Do you have any quantifiable metrics you can share over the last three years, for example, actual change in VO2 Max, maximum wattage, 5-second or 20-second power, or anything else? I think the CAROL bike sounds intriguing, yet I've yet to see any studies or anecdotal accounts outside their own marketing that has anything specific. Also, can you comment on the algorithm? It seems like the entire utility of the bike is based on the reliability of the AI. A number of wearables often have questionable algorithms, and I'm hoping CAROL has one that is a bit more accurate.
Yeah, since starting with CAROL, I have improved my wattage from 1070 to 1604 and my VO2 max by 37%. I don't know about the intricacies of the algo but it's been working for me :)
@@MichaelKummer Wow, that's crazy!. That would be enough to take someone from the Poor VO2 Max rating to Superior. For example, a 30-39-year-old man with a 38.5 VO2 Max would improve to 55.485 (54 is superior), and a woman in the same age range with 34.4 would improve to 47.128 (47.4 is superior). I think most REHIT studies, including those cited by CAROL, found the average improvement was 12 percent. So, while you may be an outlier and I don't know how you're measuring your VO2 Max (lab, watch, or some other method), good for you.
@@capeflatterytrail I'm sure there is more to my improvements than the CAROL bike. My entire lifestyle is geared towards improving my performance and health.
The warranty is terrible, for 3k I’d expect lifetime warranty on at least the frame, not a 1 year. That’s the only thing holding me back from making this purchase.
Depends on the type of workout you do. The 2x20 seconds sprint doesn't burn a ton of calories (in comparison to a 30min workout on an air bike, let's say). If you do the 60 fat-burn sprints, it's a different story.
@@MichaelKummer I just started using my stationary bike agian been using it for a week now is it normal for weight to go up and down and not really drop weight Since yesterday im at a stable 160 which I wanna drop 20 to even out my thighs/face is to big for me/belly I have been using bike for 10 or 20min a day cause I get so tired in the legs I have cut back on eating to
@@cmoneytheman Exercise and burning calories are certainly a factor in losing weight but not the most important one. Check out michaelkummer.com/health/best-weight-loss-diets/
