I've seen a guy who was doing just that, flip his bike and land in cactus. ooooof giving me anxiety just watching lol. And, that 4K video quality is awesome!
And yet the bike your heart is aching for does exist based upon exactly the same 1700 Cc V-twin: The Yamaha MT-01, you know, the bike you Americans could not have since Yamaha USA decided not to import this bike for you guys... So the MT-01; what kind of bike is that, well At Yamaha in Japan they stripped a 2005 Yamaha R1: all fairings came off and they took out the 4 cylinder R1 engine and they placed a Road Warrior 1700 Cc engine into the R1 Frame....made it all fit very well and so The Yamaha Frankenstein MT-01 was born. Since the bike is based up on a Yamaha R1 Frame with the Yamaha R1 front fork/brakes and the Yamaha R1 rear fork/brakes, this bike rides like a dream, also when the corners are hit, after all this is a Yamaha 1700 Cc V-tiwn R1. So basically the MT-01 (Master of Torque number 1) is no, I repeat, no cruiser, but a naked bike based up on a Naked Yamaha R1 frame/ undercarriage. Luckily, no one got hurt. But the way most of you are riding, is exactly why I and lots of people don't want to do group rides. Taking your corners too fast/out of your lane and you are all following too close. If someone goes down, the first two bikes behind are going to have a very hard time avoiding the crash. Looks like a fun road, but I and many people like me would never be participating in a dangerous group ride like that.
you guys really need to work on your line choice. if you would go slower, you could actually ride the bend instead of cutting it. 1:31 if a truck comes around the corner his helmet is going to kiss a bumper. in the next corner you can see that because danny cuts the first corner, he comes in really wrong for the second one and has to go wide on the center line. Again in a terrible position for a lefthand corner where he cant even see behind. im not trying to bash you guys. i think its an unnecessary risk and it just might be to fast for you guys at the moment. :) (sry for bad english) wear your gear!
I was on this ride. Casually 2up in a group of geared up riders who didn’t look strained with the pace in the slightest. My girlfriend, who is in her second riding season and hasn’t been to the track yet was in front of me for a while on her 790 and looked clean and comfortable as well. One guy riding squiddy at the limit of his bike makes for an entertaining video. We all talked to him. His choice. Come show us all what’s up. You may be surprised what you find 😉
