The Lorikeet is a Shannon Mutipher cocktail from Tiki: Modern Tropical Cocktails (link below) and a drink inspired by the Jungle Bird. The Angostura and Peychauds add a hint of bitterness and the Peychauds add the iconic color of the traditional Jungle Bird. The rye whiskey is the big departure from the original and creates something entirely new and welcome to the tropical and tiki drink world. This is a great cocktail for anyone who enjoys any kind of whiskey.
