Thomas Sowell deserves the Presidential Medal of Freedom!

Thomas Sowell expletives: my gosh! good heavens! How refreshing to hear some eloquently express himself. This reflects his dealing in facts and logic rather than self-aggrandizing emotion.

Quoting from Larry Elder in a recent biography released by Jason Riley, Dr. "Thomas Sowell is the greatest philosopher in our generation." I have been a a disciple of the University of Chicago economics theories of Dr. Sowell and Dr. Milton Friedman for over 30 years, and had never considered Thomas Sowell a philosopher - but once again Larry Elder is 100% correct. Obviously for the critics, I ascribe to the free market economics model first defined in Adam Smith's "The Wealth of Nations." Dr. Sowell is not only one of the three greatest economists in our generation (Friedman, Sowell, Walter Williams), but in terms of important philosophers in the past 50 years, there is no American more accomplished in terms of written philosophy (quality books, quality articles) and more important, no great intellectual who speaks with more wisdom and who speaks to the common man and woman in language understood than Dr. Sowell. Victor Davis Hanson comes to mind, but he is mere mortal in comparison with Thomas Sowell. I strongly recommend Jason Riley's book and video "Maverick: A Biography of Thomas Sowell." Sowell is one of the greatest Americans in a history full of greatness, and should have a 50 ft statue in Chicago built and dedicated to his absolutely superb lifetime of accomplishments. Any American confused by the very poor Keynesian or marxist/democratic socialist economics models should listen to Sowell. His every word speaks of a common sense not so common, and lessons learned that aren't.

He has so much common sense and truth! Love him!

In one of Sowell's books he talks about the "Aha! moment" that the anointed will have when they find a statistic that they can use toward their ends. For me, reading his books is full of "Of course!" moments.

At age 52 now, it stings to reflect back on my years in public school, and come up with anything useful or relevant they taught me, other than English and Music thank God. Wish I still had my class schedules from age 6 -17. Learned about the Revolutionary war in 4th grade, but I have zero recollection of classes on world wars I and II. I know it's waaaaaaay worse now, though. Tucker had a great interview with Richard Dreyfuss (civics in school)I worth a watch. God bless Dr. Sowell.

Dr. Sowell is one of the deepest thinkers of our age. I do not understand why African Americans look up to Dr. Sowell as someone to emulate. Dr. Sowell deserves the Medal of Freedom. Such a great man. I wish every black man becomes like Dr. Sowell. If they did they would. they would be far and away ahead of everyone else and lift everyone else up. We always believed that if others do better everyone else does better. Dr. Sowell is an intellectual giant of our age. Unlike many, he knows himself. We do not care which race does better as long we can be better of later.

As someone who was born and raised into the liberal left, and only snapped out of it midway through 2020 when I realized the left seemed to have gone utterly mad, I have mixed feelings on this. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Dr. Thomas Sowell. His works, along with those of Dr. Jordan Peterson, were a major part in helping me find my footing again and develop a more balanced view of the world. But the part of me that grew up during the late 90’s/early 2000’s in a very, *very* left-leaning household grimaces in mild disgust every time Roger Ailes starts talking.

We should start a petition to put him on Mount Rushmore, president or not, it's time to break the mold.

Love Sowell, but the "anointed," or as he calls them in his book, *_A Conflict of Visions,_* those with the "unconstrained" vision of the world, started far, far earlier in dismantling the American experiment. Even Thomas Jefferson, in Washington's cabinet, betrayed America by pushing Jacobin-like policies. Jefferson regained his sanity, later. The 10th Amendment prohibition against a huge federal government was entirely ignored with the creation of the Department of the Interior during the 1840s. "Federal lands" in the various sovereign states was oxymoronic and illegal, but the federal government did it anyway.

ailes is irritating...he's impatient....he wants to ask the questions and then get his version of a comment out there in response to his own question.....he needs to be more patient and linear and give sowell a chance to make his points and give a complete answer that hangs together......he's not really bullying sowell but ailes is used to being in charge and getting quick answers to everything that don't waste his time.....he's a lousy interviewer and prefers to be the interviewee
