Hi Pavlin, The PRO version also has:- cruise control, self canceliering indicators (selectable), Tyre pressure monitoring, back lit controls, Blue Tooth connectivity (for phone, helmet head set, GoPro control and GPS), and last of all, that all important, Centre Stand. I do share the comments though of all the technology, as an example, I had disconnected the fog lights to remove the upper engine bars, I then used the bike before reconnecting the lights, this then triggered a "Engine Management" warning which only said "Check Engine". it turned out that the engine Management thought I had faulty fog lights, this explanation was only available after a visit to the dealership to connect the diagnostic tool, read and rest the fault, not what you need in the middle of the dessert! Despite this, I've had my Tiger now for just under a year and I love it. Cheers, Gordon
Hello Pavlin. Thanks for the great review. I actually bought the GT Pro about a month ago and am very pleased with it. I agree with all of your observations. It's a very easy and predictable bike to ride and i do like the sound of the engine. This video is the first i have seen from you. Your country looks beautiful and maybe i'll visit on my bike one day. All the best. David.
Got my GT Pro a month ago and I absolutely love it! Plenty of power and comfort for everyday comuting and also long rides with some light offroad capabilities!
Once again you are right. My 650 cc was boring and a pain in the ass literally to ride on the highway. But at every twisty road, bad road or offroad the fun started to arise
Pavlin! I've had my red 2020 Tiger 900 GTP for a little over a year now. It's a great bike with a lot of capability. I just wish the aftermarket would catch up to all the demand being created!
Excellent review very very good motorcycle no doubt, but i think that KTM 890 adventure, not R version only adventute version, must be a slightly cheaper than T.T GT Pro !!
Super helpful review. You reviewed it like I, and most of us will be using it. I have a 40mile ride on freeway to work and 45 miles home on the backroads with an occasional trip thrown in.
One of the best comparisons... thanks Pavel! For me, 70 years old, GS 1250 is too heavy, this tiger is the bike! The solid successor to the so honorable GS 1200 AC! Main reason: weight, tire dimensions, but all useful modern extras like cruise control...
The big win on this bike is the 222kg load capacity, typical Triumph and their very high ratings on all of their adventure bikes. For reference a BMW 1250 GSA TE is rated at 217kg max load. The rear shock on yours is electronically adjustable and changeable on the fly regardless of rider mode. You can set this bike up very soft in 10-15 seconds if you wish. I only had a test ride for a few hours while my 1200 was being serviced, it was superb.
the f800gs also had a higher load capacity than the r1200gs don't know about the f850gs. The 1250 is heavier the the 1200 it replaced bet the payload got less. Think it's 242kg kerb weight now.
great review Pavlin. We are from Slovakia but spend all summers in Ravda. So you tested the Tiger on all our well known streets in the town and around Burgas. Yesterday I ordered the GT Pro in our dealer in Bratislava and think, its a good decision. I am 1.90 mtr heigh ans think the size will suit me well.
Hello, The crash guards (engine, upper) are options. The fog lights are stock, although if you get the upper engine bars you need to have them repositioned onto the bars, which involves the purchase of a repositioning kit.
...I was deciding between the GT and the Rally....I went with the Rally. But had been on the Africa Twin....the height I like better. I bought just last Saturday...👍👍👍 In Texas.
I bought the GT low version because of my incredibly short legs. Can't do any off road with that but it's such a refined and beautiful bike, blew me away on a test ride and on middle and west european roads it should serve me well. The sound of that triple is simply amazing as well....
Hello. How do you find the GT low version so far? I am thinking of buying the same but i don’t know if regular or low… I am 170cm tall, 77 kg and 30 inch inseam…Can you tell me how tall you are, inseam and weight? Did you scrape the pegs anytime? Take care and I hope you enjoy your bike!
@@benriley4398 Thanks for the reply! In the end I bought a regular Tiger 900 GT Pro wich I am going to pick up from the dealership next Monday. Most people assured me that the 810mm seat height will be ok for me to flat foot it. And I also bought the low seat so if needed I can set it at 780mm. So from what you are telling me, it should be 100% ok :) can’t wait to pick it up!
I bought the brand new Rally Pro about 2 months earlier. But it was to sporty (the riding position) for me. It's a shame because the whole bike is/was a masterpiece. Sold it and bought the Africa Twin (standard) and for me this is the one, the best one. And again, Triumph is a very good machne in every way. I know it's a personal thing and 100% agree with U. If U have a chance to ride it before buy it - do it! Do it with every bike if U have chance... Really like your style and your honest talk. Keep doing what you doing. Be safe and cheers form Hungary!
Excuse my ignorance, I only just found your channel yesterday and I love it, was wondering what country you are in? Binge watching your channel today, love your riding philosophy!!!
@@KlePhys Thanks, booked into Berat for a few days then ride Llagora pass to Sarande, few days there then up to Korcha and into Ohrid, places booked already. I rode the pass last year, awesome ride.
@@mikehurley5052 Nice. Have fun!! You can have a coffee or lunch in Livadh beach, Himare before you arrive in Sarande. It's a place you have to see hehe😁
Great review i have owned one for a year and love it... the suspension can easily be softened on the dash.... the seat needs time to bed in and chain drive is a pain i had a shaft driven 1200 before but of course brings extra weight
A very nice machine! I was sort of surprised you didn't mention that the Bumot rack/panniers are built in Bulgaria! I bought the panniers/rack system for my Africa Twin and love the quality of them over many of the other brands out on the market! Happy Trails and safe journeys
Thank you...this my replace my tracer 900 in US. It seems more polished, better behaved, and I like the motor, it seems like it has better manners. The Yamaha is very jumpy with maybe too much torque down low.
I saw as well your test of the Yamaha T9; correct me if I'm wrong but as per your reactions, I noticed you had more fun on the T9 ? Can you notice the extra 20 hp in the T9 ?
Thanks for your video! I was looking for this bike to replace my Super Tenere 1200 ES (2016), but I think it will not be enough... especially that now I flashed the ECU and the throttle response is smooth and has more torque at low revs. 65.000km and I'll keep it for a few more years I guess.
Hi Pavlin, Did you have the (unfortunate) chance to test the crash bars from Heed? I've read many horror stories about aftermarket bars damaging the frame
Beautiful now. I worry about electronics on the road and in future after a few years and kilometres. Perhaps I am too old fashioned and need to get with it! Good review thank you, happy travels.
It really is light. I thought the V-strom 650XT was light... until I test rode the 900GT. Whoahh... more displacement, more cylinders, more engine oil, more coolant... but the Triumph still felt noticeably lighter. I wonder why...
Nice review! How would you compare it to the new tracer 9 gt, in terms of suspension, comfort and engine? I own a 2019 standard versys 1000, but i think i want to downsize.. To porky of a bike at 258 kg..
Very well detailed review, i liked it. Good job. Only question and suggestion, how much you weight is quite important on acceleration. I am around 16 stone (UK) and quite struggling to decider 1200 or this... Want to hear what you could say about this.
Hi Pavlin, did you feel any kind of difference in comfort of your Yamaha's spoked wheels and Tiger's alloy wheel? E.g. in potholes on citiy roads? (Because I don't understand at all why adventure bikes are made with alloy wheels.)
Great video. You did not mention anything about buzzing in the bars at hwy speeds. That is good. I am considering this bike but want it to be smooth, not buzzy. Thanks
Hi good review. Can i ask you honest opinion please. I noticed you have also tested the new Tracer 9 GT. These two bikes are my two options for my next bike. Can i ask your opinion in how they both compare in terms of performance, handling, comfort and quality and which one you prefer. Thanks
Hi Pavlin ! Nice review as usual. One question. Did you feel vibrations, for example, after 120 km/h ? How can you characterize them: noticeable, annoying, no vibrations ? I`m riding CB500X (19) now (thanks to your review) and try to understand what I`ll receive in case of upgrade. Unfortunately we have no possibility to test drive Triumph in Ukraine
I find the bike pulls really well. It feels slightly rougher due to the firing order but that give it more character. I think in normal riding, it means you can change up at lower revs but still get the same performance.
Lots of owner complaints and literally no customer support. Most dealers only know how to turn the module on and off. Triumph clearly outsourced the software development. For the price, they could have done MUCH better.
Hi! Is this motorcycle good for offroading? Let's say, riding 70% road and 30% offroad? How capable is it for offroading? I think you missed that important part in your test... I am interested in a machine that will do tarmac very well, but also some offroading.
Let's split definitions more specifically. With the right tires., The GTP is plenty capable of OFF-PAVEMENT (double track dirt/gravel/fire roads etc.) Call it 80/20. The RALLY Pro model is OFF-ROAD.
Hi, what you prefer Triumph 900Gt or KTM 890 Adventure i am the same height as you so prefer to sit a bit higher. i am confused about both options alongside Traser 900. i would appreciate your help before I take my wallet out. regards,
I tried Tiger rally pro, what I didnt like was engine vibrations above 4000 rpm. I felt it mainly on the feet stands. And the engine noise is not that great. Too much rumbling. Finally decided to buy tracer 9gt.
it's not legal, but accepted more or less. welcome in east/middle eu 😉 same for slovakia, czech, hungary, romania... if you find a stupid police officer, then you have an issue.
Здравей,обмислям и аз да си купя точно тоя модел мотор,бях слушал ,че при скорост над 130 км/ч в двигателя се появяват дразнещи вибрации и,че това е главния недостатък при тоя двигател.Какво е твоето наблюдение?
Really like your videos, and what I've seen on the new Triumph Tigers. I'd love to trade my old 08 reliable KLR650 in for a new Tiger. But, to answer your question. No, the new Tigers are not worth what they sell for. They're way too expensive for me to buy one.
Nice machine with no doubt. But as most of the modern bikes it has too much of electronics gadgets (the new Africa Twin is another perfect example) which can lead to dangerous distractions, particularly with the huge amount of traffic we have today on our roads.
