And then the Courier proceeded to teach the Legion the meaning of friendship, and they spread friendship across the land. They smothered the NCR with friendship, indoctrinated child soldiers into the ways of friendship. Friendship bracelets were placed on every slave, and soon, it was said that California itself burned in the fires of friendship.
Love how everyone in the room is saying “fair kill, fair kill, fair kill” but there’s the one guy who went with THE WEAK MUST DIE he must feel real awkward now
Only difference is that after using that iconic line the Courier actually kills Benny with 2 shots in the head. Fitting cause Benny was a loser with good plans that he executed terribly.
@@SkillZgetKillZ imagine failing twice that badly. Really makes "what in the goddamn" more genuine in a way. I still wish we could have recruited him a companion though, despite all that. Maybe it's Matthew Perry's charm
@@thatskeletordude5271 debunk debunk: lanius says both marks are on your face, meaning both must be entrance wounds (or if one is an exit wound, it must be one for a different bullet - either way benny shot twice). also, even if he didn't, the forecaster confirms the courier was shot twice
@@thatskeletordude5271a second debunk debunk, the doc still has to “pick all the bits o’ lead out”, meaning that the bullets *were still in there* and that somehow the courier was hard headed enough that his skull shattered both as they penetrated (also because Benny was using 9mm, of course the courier survived)
@thatskeletordude5271 Debunking your debunk If a bullet has enough energy to make an exit wound, the cavity is going to be far too big to have even a chance of survival. To quote Brandon Herrera "No... Head empty, brain on pavement"
There is another mod out there called "TGWRFTS - Take Benny's Gun" that adds a script to that scene that auto-equips Maria with at least one 9mm, but ALSO sets Benny's health to 1. That way you get one good shot in for effect instead of having him eat one with a simple "oof" Script aint perfect though getting that dialogue option to appear requires very specific choices in the dialog tree that don't seem 100% relevant, but still. It's a nice addition to the game that I agree should have been a base game outcome
@@GehennaGirls Well, it didn't kill the Courier on the second headshot, either, since Benny shot twice. I guess that's just their superior gun handling.
Benny: "Make it clean." Courier: *Shoots Benny with his own gun* Benny: *Survives the shot* "..." Courier: "..." Benny: ". . . Well, I can see how you survived back then.." Courier: "I guess the gun was the one rigged from the start?" Benny: "Come on baby, you don't talk about a man's gun like that!"
He died instantly when I used Joshua Graham’s pistol with hollow points. Anyway, I wished this option existed in the bass game. Would’ve been great. And contrary to what Caesar said, you can’t get the Praetorians to execute Benny. I suppose even the Courier wanted vengeance since there is no such option other than crucifixion.
I remember having to pickpocket the fun from him to kill him with it bc its challenge and I'm kinda a completionist so i try to do everything in games like fallout and Elder Scrolls
I wish he had a more sarcastic response to you saying that, like "wow you're so poetic using my line against me, just pull the trigger" or something Feels more like Benny to try and downplay this moment just to spite you
