Never watched the original show, was born a bit too late for that. But the recent "Roar" desaster awakened my curiousity and made me watch the 2011 show. And I fell in love in it. Sad that this show was canceled.

That’s a ton of info! I’m glad I got hear about this! Bengali being the son of Tygra and Cheetara wasn’t that surprising. But Lion-O ending up with WilyKit and Tygra getting killed? Those were definitely shocking! I guess Lion-O didn’t age while he was inside the book. Also sad that Pumyra never got redeemed, but instead died as a vengeful monster.

WE NEED TO MOBOLISE AND GET THIS ON NETFLIX. This should of been renewed not Thundercats Roar as an alternative.

I really liked this show. I saw both the remake and the original. I wish their was a season 2. This thundercats series deserved a season 2. It was a really good series it’s a shame how it got cancelled

i really do miss this show, it had a good story to tell and the characters was amazing and well flushed out, its a damn shame it got treated just like the sym-bionic titan, but who knows, maybe it gets revived someday

Thank you for letting us know how season 2 would've turned out. I felt bad for Lion-O when he didn't win the heart of Cheetara or Pumyra. But now I'm relieved hearing that Lion-O would get Wilykit as his queen and won't be dying alone.

It seems like they planned to end it with season 2. Why not let them have that last season? I don't mind a series only getting 2, or three seasons so long as it gets a proper ending like Transformers Prime did with it's three seasons.

I love The Original Thundercats and I loved The Reboot too! I wish CN didn't Cancel it so quickly. I especially loved The way they Presented Mumm-Ra and The Way They Presented Tygra. Also Check out The Original Series! It's Great!

I just finished the first season of Thundercats 2011 on Hulu. I loved it! I wanted more of the show but didn’t have no idea this show was remade back in 2011. Due to the pandemic, I was lucky enough to watch all 26 episodes! They knocked it out of the park! I felt like a kid again screaming THUNDA............ THUNDA........THUNDERCATS...HOOOOOO! Lol! This show deserves a good 5 season run no doubt!

I want to thank you for making this video, it really means a lot to me. I grew up with Thundercats (2011) and I had A LOT of questions about why it didn't continue. I even started a Petition, about bringing the show back (but failed - after getting lots of negative comments). But after listening to your video I feel like I got some closure to the serie. Even though I love this serie a lot and wanted to see more and learn more of it, I'm now kinda okay with it ending as it did. You gave me answers and more! And I think it's okay that Thundercats ended, I think that they had all of this planned, but it might have been too much for the audience to handle. Since it was aimed to be a kids show. And I myself, also things that their plans for the 2nd season might have been a little too much - yet still an amazing show! I still love watching Thundercats today and I surely will in the future. I always shipped Kit and Lion o. Knowing they'd get together just makes me wish this series would have finished and not get cancelled

I remember finding some of the 80s episodes on On Demand. I think my mom introduced my brothers and I to it. We would make fun of “ the bridge is collapsing” line from Lion-O. When the reboot came out, I was super excited. I actually understood what anime was so the art style drew me in. I also like the Lion-O’s va as the Tary Mugenu from Batman Beyond. The king’s va was the old Lion-O’s va. I liked that they fledged out the world and it’s politics. The character we’re going in a good direction. It tried to do what Transformers Prime, gen 4 of mlp did for the 89s shows. Update them for a new audience and tell a more complex story. When I was a teen, it was the kind of cartoon I wanted. A little more mature but still family friendly.

It would have been nice if we got a season 2 and it's a shame that we were cheated all this great story. In this day and age and think Netflix would have been the better option to show such a great show like this. If it ever happened within the next couple years I would definitely want to watch it. Until then we have an unfinished story.

Why doesn't the creator of the show start a patreon pettition. I mean if samurai jack got an appropriate ending why shouldn't this show? It's a shame cuz it really was a great show.

The animals that would have joined Mumm-ra would literally have been only the Birds! The Berbils, Elephants, and Fishmen all have reasons to stay with the Thubndercats and the Dogs hold loyalty to a high regard and thus won’t leave the Thubdercats

Pumyra was such a well written character honestly! A very well written villain, a traitor to her kind, I really wish we had gotten at least one more season but without a redemption arc since I would hate seeing her as a heroic character rather than a villain!

Thundercats was a great underrated show with so much potential it deserves another chance. Hopefully one day they will pick up and revive this series.

I'm a big fan of the original Thundercats, and I liked the 2011 version even more. I've just recently started rewatching it again and it's even better than I remembered. It's fantastic how great this show was and this second season would have been even better. This would have been amazing. If they pulled this off Thundercats 2011 could have been the greatest cartoon ever. It's so wrong that cartoon network nver treated it right.

My heart still breaks over this, it started off the worse year in my life.. when I heard this got canceled I just didn't understand why! I watched it religiously every time a new episode came out.. I was so immersed in the story! UGHHHH IT COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT!!!! WHYYYYYYY!!! I wish someone would do something to bring this back...

The connection with Silverhawks was established very early during the first season. When they are discussing the war stone, on Mumm-Rana's computer, it shows an image of Mon'Star, the main villain of Silverhawks!

i recently found and revisited the Thundercats 2011 disc and watched some of it and i just gotta say that this show is amazing. the only reason it got cancelled was because CN put it at a bad timeslot and had even worse timing. i really want this show to come back, and hopefully netflix can pick it up and let the show finish what it started. i love this show

My dad is a big fan of the 90’s series and I liked the 2011 series, but when it got cancelled I felt bad because this was something we have in common So knowing the end of the series brought a genuine smile to me and I want to truly thank you THUNDERCATS, HO!!!!

I have had always been wishing for thundercats to come back. And I wanted to see season 2 if it was ever going to happen.

This version of Thundercats was amazing. It had a following, but it was airing during a time when kids weren't playing with toys. Which is also ashame, because the Bandai line was very well done. I absolutely would support it if a D2D movie was done, or this second season was put on Netflix.

I just started watching thundercats 2011 a week ago, i started watching this amazing animation just by seeing a nice picture of them, i dont know how i found that picture but i tought it was nice and if it is a animation it's worth to watch it , until i got to episode 26 ,after i saw that there are no more episodes i felt very sad, like this serie is so epic and has such a intresting story, i never tought it will end like this....i still wonder what happened...what made them to quit this...i just keep hoping that it will be revived , like +Carl Bloke said in his comment "Hopefully it can be able to get revived like Samurai Jack did" I totally agree with him, like, why do the animators waste time animating Thundercats Roar, it looks RIDICULOUS , this Thundercats Roar will destroy the entire epicness of this serie...my only question is WHY?

Hmmm what they can do now is continue the series via comics, which is more cheaper, and you don’t have to be concerned of going to dark.

I actually sat down with the director of the 2011 show, Dan Norton. He took me to lunch and let me come inside his WB office and told me about the plans for the show for the season that got canceled. It was pretty incredible, but yea I know what went down.

I do think not all of those plans would have been kept. They definitely could have changed a lot if given the chance to continue. It's still a crime that a second season never happened. The only think I don't like is that it was all planned to finish after 52 episodes. This show was so good I wanted at least 100 epidodes.

We need this show back on the air. Please someone call for another budget proposal production for this show and let them finish it. I will get cable tv back if they did and pay to see it in theaters. Anime Japanimation or something please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The idea of Lion-O aging 10 years older and then seeing Kit get older and being a teen and him going, "She got hot." And them getting together sounds way to fanficty. LOL XD

I enjoyed the original series when it came out (I was about 18 years old at the time), and I was intrigued to see that there was a reboot a few years ago. I had seen the pilot for the reboot, and enjoyed it, but never did get to see the show after that. I'm annoyed at the announcement of Thundercat Roars. That's certainly not something I ever wanted to see. It strikes me as disrespectful of the previous two incarnations, and just lazy and terrible.

This information about Snarf is really interesting! I always wondered why he was around as he didn't do much more than just being there. The fact that he was there despite he coudn't talk and never was of much use being more of a nuisance at times (can't fight, get's caught) made me think about his importance: He was treated as an equal member by the others. Despite being so underevolved compared to them he too was a thundercat! His unique features made it evident that he wasn't a housecat but maybe like the original form of the thundercats from which they evolved… Or maybe they are like the khajiit of The Elders Scrolls' lore whose build is determined by the position of the Moon(s) at the time of their birth: their size, intelligence, and just everything else including wether they are biledal or quadripedal! Well, now I know… I also like this aspect of the story where it adapts the ancient astronaut theory / creating a species by genetic engineering using the genes of a speciman of a planet's original inhabitant race and of the aliens that visited the planet. It's strange to learn that every living being on the planet was created by the enemy, Mumm-Ra with the sole intention to use them as weapons to conquer the universe… He is like a god: superior to all yet there are still some who fight against his tyranny… This show has some serious themes to talk about that not many viewers are aware of. I really hate it when people don't get to understand the messages of great films and tv programmes. „Meh… I've seen it. It was ok.“ - the average superficial people

Damn, with all the worldbuilding and storytelling this 2nd season would have had, this show would have been one of the best, if not the best, fantasy animation shows in western media of the decade. Shame that we won't ever see it :)

Netflix is fine and dandy with reviving old shows, but I believe the best way to go about it is if it's left to the fans to make a patreon about it or something.

That sounds a great idea! 2011Thundercats can return by finishing the scripts, animations, story lines, voice acting, and put it together in 25 episode. If you add 25 episode in season 1 and 25 episode in season 2 you get 100 episode, put it all together in Netflix. Thusly we can finally see all the story arc of Thundercats! It's perfect our problem is solved!

Even He-Man got a (horrible!) second season on Cartoon Network, so they should've given Thundercats at least season 2 as well considering how much work had already been done on it!

I grew up on the original show in the 80s and I was surprised to see this rebooted in 2011. I can honestly say I was super surprised how well it measured up to it's predecessor and did it complete justice.

Was really hoping they'd bring this show back. Even after all these spoilers, I'd still would want to watch it, especially on Netflix. As for the spoilers, if they were to bring humans into this? Likely could only work if these humans left Earth to colonize another suitable planet ala Aliens and have cone back to reclaim their home planet. Or humanity went underground ala Rage into highly advanced & protected cryo sleep pods until the surface was ready for human life again. Anyway great video.

The original series is sooooo good. I have them all downloaded on my PC. The voice actors, action hero art style, and music has never been bested by another animated tv series. I did enjoy the reboot series, however I always preferred the original because they mostly maintained the heroic fantasy setting, never bothering to explain any of the origins of the species, rather than the dark sci-fi themes that come up when you consider their questionable genetics. The only genetic question I ever asked as a kid was why Tigra and Cheetara were always the last to arrive while Lion-O was always getting into trouble with Mumm-Ra.
