Good guess right out the gate about our new character. Bee, short for Beelzebub, is the ruler of the gluttony ring hence how she could create and enhance food on a whim. When it comes to the demon princes we've seen so far, Bee's easily the most chill and funniest we've gotten so far. Really nice change of pace from all the stuck-up royals in the series. Girl's not even the slightest bit ashamed to be open with dating essentially a lower-rank demon. Kesha being the voice of Bee brings Vivi's full circle on RU-vid, for not only has she expressed wanting to work with Kesha, but one of her most significant breakthroughs on RU-vid before Hazbin Hotel was an AMV to Kesha song Die Young. There's actually nodded to that video in Cotton Candy. You see the AMV feature one of Vivi's original characters from her now-canceled webcomic Zoophobia named Jayjay (a blue anthropomorphic wolf) doing the singing, and in Cotten Candy the lights dim giving Bee a blueish look to her as a reference to said character. Lastly, yes, the episode was delayed because of Kesha, or more how Kesha was in a legal battle with her former producer/record label at the time. Hell, despite writing the song, they couldn't have her sing Cotten Candy because of said label. Massive props by-the-way to Rchelle Diamante for being able to replicate Kesha's singing, as I didn't notice it wasn't Kasha until reading the credits.

I really like that Bee turned out to just be a carefree party girl. No mean spirited stuff going on with her till Loona kinda pushed her. She just wanted her to check on Blitz, hope they can end up as friends at some point

11:36 yup! Bee’s one of the 7 sins! She’s on par (class-wise) with Asmodeus, the Sin of Lust that was in the episode chronologically prior to this one! Moxxie even alluded to her in his love song to Millie in that episode, when he sang, “more than Bee-lze loves her bub”. So Medrano’s original intention was to reveal 2 of the Sins back-to-back in the two part Season 1 finale, before running into copyright issues. And as you figured out, this means that Blitzø was on the couch reeling from the encounter he had with Fizzaroli & Asmodeus, when he went to Ozzie’s sex club with Stolas. Poor guy just woke up from his cry at the end of that episode, when he looked at his photo album 😢, yet he still pulled through and IMMEDIATELY went to pick up Loona, to make sure she was okay. And then we have the parallel at the end of the episode, when it’s Loona’s turn to make sure he’s okay.

So from what I understand, Kesha was having some legal beef with her producer. As you saw, Kesha helped write the song for this episode, and due to legal nonsense her producer she was beefing with had a right to it, so that's where the copyright issues came from. We finally got it, which is fantastic, obviously. So Queen Bee is Beelzebub. She is the Demon Princess of Gluttony, hence calling herself "The queen bee of gluttony". So Tex is hitting one of the most POWERFUL beings in all of hell! WOW! And she is OPEN about their relationship, she's not hiding it at all. So yeah, she can do all that crazy magic and alter her size because she's one of the 7 sins. She mentions Belphegor, or Bel, another of the 7 sins who is now confirmed both female and having a stash of party drugs, apparently. She also mentions Satan, who is NOT Lucifer, IE Charlie's dad. Lucifer and Satan are 2 characters. But apparently Satan looks hot without a shirt on. So to analyze where Loona's at in this episode. She's not really got any friends, so Tex invited her to this party in order to get her socializing. However, SHE likes HIM, and she was likely hoping she could impress him and steal him from his current girlfriend, or gauge their relationship and see if it was doomed to fail and she could slip in. Something to that effect, she wanted to scope out Tex's relationship. As soon as she finds out he's dating a DEMON LORD, she immediately deflates. At this party she feels like the OTHER. She's alone, the first person she tries to talk to humiliates her, and then she finds out the guy she likes is TRULY out of her reach. She refuses to drink BECAUSE of that picture, if she drinks she'll just humiliate herself again. She feels alone, stupid and out of place, so she goes outside, cries over her one sided affection, and calls Blitzo to pick her up. Now when Blitzo arrives, she sees people know HIM. Blitzo garners some attention, and that attracts other eyes to Loona, so when another cute hellhound flirts with her a bit, she wants Blitzo to come to the party with her. Through him she doesn't feel alone, she actually socializes and just before she leaves the party to drive Blitzo home, she appears to have made some connections, waving goodbye to several potential friends, including the hound that encouraged her not to leave in the first place. With Bltizo's help she gave the party another try and it turned out a lot better. This episode REALLY puts Loona's speech to Octavia in episode two of season two about dads into a better perspective.

Tex on the Beach: “Come on girl, let’s get you some friends!…” end of this episode: she’s literally waving to new friends as she leaves, after making several scenes and arguing with the party host who could just be her new best friend if she tries…. “Mission Failed, Successfully!”😂😂😂😂😂

Every reactor of this episode I've seen so far has gotten the reference to Mean Girls with the phrase "fetch", but if there's one person I know who can break that streak is has to be this moon-duck-man. 2:57 did not disappoint. Happy Birthday.

This episode was created as a celebration of VivziePop's journey. She had characters sketched out since high school that would come to life in her webcomic, Zoophobia, with others being later developed for Hazbin and even later Helluva. However what put her on the map was her first foyer into animation, a music video for Ke$ha's "Die Young" featuring characters from Zoophobia, most notably JahyJahy. After that success she began the years long process of gathering people together to bring to life Hazbin Hotel. During production of Hazbin's future drafts she decided to take a group of characters out of Hazbin to spin-off into a show that could be worked on while Hazbin was shopped around. And so Blitzø, Moxie and Stolas with Millie and Loona being created to star in Helluva Boss, where we could get to experience the 6 other rings of Hell outside of Pride. But one person Viv wanted to get onboard since the beginning was Kesha herself. And once she did, she knew she wanted to end her first Season as a tribute to her start; a then vs now tribute to her Die Young video, showing off the difference in talent, doing everything that first music video did but bigger and better.

12:01 I’ve shared this comment on other reactions to this episode, so I’ll share it here too. Beelzebub’s reaction here is one of-not disgust with Blitzø, but-concern. As she goes on to say in like the next scene, she can get a good read on her guests and their energy at her parties. So her reaction here tells me she immediately picked up on how Blitzø was NOT okay, to down that much so quickly. She plays off her concern, saying how she was bested for the first time in awhile, but once the crowd carry away a now tipsy Blitzy, she gives Tex a look of, “yeah he’s not doing so hot, we should tell Loona asap.” Considering how much Asmodeus & Fizzaroli ripped Blitzø and Stolas a new one just a few hours prior at the sex club, it’s really interesting and bittersweet to see not all of the ring rulers are like that, and that at least one took the time to check in with their crowd. And given how much Blitzø had to vent to Loona at the end, Bee made the right call, not just kicking them to the door, but communicating to Loona that something wasn’t right.

Loona likely suffers from some form of social anxiety. It was hard for her to try and insert herself into an established friend group and she largely just talked to Tex. She seemed to be a bit intimidated by Bee as well, even before she turned giant. To be honest I'm not to different. At parties I typically stand off to the side until someone else talks to me. I don't even drink. Things changed when Blitzo showed up. It gave her an in with a pre built social group and she could ride his coattails while she gets more comfortable with the people. The first time she called him "Dad" was when a connection to him benefited her. Up until now she was always quick to point out she was adopted. This was before her talk with Octavia.

12:20 "What is she based off?" I believe Queen Bee-lzebub (or Beelzebub the Princess of Gluttony & the ruler of the Gluttony Ring) is a Fox-Fly Hybrid (with some Queen Bee sprinkles added in). The fox part is a nod to a old music video Viv did (based on one of her old works) which had a Kesha song in it (the lead character was a blue fox) plus she being the Ruler of the Gluttony Ring the Fox is also a nod to Hellhounds being native to the Gluttony Ring. The fly part is based on the name Beelzebub which means "Lord of the flies" a insult to those who worshipped Bael (who is funny enough is a King in the Ars Goetia like Asmodeus the Prince of Lust & Paimon Stolas's father. This could mean Bee & Stolas could be related in some way). Its hard to spot at first but she has 2 wings like a Fly & not 4 like a Bee & flies have 6 legs (Bee has 4 arms + 2 legs = 6 limbs). Houseflies also use the hairs on their bodies to taste and to smell (just looked that up) so her ability to "taste the mood of her guests" is likely due to her being part fly. As for the Bee part, mainly its the honey looking hair, she's yellow & has some red strips (a nod to bee's) & that she uses her party guests like her worker bee's to keep making her honey. Its a unique & a cool way to show Gluttony in a new light as a Party Girl encouraging her guests to be Gluttonus, rather then a big fat guy. Sidenote: You made a comment about Angel-Dust & Bee both having 4 arms, a theory I heard is that the Earth-Born Sinners have elements of one of the sins added into their desgin. Angel Dust said himself he overdosed on drugs (or Overindulgence in drugs aka Gluttony). This theory isn't proven, but its a cool idea.

The Hellhound that hits on Loona when Blitz is picking her up is named Pinklie Winkurlton III. Not even joking, that's his name. The reason for his name is no joking matter. Apparently some Twitter user made a big fuss about background or one off characters getting names (like muffy the nurse). It got so out of hand that Viv made the name up and blocked the user, basically forced to name said Hellhound. It was basically a "I'm done" moment.

I KNEW Kirby was gonna love Beelzebub and the song, lol. Loved the reactions to her VA from you both, lol. Btw, as someone else stated I believe, Bee's VA is Kesha, but the one who sang the song was an impersonator named Rochelle Diamante. Kesha was wrapped up in a legal battle with her former producer/label, so couldn't sing even though she wrote the song (with someone else). Can't believe how full circle we've come. Viv's career popped because of an AMV she did to Kesha's Die Young, now she has Kesha voicing one of the sins in her show lol. Queen Bee-lzebub is indeed the sin of Gluttony, she says so right before the song starts.

Yep she's one of the 7 Deadly Sins, Beelzebub the Princess of Gluttony and she name drops Belfagor the (I'm assuming) Princess of Sloth. Bee feeds off emotions and like a bee with nectar makes her honey from it too, that honey being Beezlejuice the to alcohol in hell, which as we saw in Spring Broken also mutates earth wildlife into hell beasts. We can get she feeds emotional energy as she mentioned "delicious energy" and '"tasting moods", that also explains her party girl life style. She feels the emotions of others so strives to surround her self in emotions that make her feel good. She has greater empathy than other demons because of it too, so she's much more open to the "lower classes" as she can easily make them happy. Also she further shows the hypocrisy of Hell for shaming Stolas fpr sleeping with an Imp, She is dating a Hellhound, hell's lowest social class. Kesha appearing is kind of symbolic too, Viv's first RU-vid was an Animated Music video for Kesha's Die Young. Now Kesha has done 2 Songs for Hellva Boss!

The reason why it was delayed is Kesha's producer wanted to own the rights to Cotton Candy since she wrote it. That's why she doesn't also preform it. He wanted Spindle-Horse to pay royalties to have the song and that wasn't in the budget. Kesha fought her producer in court and won literally 2-days before it aired. As part of the agreement she's not supposed to be @'d on twitter about it. Since this caused a bit of trouble for both Spindle-Horse and Kesha herself. Because her producer or former producer is a prick.

Someone probably explained it but for clarification about Queen Bee's character. She's supposed to be "Gluttony". She wants people to over indulge themselves at her party and have a good time. It was one of the reasons why she was making everyone's food/drinks bigger. And apparently a byproduct of everyone having a good time at her parties is her honey or "Beelzejuice" which is the stuff her and Blitz were chugging. But, Bee also said it herself that she could "taste" the energy people give off at her parties. It's like a drug for her. The more people having fun at her parties, the more of a high it is for her. So, she wants people to overdo it for fun. But Blitz wasn't drinking to have a good time. He was drinking because deep down he was hurting after the confrontation he and Stolas had with Fizz and Asmodeus. Bee could pick up on Blitz's vibe that he was basically drinking himself stupid for self-destructive purposes, not just to have fun. That's why she gave Vortex that worried look after Blitz had beaten her challenge and it was ultimately why she told Loona that maybe she needed to check up Blitz to make sure he was doing okay because she could essentially "taste" that he wasn't doing okay.

Kesha does voice Bee-lzebub, but she did not sing the song in this episode (although she is one of the two writers of the song). I believe her label has exclusive rights to her singing, and they would have of had to pay royalties (and I'm sure negotiations were a big part of why the episode got delayed). The singer they got, Rochelle Diamante, released a song called "Queen Bee" 10 years ago, which is also the title of the episode. She's an excellent singer and song writer.

Yep! Bee is one of the Seven. Played by the one and only Ke$ha, Bee (A.K.A. Queen Bee-lzebub) is the ruler of the Ring of Gluttony. Fun fact, she feeds on the fun party energy of those attending her parties, hence why she said she was "High on all this tasty energy" and can "taste the flavor of those at her parties". Surprisingly though, she is by far the nicest of the Seven we've seen so far, trying to make Loona feel welcome, showing concern for Blitzø getting wasted off his ass, etc.

Was it worth the wait? Hell yeah it was! Really enjoyed this episode so happy that we finally got a Loona focused episode her calling blitzo dad twice was so heartwarming and Loona looking after her dad at the end of the episode was just wholesome

From the hearsay I’ve heard through other comments, they ran into copyright issues because Kesha’s producer owns everything she does and they were in a nasty legal battle. They tried replacing Kesha’s as the singer of Cotten Candy to drop the performance copyright but since she co-wrote the song there was still the composition copyright and they were worried about potential claims. (I heard they even re-animated the song.) Rather than modify anything else or drop it, they just put it on hold hoping the legal battle would be over soon. The episode has long since been ready for release, over a year. A few days before the release, when they were close to going to court, they settled. Now here we are. On a related note, Rochelle Diamante had a fantastic performance.

Yes, Keshia voiced the character, but because of her label, not her both the die young animation and her singing in this video wasn't allowed, so someone else had to sing it. Also, bee's character design is a bee fox and a call back to queen, aka Keshia Rose from zoophobia, a fan character design as a tribute to Kisha. Also, bee is the sin of gluttony so she all about the vibes of her party's because that what makes the honey you see her flying through in her song also she was concerned about blitz after the drinking game

When I first watched the episode, I had no idea that Kesha was the VA for Bee, and had no idea she wrote the song. But at 4:36 when she said "Take you down" and the music dropped, I realized it was VERY reminiscent of Kesha's stuff from the 2010's era. For now, I'm just super happy we have a ruler of hell who actually seems like a decent person without any ulterior motives. Sure she feeds off the good energy of her parties, so she keeps people drunk, but at the same time, she does genuinely care about the patrons.

Man I was so excited about this! from the very minute the clip of Loona and Blitzo aired last year, it was too cute the way Loona said 'Pleeeease!" She's adorable. And even sweeter how she treated Blitzo in this episode!😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰

Rochelle Diamante was actually the one doing Bee's singing. Kesha did her speaking lines. Still Rochelle did a good enough impression that it's hard to tell. Yes, Kesha is the reason why this episode was delayed so long. She was in a legal battle with her former producer that lasted longer than they expected. Rochelle may of been brought in to add a decree of separation between Kesha and the show, but the main issue is that Kesha helped write the song, so they couldn't simply get a new voice actor and air it a year ago. The case was finally settled a few days before this episode dropped.

From my understanding she´s supposed to look like a Jackal, they are opportunistic feeders eating fast and all they can find, so they have a reputation as gluttons. And the rest of her appearance is obviously based on a wordplay of her name "Beelzebub" and the fact that she reigns over one of the Rings, making her "Queen Bee" Beelzebub is also known as Lord of the Flies, so it´s all relatively cohesive, but also creative i personally love it.

Beelzebub is a fox-bee hybrid. She might have started off as a full on bee or fly, like some of Beelzebub's original depictions in demonology, but, clearly, with hell hounds being her constituents, she became more fox-like, which is fitting because hounds are traditionally used for hunting, and foxes were often a big target for trappers. Considering she's hell's prince of gluttony, her being a fox means that she represents what her people desire.

I like to mention this fact & theory I heard since I've seen another RU-vidr do so whenever I watch others react to the new vid. But at the end of you notice every picture with Blitzø's face has it scrawled out in black likely by himself as he doesn't like himself thinking that he deserves them. Also sheesh does no-one read the comments before they post as there are a crap ton of the same comments going of the same things in similar ways over & over. 🤣

From what I’ve heard the seven sins/rulers of the rings in hell are supposed to represent one circus act each with Lucifer being the ring leader. Bee-lzebub is a tamer, during her song she flies through rings and is surrounded by hell hounds.

The “copyright” was due to a legal battle between Kesha and her producer trying to dictate when and what she can sing. She was allowed to voice act for Queen Bee and write the song “Cotton Candy” but her record label cited her contract with them stating she couldn’t sing the song unless they made money off it so they took the time to find a “voice double” for the singing parts, which was made easier by all the auto tune used in all her previous songs.

Queen Bee is one of the 7 Deadly Sins from Hell, you can tell by the titles if you see just a number and no characters it is what we call a "Deadly Sin Episode". Kesha was in a legal battle with Luke (ex-producer) for 10 years to get the rights back of all her songs. Viziepop had to wait for the problems to end before releasing it. Kesha didn't sing "Cotton Candy", which was the issue, so Rochelle Diamante sang it with a Kesha impression to get by.

And for the record (cause I know someone will ask): Bee-lzebub is among the top in terms of power. As mentioned in my other comment, her status and power rivals the other Deadly Sins, only being surpassed by the Morningstars, Lucifer and Charlie as Fallen Angels and Lilith. Meaning Bee-lzebub is stronger than Alastor, Stolas, Stolas' father Paimon, etc. So it's a good thing that she seems neutral to Blitzø and Loona, making her a potential ally, as opposed to the growing number of enemies IMP is making: the Satanist murder family, Fizzaroli, Mammon, Verosika, the Cherubs, DHORKS, Striker, Stella, Asmodeus, CrimZen and his mafia, and Andrealphus are people with bones to pick with IMP.

It was written by Kesha but it was NOT PERFORMED by Kesha. This episode was released right after she finally got away from her record label.

I was so excited for Kirby to find out it was Kesha. The anticipation was killing me. So worth the wait.

This was my favorite episode so far. BTW Kesha voiced the queen bee voice but another singer actually sang the song. That was the compromise to get it aired was that Kesha didn't sing the song.

The episode came out so late because of some trouble with Kesha's record company. They had all the rights to Kesha's sung songs, so the episode had to be re-sung by a different singer. But at least Kesha speaks Bee. The episode takes place in the ring of gluttony of which Bee (Beelzebub) is the ruler. Her song also symbolizes her sin of gluttony. "What you want, not what you need". Eat and drink for fun, not to fill you up.

Fun fact the guy who talked to Blitzo and asked him to party is a teans-male, you can tell by the horns and the girl he was sitting next to at the "orgy" is trans-female. Male imps have half white half black stripes, female imps have black with thin white horns.

I hope Kirby has more fan girl Bi panic moments, lmao! Man, I hope you guys are having a great Summer in July.

Jeez this episode was a LOT. I don’t think I need to gush about Beelzebub being Kesha. I think people got me covered there. I was also incredibly impressed. Viv gets some NAMES in this show. I still standby that while Blitz has abandonment issues he more shows the not wanting to be let go from those he holds closest and simps by doing everything and beyond to be as involved as he can in their lives. From M&M to Loona. But this one REALLY brought out the other side of that of not wanting other new people in his life. Or more to the point scared of bringing them in only to walk away. So he does it 1st. There’s the whole package we’ve been missing. I WOULD like to analyze further but parties are a BIT foreign to me so I’ll just say “mood” to Loona having no idea what to do at it. Also there is talk of Beelzebub being an empath. And I’ll just say I’m not sold on that. While she is REALLY “sweet” this episode. I feel like there’s something brewing. She is a sin princess after all. And I did notice that her signature is somewhere in Loona’s adoption. Sooooo she might be connected to the place that was essentially a dirty dog pound and Loona was in the middle of it. And it’s PRETTY hard for Empaths to be two faced. And there is a non zero chance Beelzebub is. And depending on if we see her again dictates that conclusion. Empaths are hard to come by so other than her being an experienced social butterfly and her liking the vibes of the place (and Blitz’s effect on said vibes) there’s not much to go off on. So I’m going to say no for now. But I could be proven wrong down the line.
