Very correct. A problem which must be discussed more. Women have better marks than men. Government/Companies are supporting ladies more. But sometimes the problem is on the mindset of ladies and nonsensical mindset of men. With more women workforce our country will get more wealthy (GDP).
My maternal grandmother was very vocal about this. She used to tell me that a women should not be totally dependent on husband. Even though she was uneducated she felt the importance of women empowerment.
@@pushparao4819 you are right about understanding the importance of education and career because there being a lack of opportunities for them. But my grandmother got married at a much later age and she studied till elementary. She was self employed as well. She was a weaver which is pretty common in NE India. She was not dependent on her husband and so could make a lot of independent decisions about kids. That was why she realised the importance of this. But other females in the family didn't support this.
It's a relief to see you standing up to those outdated beliefs. My parents, both doctors, always encouraged me to excel in school. When I turned 20, I decided to pursue a PhD. But some people asked, "Tu kya padhti hi rahegi, shaadi nahi karni?" Thankfully, my dad helped me realize that education is important and marriage can wait. But my own relatives were critical. They wanted me to be more traditional, like wearing sarees and being a great cook, even though I wasn't interested. I cooked basic meals in my hostel room and thought that was good enough for me. After finishing my PhD and entering the marriage scene, I realized how tough the real world can be. I thought people would be impressed with my PhD, but many were scared off by it. Some thought professors don't make much money, so they didn't care about my income. Even though I was proud of studying at an IIT, it didn't seem to matter much when looking for a partner. People still thought it was more important for the man to have a good job. Some even rejected me because I was younger and more educated than their son. It was devastating, but now I'm thankful it happened. Teaching and research are my passions, and being in the classroom is the best part of my life. But it's tough for educated women because people often say hurtful things about our jobs. I still remember one of my seniors to leave her PhD because of the pressure from her in-laws but before leaving, she inspired me to complete mine. According to me, it is a big part of society that thinks that an educated lady can't take proper care of her families or kids. It hurts me. Because I prioritize my career over rushing into marriage and having kids, some people criticize me for delaying those things. In my own family, I've seen that women who don't work are more likely to get divorced. To cite, I have seen 4 such broken marriages. On the other hand, all my friends who are working are doing well. I also realize that people say hurtful things to us because of their own insecurities. One of my relatives who was not working wanted a nolakha haar from her husband. I feel that if she would have been earning, she wouldn't need that piece of jewel or even if she needed, she would know how hard would it be to earn that much. Our society really needs to change its thinking. I'm lucky to have married a friend who supports me in everything I do. He even says he'd be happy to stay home and take care of things so I can focus on my career. Even my in-laws value me for the income I bring home. My mother-in-law takes special care of me and brings me dry fruits while saying lovingly, "Beta, tumhara dimaag ka kaam hai na?" Although my husband doesn't accept this compliment, I feel fortunate to be married into a family like his. They truly believe in the power of women. From my 32 years of experience in India, I feel that such families are rare here. To be honest, as an educated earning female, it is a struggle to earn the approval of the society to be unapologetically myself. When my relatives call me, they don't ask me about my job, they ask me when will I give birth to a Devta. Who tells them that my kids will be devtaas, she can be devi, or even chandi maai and I will love her from the core of my heart.

Now it has been 12 yrs since I got married and I did open coaching centre because job was not practical because my husband was working in different shifts every week. But I had to shift to other town when my husband changed his job. At new location landlord never allowed me to do coaching moreover it's small town but I don't sit idle I do everything on my own plus do online counselling too😊.

Sir, with due respect to this thought provoking information, one thing which can be added to this that while women start doing work, they need support in the household chores which is not limited to cleaning and food. Then it would make more sense. Just to mention, I am a working women in IT industry. Thanks for all the time you are taking to create this content.

Sir you are a true social reformer.I have recently started watching your videos.Being a working women i developed an inferiority complex that i am not giving enough time to my kid by neighbourer ladies and sometimes I realised that i am working in heat,cold and even in corona and every women around me is enjoying their life.But your videos have given a new meaning to my life.Now i am trying to do some side hustle along with my job and my son is far better in behaviour and academics than others.Thanks for making me feel proud on me because every person around us celebrates the homemakers
Netflix and Korean serials have replaced Ekta Kapoor serials and are more damaging home energy. Ladies are glued to Korean serials for 5 to 6 hrs in a day, making them couch potato and get irritated quickly

if you are working and not contributing to family, they will obviously ask you to stop, if a men earns and not provides for family will you accept, similarly go earn and contribute to family and growth of family then lets see which inlaw is stopping.

Women work only for their wolet and that can creat unrest with husband. I don't support women to work. Wife should manage the house, it is nota small responsibility. Those women who go to work out side, how their home remain a sweet home ? Children don't get care. Whole family remains disturbed for every thing required for living. Living in the West where we get no help for housework, working more than full-time while managing all the housework, highly educated, and with my husband, I have raised a well-educated and very hardworking confident kid. Guess what the family members living in India judge me for? The quality of my housework! After my husband, you are probably the wisest person I have encountered.

He earns very well but he hardly gives some amount to me, like 1/10 bhi nahi, unki pocket mein se Lena mujhe acha nahi lagta, kaam wo mujhe karne nahi dete, main kya karoon. I chanced upon your video 'by chance' and have since then watched quite a few more back to back. I have been married for almost 3 decades. Personally speaking I think I was ahead of my times in my views on life. What you are advising this generation was what I thought then. I was working before I got married in a very reputed multi-national. After delivery I was forced to give up all in the name of womenhood - motherhood - sacrifice. As you have correctly mentioned in your various videos, I bacame bitter...irritable....unhappy which led to a very toxic atmosphere in my house because I never wanted to lead a life of a housewife or a homemaker. Once my children reached grade 10, I started taking up small assignments from family and friends (like doing some content writing for their social media accounts to Business Development and communication for some startups) and did it pro-bono just to keep my mind occupied. Now after a gap of 25 years I am working full time for an IT company and earning my 'pocket money'. It is very important to keep your mind occupied constructively as empty mind being a devil's workshop keeps dwelling on the past and does not let you to let go of things. As a human it does sadden me at times when I see my colleagues reach the level of department heads and I am working as a junior under a manager who is half my age!!

Promise her that you will help her in remaining house work when she will come back from work. If she will go straight to kitchen after coming from work, and you will chill on sofa with tea and food, then she is not stupid to take additional work in her life.
