I love how he gives it a 0 out of 10 but still says “If your in the Charlotte North Carolina area check this place out “ absolutely not sir 😂 you’ve shown us enough
He can’t slander their restaurant by telling people to don’t go because it’s bad, he can give them a bad review but so they can’t sue him for slander he tells the public to try it for ourselves.
I'd rather he say "don't go here," but I imagine he is trying to cover his ass in case one of these restaurants decides to sue for slander. That way he can say he recommended the place despite a 0/10
@@NickCageDrippp Right? Is that not crazy maybe it's cause he does it as a job but I was told looks are deceiving and I shouldn't judge off presentation. But sayin f*ck you to owner is insane I've never had food that bad 💀
@@EikottXD Or maybe the average person doesnt have enough money to take chances with shitty restaurants? Thats why yelp and reviews are a thing in the first place 😂💀
Queens is just gross. I went there a few years back to try them. Soon as I walked in I smelled vomit, got disgusted and walked out. I thought that maybe it was just a fluke and wanted to go back and give them another try. Thankfully I read the reviews, the reviews weren't just bad, people were DISGUSTED!
I used to live in Charlotte, this is the Queen Soul Food going towards Matthews? I didn't think the food was bad, but it's been a while since I've been there maybe things have changed.
They absolutely DO NOT have good food in Charlotte. I lived there for 6 years and went to EVERY restaurant recommended there, even some more than once because I believe in second chances and try to maybe think the restaurant may have just had a bad day during the particular visit. WRONG. Still the same garbage on subsequent visits. He hit the nail on the head on the Facebook post the other day..”Charlotte is only good for building office towers and apartments” That’s it!! 💯
Damn he said that? 😬 Also hate to hear that your food experience was horrible while you were living in Charlotte. ☹️ That honestly shocked me because the restaurants I’ve been able to try when I make it out there were all at least above average. 😮
Grew up in Mooresville NC which is 40 miles north of Charlotte. No one has EVER gone to that city for food. It was a banker's town, people went there to work or to go to the clubs at night and that is about it. I mean shit they had so little they had to even snagged the NasCar hall of fame from my home town over a decade ago now to give them something other than the speedway to be known for.
I live here my partner grew up here there's lots of good places. It's true you find these places that are just food out of a package with no real cooking but there's plenty of very good places to eat that are hole in the wall cheap.
That rib legit looks like the spare ribs I can get at my local Chinese food spot. I wonder if that place is rated high, makes you wonder how much some people settle for mid food.
@@seesherrillThere’s a soul food buffet in Harlem named Manna’s owned by a Vietnamese couple. They have Black dudes back their cooking. Food is fairly good. They got Africans up in there now, food is OK. Definitely better than this shyt at this Queens place. Looks like TV dinner soul food.
😂 My family got Got there 2 years ago. The heavens opened up and tried to warn us because it was raining the hardest I've seen in my life. Their power went out, but they were still serving food. I see nothing has changed. I wish I knew Chime, I would've told you don't do it. That place needs to shut the doors 🚪.
This is the thing, everybody think that they can cook but really can't, sometimes people have the money to invest in a restaurant but have no cooking skills they just own a restaurant plain and simple. Trust me I know I have been a Chef for 44 years and have seen them come and seen them go because they just happen to have money.
yeah, that's why if you want to open a restaurant you must have an executive chef have full control of the food if you don't know what you are doing. Hire good staff, and let them do what they do best. An owner of manager should really handle all the money and personnel management, not what they don't know.
I worked at a place with good chefs, good food and a good vibe. The owner ruined everything with his micromanaging and lack of care to basic restaurant needs. I had to rat him out to the health inspector because after months of all of asking for change, nothing happened.
Funny thing is you ain’t NEVER lie!!! I’m from Brooklyn and I haven’t found a good Soul Food place in NC either and I’ve been here 17 years now. I used to tell people here I can get better soul food in NY How about doing a review on the Smoke Pit in Salisbury. Keep doing your thing👊🏿
Yes, from NYC and lived in CLT for 13 years until I moved in 2016, never found a good soul food restaurant. And someone had the nerve to comment Merts is the best….smh!
Charlotte NC has the nastiest food I have ever eaten, bar none unless it is Latino/Hispanic. Even the chain restaurants are disgusting! This is where you go for your tastebuds to die.
Unfortunately, this is quite common around Charlotte. If a building looks fancy enough, the locals will eat it, even if it's roadkill. Really good southern food in Charlotte (even though it's a southern city) is rare. The upscale restaurants, some chain restaurants, seafood restaurants and non-American restaurants are your best bet. Otherwise, learn how to cook at home.
That food looked back. The sauce on the ribs looked like Chinese plum sauce. That cabbage, gravy, and the oxtails (tiger teeth). Dayum shocked they are still in business....
amen, my grandma was cooking food and good coffee cakes even in her 90s until she's couldn't anymore, that's when i started cooking the pumpkin pies for the holidays. real grandmas are not about to be serving no BS to the family :) they made great depression food with simple ingredients taste good, now the youth of today got Gordon Ramsey tutorials on RU-vid and mega marts for ingredients and still be messing it up lol @@leoqueen300
Bruuuuh that porkchop looked like it was ran over nd tossed on the plate😭😭😭them ribs them riiiibs I aint never seen rib meat like that🤣🤣🤣they boiled them nd put sauce on them mfz🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey Mr. ChimeTime. Please review the Double Turkey Burger w/cheese at Smashburger at 4400 Randolph road in Charlotte NC. I don't think you will be disappointed!
Metro Diner has some good food..fried chicken is seasoned and fried well. In Rock Hill, SC... .a place called KC's Little Kitchen on Saluda...fried fish, wings, collards and cornbread are really good, too!
NC just has terrible, overpriced food in general. There are some exceptional spots here and there of course, but in general there is just so much trash here. Every time I'm in another state, the food just seems way better. And cheaper!
Based on your reactions, I would for real be worried about getting sick after trying that food. You are a brave soul and thank you for the reviews! You are saving all of our stomachs.
Have you tried Cajun Queen in Charlotte? Everything on their menu is amazing..if you or anyone ever tried it out I recommend the fried salt and pepper catfish! Oreo cheesecake or bourbon Pecan Pie for dessert
NC has some good Soul Food Restaurants but life here is more Cultural and less Commercial. Families gather after Church, not at Church's Chicken. Grandma is cooking Greens, Fried Chicken, Mac n Cheese and making Desserts. Down here you got to get it how you live. ❤NC BBQ.
😂. Damn. As a chef and a foodie, I feel your pain bro. And as a Union electrician, I often travel for work. I like to stop at places and eat in the car. A good spots food will still be good in the car if eaten in a reasonable amount of time
If you ever find the time, try Augusta, GA, or Aiken, SC. You gotta know a guy that can get you to the right spots, tho. If you really want some soul food, you gotta go a little further down south.
For the owners I hope they watch this and find a way to not only reach out but change. Restaurant Brick and mortar are already difficult but Soul food and Caribbean spots are even more difficult because of the type of food has to be it only fresh but has SOOOO many components in each dish that can make or break your business. As well as if having any one of these things off Customers service Hygiene Consistency in employee and food And neighborhood and socia media presence. I pray they change things around. We need more soul food spots
Floyd’s has always been my favorite soul food place in Charlotte. They’re in graham if they are still open. Covid fucked a lot of good places up in Charlotte. They use to have 2 locations.. one on east side of Charlotte and the other was on graham st. Now they just have the location on graham st. You should try it out. Definitely would not be disappointed
It ain’t looking too good for Charlotte right now. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the brother THIS pissed. After paying for a plate like that though, I completely understand.
Should have tried the spot right next door. I’ve lived down street for 8years, never would I ever eat at Queen’s soul food( That’s owned by Asians) and only hire junkies. The spot right next door is a 100x better
