This is the first video I've seen to capture how I play the game - log in, get into a ship and just fly anywhere. No "meta", no complaining about "nerfs", just enjoying flying and imagining the future gameplay possibilities. It's just fantastic. Great work.
Got to do a pretty nice group fly with some Org bros this last Saturday. I'm in Space Tomato's organization and we had a little ship show and then did some flying together before heading to take on a few missions together. The atmosphere of a bunch of bros just cruising into the sunrise was together. We had a Starfarer Gemini in the lead with a small assortment of other ships. Hammerhead, 400i, 300i, Carrick, C2, Terrapin, Raft, Corsair, and finally myself in a borrowed 890J. We don't do formation flight as an org, so we didn't do great but we all had fun. Then when everyone else landed and were loading up Fury's to go swarm some poor pirate, I got to do a low flyover in the 890j before giving it back to it's owner and signing off. Star citizen is one of those games that I'm excited just to get an opportunity to sit down and play for a couple hours. No other game has brought me so much child-like joy just to exist and go from place to place in. I get goosebumps just thinking about the next time I can go train my close to surface flying skills
This is very inspiring. Can't agree more about the analog flying, if you experience dual sticks you just can't imagine going back. It's the whole game for me.
Yeah I'm my org this last weekend here we gathered around 80 people together broke down into 4 hammerheads fully crewed and filled the rest with other ships etc we formed a combat fleet and attacked the uee navy for fun trying to get them to fight and while that didn't work out due to the uee fleet not showing we later re organized and did a big pvp battle with 2 hammerheads on each side. An org to help you through the struggles of bugs and advice and stuff really helps. But the game is still fun solo too as there is many things to do and try.

o7 CMDRs.... You nearly got me cry, coz this video shows how i feel about Star Citizen! When i dont face the bugs and server issues... i really enjoy this Game fully. I have an Gift-Interaction-Organization where i send ingame Credits to Player who cant afford good Ships just to make them happy to fly something special to enjoy the Game more and i enjoy to spend real Money to buy UECs for gifting other Players by playing hide and seek ;)

HI @@Spelljammer1 . Performance. I am currently running on a 11thGen i7 laptop but with only the onboard graphics. So I suffer with very low frame rates especially around the major landing zones. 😝 But I am saving up for a better rig... 😉
Great job. It's about time someone put together a love letter instead of a ranting break up letter. Being a backer since 2013, I love this project as much now as I did then. People need to stop wishing for the completed project and start enjoying it for what it is right now. If they did that, they would appreciate it much more. Enjoy the changes as they come in. Enjoy the anticipation of things to come. Savor the moment. Stop living in resentment.
Awesome cinematic shots! I especially love the frozen lake shots, I assume that's on Microtech. One thing I would love to see more is telephoto shots of your formation and sunset/sunrise, where the sun is iconically big in the background, that would be breathtaking! Keep up the great work!

Wish i knew someone that plays the game. Ive been playing for 3 weeks now and I love it. I bought razor x and start doing some low level fast flying above outposts. Sometimes people say in the caht whoa
Awesome vid. Does XGR still recruit? :P Was part of orgs in the past but they died out over time. Mostly been solo'ing but I think it's time to bite into an org. Now just got to find one that fits my play style, which is a bit all over the place really but one main element is I'm what they call "lawful-good" style (read: goody two shoes, or carebear). Am into racing but amateur. Had posted a bunch of racing ideas on spectrum years ago but those threads are long forgotten now :/

Thanks for solidifying my belief in star citizen, it's more than just earning money doing missions. Almost a decade for me and as each year passes it just gets better. Star citizen has so much to offer, I just love this kind of content. Look forward to see you guys in the Vers.🤟
Nice edit. I always have too much stuff to do rather than too little. Of course I get frustrated when things aren't working the way they should that frustration is rooted in all the time I lost not doing the things I enjoy. There is a good time or a good idea waiting to happen.
I love microTech for formation flying. Thicker atmosphere means lower speeds and stronger aerodynamic feel, it has beautiful vistas, and you can land just about anywhere to relax or regroup!
Basically you have too many control options, and with formation flying you need to limit their amount. Some ships can be controlled by just rolling and strafing up. If you have roll on pedals - you're not using right stick at all.
You control the attitude of your ship only by using thrust up/down/left/right. No need to use the right stick to pitch/roll/yaw. Aerodynamics will take care of the rest. :)
The Herald is my favorite to fly solely based on flight feel. Watching you fly around, enter atmo, makes me sad everyone just spline jumps from the cities to the space station etc. Flight time is not the place they should be reducing time sinks.
star citizen is a wonderfull idea! its my dream game.. but its poorly managed, last few patches they fucked up really bad, they sayid that they are working on certain ships to increase theyrs sale, then just dump them and dont even care. Curently i have huge trust issues with CIG.. I really want this game to succeed, but as time goes i dont even believe they will ever finished it. and if, atleast my childrens or theyrs children have something to play lol. As i sayid, SC is wonderfull idea, i love the look of it, details, flying, ship art, planets, towns, what all you can do so far in it, but it has to work. which is not most of the time lately. They are making bad decisions lately. Its kind of love and hate relationship, lately more of an hate sadly.
For me Star Citizen was the greatest dream I have had in the 48 years of my gaming life. The focus on PvP took that away from me, the dream is shattered. 😭
pvp focus for now, they're just starting to flesh out industry. Who knows where it'll take us 5 or even 10 years from now. Could be something truly incredible still.
@@ryanellis233 I would dearly love for you to be correct! This was the dream. But everything in the game is focused around the universe being brutal, and that is in turn being centered around PvP. The thing is, the majority seems to want that and that is what game companies deliver. Long gone are the times when games were the safe haven for neurodiverse. In the future there is only war. 😢
@@ryanellis233 It still will be open PvP. No matter the amount of security CIG tries to implements, a kamikaze will always be able to suicide ram or shot people for no reason even in the middle of the Sol system. That's what he measns.
Star Citizen, the game i truly want to enjoy, but can't because its a bug ridden mess and has probably THE worst performance I have ever seen for a game in my 26 years of life. The day they iron out the performance problems, is the day I play it for longer than an hour a month, since any longer makes me physically ill. For reference, r5 3600x overclocked, rtx 2070 super overclocked, 32gb ddr4 3600 ram, installed on a samsung 980 pro m.2 ssd, getting sub 30 fps on lowest graphics.
Nice for multi-player, bad for solo play , roberts said if your a solo player , play with friends , or massively multi-player, everyone is welcome . Not true now he waits till all solo players buy the 1500-3000 dollar ships then says you will have to have others to put out fires , repair stuff as you are battling other ships , ever played warframe the rail Jack's? No one wants to run around fixing stuff everyone's on guns . It's destined to fail , im at 30 grand into it . Wasn't even able to play 2 hrs during last free fly , just looking to get my cash back at this point . If I knew what a failure roberts was I would have never bought into it .

@@BR1ZZO It's good to be positive. But some are being downright naive if they believe we're anywhere near less than a decade away from even Beta... or capital ships. "we aim at 2 per year". Dev my dude, you said the same thing Verbatim in 2020. 3 years passed we've got... 0 capital. Gameplay loop? we got 2 in 4 years., Medical and now broken salvage. Of course, all magic beam. hull munching is not even in the card in our lifetime.
They are spending your money on Squadron 42. This was cool, but I hope you realize Squadron 42 and its money grab is the focus. The game we want has been in alpha for 10 years. Wake up.
