Not only that whilst dicking every pancake waitress in America without doubt one of the greatest Sportsman to ever play sports! We still play Tiger Woods EA sports 2014 its that good!
@@srobliski I mean to say that the argument exists is one thing, but I’d question anyone who begs the question are golfers athletes, “okay so Tiger Woods not an athlete?” I believe most if not every person would say that he is. I stand by my point. Nonetheless, we both agree Tiger’s the goat. I completely agree with you that he’d be on top with wins if it weren’t for injuries & the scandal. Tiger’s human. We’re all human. Given the same amount of success & fame, we’d all likely do the same or worse. I think that’s something we all agree on. Well said sir.
When this guy was on top his game it was the most explosive force golf has ever seen. Bro won his first green jacket by 12 shots. Nobody does that. It was a treat to watch.
@@lukedowneslukedownes5900 glad we got RU-vid now you can see how great he was my parents never watch golf or anything but when tiger woods was in Florida they took me and my brother to go see him
That putt he made on 18 to get into the playoff with Rocco in the 2008 US Open was ethereal. It's just hard to comprehend how somebody could make that putt with that much on the line and millions of people watching but he did.
I just remember thinking there is no way he is going to miss it. Which is the best explanation I can offer on what it was like watching Tiger in his prime. 20’ putts with a lot of break looked like gimmies for him. And they frequently were.
@@jamesroboyle I think what helped Tiger (apart from obvious talent) was he was trained with a 'navy seal' mentality from a very young age by his father. After he won 3 straight US amateur championships (and also in clutch situations), he went into the big leagues believing there was nothing he could not accomplish.
This man, in his prime, was undoubtedly the most dominant, intimidating, and relentless force in the history of any sport. He knew he was going to win. We knew he was going to win. His opponents knew he was going to win.
Sorry to break the news to you, but in majors Jack Nicklaus has: More 1st place finishes. More 2nd place finishes. More 3rd place finishes. More 4th place finishes. More 5th place finishes. Yes. In major tournaments Nicklaus is the GOAT, and it isn’t even close.
@@colinboublik8305 I see your point but time in and time out I mean this guy was number one for what was it two years or something ridiculous I can't remember the stretch of weeks but I know it was big. I mean like Michael Phelps was by far the greatest Olympian of his generation and then you saying both I'll give the edge to Michael Phelps because he won more gold. But Michael Phelps isn't swimming week by week where tiger had runs where he won like seven out of nine tournaments I remember one year he won all the opens the British the US and the Canadian open all in one year and I remember the BET was Tiger of the field and don't forget when golfers play there's what 200 golfers playing in the tournament where Michael Phelps is lining up against 10 competitors at a time. He also has to play different courses different lands different weather got to worry about distance and ball and wind. What Michael Phelps is temperature of the water is usually the same water's water right.
The pure ballstriking, the creativity to move it left or right whenever he needs to, the sheer power to create backspin from some nasty thick rough and hit it high so it stops on a dime...Tiger has it all. But the most overlooked part might be the putting. Definitely one of the best putters of the golf ball in all of the history of the game. Especially in clutch situations. When Tiger needed to make it, he very rarely missed. Can't wait until you are back, Tiger. I miss seeing you out there. I think we all do.
In his prime, anything 10' and in was going in.. he was unbelievably consistent with his putting.. if people are curious, go look up his putting numbers thru his best years, they're stupid good.. it's really what made him so dominant.. the rest of the field would miss a couple of those that tiger just wouldn't.. and if you miss a putt that someone else is making, you might as well have just wiffed on the tee
Your taking some bad medication, if you think he was a great putter. "Especially in the clutch"...not even close to Nicklaus. Tiger Woods was a great FRONT RUNNER, nothing more. On Sunday, if he was 2-3 shots behind there was concern, but no fear, by those in front. If Nicklaus was within 3 shots, all eyes was on him, not on the leaders. He made more 15-18 ft putts on sunday for the money, than Woods even dreamed of. If Woods putted as well as Nicklaus, and could have played from behind, he might have won 100 tournaments. He's in the top 5-6 of all time, but if there is really a GOAT, it's probably Ben Hogan...After the age of 35 Snead won 40 tournaments, Woods 11. If not for the car accident, Hogan would have won more than 82, and if wasn't such a late commer, before winning his first, and time off for WW2, he would have won a 100. By the time Hogan won his first, Woods had won over 25...Bottom line Woods is the GOAT of players under 30, with the possible execption of Bobby Jones. Check Hogan's record, what he did after the Bus ran into him is unbelievable. In four years after the crash, he only could play 17 tournaments, because his lower body had to be wrapped tight, so as to be able to walk. He won 10 of the 17, including 5 Majors! in 1953 the 4th year, he won the Masters, US Open, British Open then retired. He didn't play in the PGA which was match play back then, because it was more stress on this body. For my money, taking in the total careear, Hogan is the GOAT, most of my life i thought it was Nicklaus, until i started researching the history.
@@researcher3981 LoL. I'm on some "bad medication" if I contend that Tiger Woods was a great putter in clutch situations? I'd say that, literally, when it was a "must have" situation, Tiger Woods made that putt over 90% of the time. Go back and watch his highlights. In a big tournament when h had to have it, most times he came through. Not denying that Nicklaus was great. Not denying that Hogan was an incredible player. I never said anything like that. But even you, yourself, say Tiger is in the top 5-6 golfers of all time. Well, do you think he got there by being a shitty putter? Your comment makes no sense. I'm on drugs for saying Tiger was/is a great putter of the golf ball, yet you place him in the top 5 of all golfers of all time. Which is it?
I watched every minute of that 2008 US Open. That was the greatest single sports performance in the history of sports. To win a US Open on a broken leg is absolutely insane.
@@chefmoney6347 Tell that to Olympic gymnast Shun Fujimoto who competed with a broken knee and led Japan to a Gold Medal in 1976. So according to your dumb fuck logic, gymnastics is not a sport. "You stupid or somethin' son!?"
@@wordpressobsessed9067 John Daly doesn’t have an ounce of athleticism in his body but was at the top of his so called sport. What a joke maybe if they had to run between shots it could be considered a sport LOL
@@chefmoney6347 John Daly won a few events but was never “at the top of golf” go to a course and play 18 holes you’d hit the ball 200 times before you were done
Apparently Jack Nicklaus, seeing the rising star is Tiger Woods started pushing the idea that the majors are more important than regular tournament wins, which is BS. Tiger is the goat
I doubt we will ever see Tiger on the golf course ever again, it’s kind of sad when you think about it. But then again, we just saw Phil take on some of the stiffest competition the PGA has to offer....and win the championship at Kiawah.
Those Roars at the 2018 PGA Championship brought me back to watching Tiger in his prime. Even though he didn’t win that day it was something I ll never forget
It’s an absolute shame I’ll never get to experience the hype of tiger woods playing in my life. I was not into the game of golf until recently. What a legend, I’ll never hear the end of him!
He was the center of my household in the summers when I was growing up. If he was in contention on Sunday, my mother, father and I would watch him play the entire round. I always loved his interviews after good rounds. Watching him win the Masters in 2019 was incredible. He's not a role model for how to treat women, but he is an incredible sportsman.
He beat peeps just by being Tiger. His Opponents literally couldn't handle the Shit that goes along with playing him. It was fun to watch. Still like watching golf (PGA) but not quite the same
@@Youngstar37 Nothing to do with it? Are you serious? Are you telling me taking steroids is not cheating? How old are you kid? He cheated the game of golf. Tiger lover!

@@Youngstar37 Golf is measured in majors. Your butt buddy Tiger said that not me. Jack has more majors and more seconds in majors and it’s not even close. Jack never took roids did your buddy Eldridge?? Yep! You are the only delusional one!
Great thing about Tiger is he was never shy to show his excitement after a great shot or a clutch shot. And that excitement resonates with the crowd and gets people hyped up to see more. Far to many players try to act to "cool" or mellow when they make a good shot
The smile on 17 at the 08 US Open when the “One Time!” chip went in is what made me a fan. That back nine was the most incredible display of golf and guts combined I’ve ever seen. He flat out willed the ball in the hole time after time. What a show that weekend was.
Yeah. I'll never forget Rocco's reaction to the drain on 18 on Sunday. 'Of course he made it. Of course I have to play 18 tomorrow. Who did I think I was playing?'
My Aunt Billie - who never played ANY golf in her entire life - simply LOVED the Golf Channel during the last few years of her life. Her Ultra-Favorite player was Tiger. Wherever you are, Aunt Billie, I hope that you can see these videos...
Tiger is the best golfer… he made golf very interesting and exciting… I was lucky to to witness him playing at Kingston Heath GC, Melbourne, Australia.
he got paid upfront money that was more than the first place prize just to show up. so really he crushed what the guys could have gotten for playing if he wasn't so greedy in the name of growing the game, LOL
Superhero right there...be thankful that you were around to witness this. What a life, what a legend. Name etched in history forever. Hard for a mere mortal to comprehend. The man
For my money his performance at Bellerive was as good as it gets, even without winning. Showed us all he still had it, the iron play was absolutely sick!
This was THE LOUDEST I have ever witnessed on a golf course. We were at the top of 17 stands when he eagled 13. You knew that was a Tiger roar. After chipping on 17 all you needed to do was stand at the back of the stands to see his approach and putt on 18. I’ve since been to other majors and two winning Ryder Cups, still not as loud at 17 and 18 that day.
The guy in the crowd at the U.S. Open yelling "1 Time!" has secured his place in history. I remember watching it live, and that will always stand out lol.
American fans should be proud of Tiger overall, stop cutting him down, he is the world' greatest golfer and as a fellow American he deserves good praise!
I’m split on the GOAT debate. If greatest means most talent and ability, it’s Tiger for sure. If greatest means greatest career, it’s Jack. Not just the major wins, but Jack has 19(!) runner ups. Just mind boggling
Tiger also has 82 career wins. Holds the record for consecutive cuts made- with 142. He's the only player in PGA history to have won all 4 majors in a row. He won 7 consecutive tournaments in a season. He has the lowest scoring average in PGA history. He's won several different tournaments more than any other golfer. He's the youngest player to be number 1 in the world- and holds the record for number of weeks at number 1. No one else comes close. Not too shabby for a career. As great as the Golden Bear was- if he has a highlight reel like this, I've never seen it.
Tiger single-handedly changed golf, in so many ways, period. Only the GOAT can do that. Even the look changed: Jack was very awkward to watch, especially on putts, where Tiger was smooth as ice...even sexy, while playing.
Because of Tiger Woods every pro golfer makes so much more money. Before him the game didn’t have half the fan base, endorsements, viewership, and popularity it does today because of him. He will always be the greatest and what he’s done for this sport no golfer will ever be able to duplicate that.
True amazing is the only word he brings excitement to a rather boring sport, people got to understand that this sport took skill, hardwork and dedication to play; i know lots of people who started playing golf because of tiger woods
Man, I feel so bad for Tiger right now. I hurt my leg and ankle pretty bad skiing a few years ago and I still feel it to this day. He's going to go through some rough times making it back, but here's to hoping that he makes a full recovery...or at least one that allows him to walk without pain.
He was the greatest electrifying golfer of all time the best closer of all time the best finisher of all time. I remember in his prime wearing the red shirt . Back in 99 between 99 and 2003 if he was crawling up that leaderboard on a back nine those players would start faltering and getting the ups and missing and start choking and they see tiger going up that little board and he wants to see if he got hot and he had four or five birdies in a row a couple Eagles in there and you know it was a wrap. Once he got hot everybody took a backseat man it was birdies and bunches Eagles not to sure if he's had a whole bunch of albatrosses or double eagles but I'm sure he's got those in his belt too. I thank you for all your golfing expertise and I think Mr Woods the father for teaching his son the game Earl would be missed and I really hope that tiger is not done but it's going to be hard for him to manufacture golf swing with metal rods we have technology we can rebuild him he'll be the 6 trillion dollar man by then if that happens.
The most exciting and best golfer to ever play the game IDC, he is so godamn entertaining and good. Easily above Phil Mckileson, I'm sorry argue to a wall.
I got to follow Tiger quite closely at the 2001 Tour Championship. He wasn't really in contention on Sunday, so it was surprisingly not that crowded around him. For several shots, I was only a few feet behind him. Pretty cool experience. He hit a couple incredible shots that day too.
You know what's great? We got to watch Tiger Woods dominate the sport of golf for 15-20 years...and we are going to get to watch his son Charlie Woods pick up right where Tiger left off. Charlie will probably dominate golf for another 20 years after Tiger retires. What a great time to live in if you are Woods fan!
Charlie Woods' swing is scary good. I can't wait to see what kind of player he becomes. He had already learned to release his left foot so at least he won't have the same knee problems as his dad.
...well let's just wait and see. Charlie doesn't need or deserve that kind of arrogant childish comparison to be like his father. If he has a successful career..so be it. Winning and dominating the game like his father. I doubt that he would be able to try. Genetics are there but Tiger is a 1 off.
I'll say amen to that! there are lots of new young golfers but they don't have the charisma and personality like tiger he just was so beautiful with a golf club in hand its like watching your best music artist putting on his best performance.
Tiger in his prime was borderline unbeatable. Just made it look easy so often, and it’s just not. And even badly injured he still flushed it and made putts. It’s been a privilege to watch him play these years.
At Tigers peak, I think he was the most dominant athlete in all of sports history, which is crazy considering he plays the most inconsistent, frustrating sport out there 😂😂
And he did that first part against Rocco with a torn acl and an avulsion fracture which is about as painful as pain gets. I’ve had 5 surgeries on 1 knee from various injuries like an avulsion fracture and torn ligaments and the pain from the initial injury will want you to not move at all and the fact he walked and played a golf tournament is mind blowing to me
