Huge accomplishment about going fast bro. I only got up to 60mph speeds at Devils peak DH by wedging my Paris savants and every run people would come up to me at the bottom stating that my board was TWITCHING the whole way down. Somehow I didn't really notice it xD Paris aren't the speediest trucks but naturally this product is going to help that tremendously.
So thankful I got to try these! Really really enjoying these on my trucks. Feels like $5 precisions haha it’s legendary. Can confirm they work with the savant baseplate and v3 hanger combo.
Great idea, I have an evo with V3's that I've never "upgraded" because the setup was just so dreamy. Definitely going to pop some of these in and try them out. Looking forward to the days when cast trucks have these by default.
Got a chance to try these on a few medium-speed hills. The break-in period was pretty short - after about a mile they were good to go and got progressively better. I thought from Owen's description that I would barely notice them, but for me they totally changed the character of the board. Running 81/85 front, 90/93 rear, the board is way snappier and has more dive, like I can grip through a few more degrees of turn than before. The response is sharper overall, more aggressive, and at low angles of turn it's easy to draw precise lines. It suggests they really do take a lot of sideload off the bushings and the reduced slop is easily felt through your feet. I doubt you'd notice much difference at really high speed where the turn angles stay low, but at lower speeds the board is better at darting around and more forgiving. I have to say that for downhill I like the feel of Paris V3's with these inserts more than Calibers or Bears with the plug bushings, and it saves you buying a whole extra set of different-shaped bottom bushings.
I modified my Paris v2s with riot plugs and riptide pivot cups. Also swapped the rear baseplate for a randal 28° dewedged to 24° Super stable, it works like a dream
I highly rate them. I had some I made from 93a venom bushings when the stock savant inserts wore out. They made the trucks work so good and I ended up using them in all my Paris trucks hence forth ....
I made 93a Venom inserts too, but mine were so uneven. They still really improved the truck, so I wasn’t surprised when these 95a perfect-fit inserts were awesome
they might work with savants but not with regular Paris V3‘s. They are too high, creating a gap between bushing and hanger. The trucks become unstable and twitchy. Can‘t recommend
