Open passing (gold/slow advanced) group. It was a sunny day without much cloud cover for most of the morning, so track temps were very hot. I'm now able to stress the engine and its cooling more with these conditions and my current skill level. Oil temps actually went over 250 at least once, but nothing overheated. I'll have to do a very hot (90f+) day at some point to determine if I need to upgrade the cooling. I can also not drive the car like it's an endurance car and diligently do cooldown laps mid-session.
It was my first time running in gold group, so today's focus was being comfortable at pace with traffic who won't always lift and point you by. I also had 4 goals: t1 at 85+ with good throttle application (failed), fix my t3-4 transition (success), take t8 at 96+ (success), and not spin (success-ish lol). Too bad session 4 footage was lost since there was a good bit there where I was sandwiched between a few cars, and we were all going at a similar pace. By far the most fun track day I've had.
Setup notes: fresh front pads from ‪@CounterSpaceGarage‬, who were kind enough to let me test their carbon weave brake lines. The pedal feel was consistent from start to finish, though I didn't do a full 20 min session due to either tires or myself getting tired. ‪@JoeMcGuiganRacing‬ 's feedback on the setup is that it's pushing too much at high speed. So much weight is being moved around, so I need to stiffen things up to get more control. He is at least happy with the balance. He recommends 2 clicks stiffer all around, but I'll probably just go up 1 click. Lastly, we went out at a little bit over 50% fuel, but the car went into limp mode from fuel starvation very quickly. I'll have to investigate how to fix this other than always being at 75%+ fuel before every session.
Other notes: No session 1 data because gps wasn't working. The gopro overheated in session 3 when I briefly came in to reorient myself after another case of bad driving, so it stayed dead for session 4. I'll downgrade the resolution to 1080p for future videos to hopefully avoid this.

In regards to needing to stiffen things up, besides the coilovers, are you considering any additional chassis stiffening parts? On the forums there are a few of us who are considering ordering the KC Design chassis stiffening kit, including a rear strut bar, front lower, rear lower and rear 4 point. Just an FYI. I may be ordering one at a time until I find the balance between liveable and not too stiff lol.

None of my track buddies have ever brought up chassis stiffening stuff, and if I think about it, a stiffer chassis wouldn't reduce roll. If anything, the added weight will make it lean harder. At the end of the day, your suspension setup (springs, shocks, sway bars) will dictate how your car handles weight transfer. However, I'm glad you mentioned this because I just checked their website, and they sell a 2-way adjustable front sway bar and a rear sway bar. I'll need to find out how much stiffer these bars are first though...

@@chrispy28 Good to have some additional feedback, thanks! Yep, I was highly considering the sway bar pair first…. The only issue I’ve heard is labor for sway bars on our platform is many hours. Someone was quoted 12+ hours, lol.

Yeah it'll be a bit of a project because it requires removing the subframe (at least for the rear).
