I did the same thing as a kid. Was riding a friend's bike at my school after hours. I close lined myself on the thin roped off area that they were building new playground equipment. School didn't believe me the next day when they saw the aggressive roap burn and called CPS. Had to walk them out and show them that i matched the height of the roped area

I had a friend who had the same thing happen on a jet ski with actual wire. Somehow he drove himself to the hospital and ended up with 200 stitches and was about 5 minutes from dying when he walked into the hospital from blood loss!

This guy is what keeps me here

I come from a biker family, my dad is still riding at least a scooter (he is 81), my brother and I have always had at least 4 bikes at every time between us two. My dad has had the most ridiculous accidents on bikes you can imagine. Once he was returning from fishing at night, on a scooter, which he has been using as his daily rider for getting around for years, he was riding down a gravely road, rode off said road into a ditch, front-flipped the scooter and as he had his fishing rods on his back, they just pitchforked themselves into the soft ground, him getting stuck upside-down, hand twisted in full gas position, the rear wheel spinning, the scooter revving (upside-down). Someone came to his rescue, the old man was just laughing his ass off as he couldn't unstuck himself. His most serious bike accident happened 13 years ago, he already was 68, riding along, when he noticed in the corner of his eye that a car is going to cross the road he was riding and did not see him at all. He said he just stood up in the foot pegs and at the moment the bike hit the drivers side of the car, just let go of his bike and hoped for the best. He got catapulted over the car, made a full front flip and landed on his feet (as described by a witness) on the other side unharmed. The guy jumped from the car, looked next to his door at the wrecked bike and panicked as the rider was nowhere to see. My dad ran up to hum, yelling like a madman, wanted to punch him, but at that moment he saw tears of relief in that guys eyes as he realised he did not kill someone. The only thing the car driver was able to say was thank god you are alive. Dad cooled down, the guy took him to hospital for examination, bought him a new bike, and even paid for a spa holiday. He was truly sorry and so happy he was not responsible for anyones death.

Chris is the story God if ever there was one! He is total proof, that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I love every one of his stories and most of the time, don't know if I should be laughing or simply in awe of his experiences. Thanks for sharing with us! You're the best!

As kid, my first real job was in a Garden Center. My boss was a little disfigured, with an obviously rebuilt nose. Turns out, he was riding his Triumph, and caught a chain across the road - neck high.. He barely survived...
