learning about cars and what the Genesis Coupe is capable of. In terms of more horsepower, my best option would be to get a built 2.0 motor, or LS3 engine installed. I started a new job at a game company in December and I am saving up money. Honestly, if I were rich and I had the knowledge I do about cars compared to when I purchased it in 2017 or 2018, I would get the new 2020 Supra or C8. Even the new Nissan Z will be amazing and it is approximately $40,000. Then you have the C8 ZO6 coming, and then the C8 ZR1,and finally the C8 ZORA. Assuming WWIII hasn't destroyed everyone by then. I don't know WHAT to do with the Genesis Coupe anymore. I like the way it looks, and the stock horsepower it has, but I am bored of that horsepower and bored of cars always trying to race me when I am stock. The only way to make it fast is to build the motor, which is super expensive, and only a few companies and people work on the car. Everyone says, "Don't boost it! It will BLOW!" Maaaan...
Don't boost it... IT WILL BLOW! 😄Truth is the chassis is maxed out from factory so take it to a track and have fun. Best bet is to enjoy it until you upgrade. Keep it stock though because at this point it's becoming a collector. Stay tuned I have something VERY SPECIAL coming! Thanks for watching! 😁
Nah I’m keeping mine forever. I like widebody cars and for some reason I can’t pull myself to cut up a c5 corvette, Nissan Z, or Supra. Bc no one cares for our genesis coupe it didn’t seem so bad.
