I like Luke's sense of humour. His commentary is not bad. I like to hear him giving the history and long version of the house and about how things came to be....and you interrupt him so often! You are both very funny and entertaining.

Luke is every so helpful to you Julie with all of the "helpful" advice. And he kept a straight face as well. That stiff upper lip that the Americans claim the Brits have and all came into play. Do we get the blooper reel of this at some point? And ps, the Bath should be drained and cleaned before the pool. It would be interesting to see how deep it really it.

There is an additive I use in my pond that works like a probiotic and eats the algae while being safe for the tadpoles and frogs. I have no filtering system and the water is crystal clear.

@@MappertonLive That’s clean l still see Allergy build up! Plus l think pipe pumps water in should be cleaned and flushed out cause water green not clear water in normal pool also if way filter water it should be done and lastly it should be sand blasted then acid and chlorine wash!

Hey, Julie, try wading in w/Tevas w/straps. They won't fall off or get sucked in. Neoprene kayaking booties are another option. I'm a kayaker; the booties keep you warm and sludge free.

Hi Julie, I recently saw a program where the owners of a French château renovated what looked like a very similar structure to your Queen's bath-house, retaining walls and all. There wasn't much left of theirs and it was all overgrown and ruined, but the 'pool' was quite similar. It had previously been a laundry-washing place, where the household's bed linens etc could be cleaned away from prying eyes. Perhaps this was its C17th purpose (if the Queen didn't actually frolic there)? Lovely episode, thank you for sharing Mapperton 🌿

That’s immersion of a second and third kind dear, I think you’re a breath of fresh air who won’t let sunken sediments just lay forgotten 😆 There’s definately some cleaning up and repairs to do, but on the agenda now! If you look at the Chateau Love episode with Vivienne decorating the inside pool area, you will see a pool that you don't have to clean. That is after you get the "expensive" but disgusting mud out. They use oxygenated water which is very healthy to drink and swim in. The apparatus is quite small. You'll just have to take the leaves and sticks out. Love your videos.

Hi Julie! I have a helpful tip! If you get stung by nettle, take a bunch of soft fern in your hands and rub it really hard in your hands until it's pulverized and rub the ground up fern on the sting. Takes away the pain! I learned this from my husband. We were hiking up a mountain in Washington State where he's from. I stumbled and grabbed the closest thing to me to keep from falling backward...Stinging Nettle! I didn't know what it was. I told him about 10 minutes later my hand was stinging really bad for some reason. He reached down grabbed a fern and told me to do what I just informed you of. He saved the day, and our hike! Cheers!
