Setup changes/maintenance:
- H&R 28mm front sway bar (non adj)
- Eibach A90 23mm rear sway bar (3-way adj set to medium)
- Topped up oil after Saturday, no heat issues on Sunday despite warmer conditions
The new sway bar setup is 28mm/23mm (both solid) compared to 26mm/19mm (OEM is hollow). Bigger front bar made the car way more planted, and the massive increase in rear roll stiffness rebalanced the car towards neutral or probably oversteer bias. The west track kinda makes me undisciplined with my inputs, so I may need to do a boring track like Laguna to figure out how it really behaves (or ask Joe to drive it 🤣). Regardless, rotation galore this weekend, a couple embarrassing offs, new windshield cracks, a rattling exhaust, grass that will forever live in my radiators, and maybe an alignment knocked loose.
With how much roll stiffness the car has now, the outside tires are getting loaded super hard. I rotated tires L-R halfway through each day and F-R after Saturday, and by the end, all four tires have enough tread for maybe 2-3 sessions. The fall off was also bad towards the end of Sunday, so TJ was right in that these tires are only good for 3 days. I may need to redo my budget if I can only get 3 days out of a set 🥲.
Lastly, I tested an external mic on the gopro, and it was a fail. The audio was broken in the first Saturday session, and it was really bad in the next. I removed it after, so we're back to windy cabin noise.
