In this episode "Tim Ballard Operative Speaks Out!" Radio Free Mormon dives deep into the shadows of "Operation Underground Railroad" (OUR) with an exclusive interview featuring an operative who has chosen to break their silence. With firsthand experience working inside OUR, the operative sheds light on the controversial organization and its founder, Tim Ballard.
Listeners will be taken on a journey through the intricate web of child rescue missions, revealing startling revelations about the methods employed by OUR. The interview explores the shocking claims of psychic intelligence being utilized as a cornerstone of their operations, as detailed in the Vice exposé, and delves into the dark underbelly of the trafficking industry.
Drawing from the Vice articles linked below, RFM and the operative discuss the contentious production of "Sound of Freedom," a film that came under scrutiny for its portrayal of an underage trafficking victim. The conversation provides a chilling glimpse into the blurred lines between advocacy and exploitation.
The informant offers a unique perspective on the fallout and its implications for both Ballard and the organization he founded.
"Tim Ballard Operative Speaks Out!" is an eye-opening episode that confronts the complexities and controversies surrounding Operation Underground Railroad. Listeners will gain invaluable insights into the motives, methods, and morality of an organization claiming to be on the frontlines of the battle against human trafficking. Don't miss this exclusive exposé that challenges the narrative and prompts critical reflection on the pursuit of justice.

These 2 'undercover cops' from Utah, were they, in the strip club, acting as "undercover cops' or are you just calling them that because they're LEOs in Utah? Were they acting as authorized agents of the DR? Independent contractors for Interpol, the FBI? It sounds like they were there as mere tourists, nothing more. Calling them 'undercover cops' lends an air of legitimacy to their actions, and seems more than a little misleading.

I'm pretty sure they were just there having a good time. As a veteran dancer, I can tell you it is highly unlikely that the dancers (from anywhere) would have information about child trafficking. I thought OUR was an organization comprised of Mormons. But it is typical everywhere for cops to go to strip clubs, whether officially or unofficially, to have a good time and for no other real reason. They are also the ones who are most likely to try to engage dancers in illegal conversations in an effort to prostitute them--again, usually for their own selfl-indulgence. I've seen cops directly involved in trafficking American women in a number of places across the U.S. They constantly harass dancers for their own gratification.

My husband arrests pedos for our country's border agency (I worked as a forensic analyst for the same law enforcement agency) and there are a few things that over the years have struck my husband as false and even potentially illegal about O.U.R's tactics or purported tactics. I was a little more willing to give the organization the benefit of the doubt because I'm a member of the Church, my husband isn't, so we had very different biases. Laws change depending on the country. When O.U.R claim to have statistics, it's difficult to believe that a private company would be privy to any kind of official statistics or intelligence that government agencies would be privy to. I can see why the investment in spiritual readers. If you don’t have any hard intelligence, where do you go to? As a private company, Tim would have as much access to official information or intelligence as you do as a private citizen. Nor would he have any official powers to detain, arrest, go undercover and entrap people... he would not have powers to view anything deemed objectionable under the laws of most countries, if he filmed anyone in the act of victimizing children, he would be producing objectionable material and totally incriminating himself, irrespective of what his intent was. He's ex-law enforcement so he knows the laws around what a private citizen can do vs what an officer of the law with appropriate delegated authority can do in the same capacity.
@saspen3
@saspen3 Год назад
Let's put it this way, whatever powers Tim uses to perform his overseas "operations", you have the same powers to do it, however you'd be on shaky ground especially if you do not understand international laws, the laws of different countries, and the laws of your own country. Your country might have laws that enable them to prosecute you for crimes committed overseas, and generally speaking, as a private citizen (non law enforcement) you do not have the same powers and backing by government to do half the things that actual law enforcement officers can do.

Family, friend...or something. Perhaps a link to someone else who did or could do favors for TB. One can only speculate at this point. But the most unlikely scenario is that TB just believed so much in her psychic powers that he was willing to keep paying her and promoting her as a reward for her repeatedly and invariably producing absolutely nothing of value.

It's becoming obvious to me that "Mardy Gardy" is a MacGuffin (a term made famous by Alfred Hitchcock). Call me cynical. But it looks like T. Ballard and crew from the very outset plotted out the elements of an "epic story" that could be turned into a compelling script for a movie or series of movies and books that would generate money. The story is a basic "The Search for [fill in the blank]" type of plot. In this case, the movie script is "The Search for Mardy". A psychic who had no psychic abilities? No problem. She's just an actor in a movie being made after the manner of a reality TV show. (TB and his inner circle would know already that they're never going to actually find the MacGuffin.) For the story, it's all about the struggle to find the missing boy and tugging at the heart strings, which are connected to the wallets and purse strings of present and future donors. MacGuffin : an object, event, or character in a film or story that serves to set and keep the plot in motion despite usually lacking intrinsic importance. In the actual story, the compelling drama, character development and struggles of the characters are the main elements. The MacGuffin is just the elusive thing that drives the story forward--the thing that motivates and compels the actions of the characters. The search for the holy grail. (The "holy grail" is the MacGuffin.) Saving Private Ryan (Private Ryan is the MacGuffin.) Apocalypse Now and the search for Colonel Kurtz (Kurtz is the MacGuffin). The Maltese Falcon (you guessed it, the Maltese Falcon is the MacGuffin). In Norm Macdonald's "Twelve-Minute Joke"...Janice is the MacGuffin. In the OUR story, Mardy Gardy is the holy grail and Private Ryan. OUR gets people invested in the story and invested in the mission to rescue Mardy. The emotions lead to donations.

**Summary of 45 mins** - So.. Story is they went down, and instead of normal intelligence Ballard used a psychic (Janet) and did legwork. Then his main complaint is that he's worried Ballard's team was offering people enough money to selling minors that they wouldn't have otherwise done. He's worried their methods were creating new victims. He also mentioned OUR doesn't have full aftercare support, but didn't elaborate at all on this. He also said the mission was disorganized. 1.) There doesn't seem to be any evidence of creating victims where they'd be none. - Obviously you don't want this to ever happen. On the flip side people here are INCREDIBLY naïve to how the current FBI operates. The current FBI is 100x worse, and CIA is 1000x worse. 2.) Nothing specifically on Ballard himself. 3.) The organization of these missions is often messy. People have been watching too many movies. This is fly by the seat of your pants stuff. In Summary: If you thought Ballard ran an operation like out of some sort of spy novel or fantasy spy adventure then you'll be disappointed. If you had any sort of attachment to how real life works, he did very well.

On a side note, our fbi spent over 1 million of our tax dollars to get someone who hated Trump to create fake documents, on purpose, so they then could spend over 100 million dollars investigating him & associates for 4 years & after the fact, were exposed for lying to courts & falsifying documents & got nothing from it except destroying innocent citizens reputations which did what they set out to do, while wasting our tax dollars.

I'm starting to believe that from the very beginning Ballard was just using the kid as a plot device for a story line that would be emotionally compelling and attract donations. I doubt that he ever really expected to find the kid. In movie terminology, Mardy was a "MacGuffin" .... In most novels or movies that can be described as a "Search for...." type of adventure story (the holy grail, Private Ryan, Colonel Kurtz, the Maltese Falcon, The Ark of the Covenant, etc.), the thing being searched for just provides the rationale for the characters, conflicts, struggles and adventures that the main characters go through in the story. The thing being searched for has no real importance in the story beyond that. The finding of it is often just tacked on at the very end to bring the story to an end...and sometimes the object is never found.

I've got a bridge for sale. Maybe Trevor would like to buy that as well? Also, did these "undercover cops from Utah" notify their bosses that they were getting involved in this? Did they have permission? And if not, what did they thing would happen if the whole thing went bad and they ended up in a DR jail charged with sex offences etc. And before anyone gives a "what about the children" response maybe take a closer look about where your trainers, t shirt etc were made. And then do your due diligence to be sure they are not being made by child labour in some sweat shop in SE Asia.

@@Karena-vw4di If you mean that dancers have pimps, that's ridiculous. Dancers are dancers. Sometimes they have all kinds of people trying to take advantage of them, but these are not, by any stretch, pimps. Pimprs are associated with p rostitution. These guys, especially cops, knew the difference. They know very well. They had no purpose in the club except to get drunk and engage in self-gratification--all on the dime of the welll-meaning idiots who gave them money to abuse women and children abroad.
@Karena-vw4di
@Karena-vw4di Год назад
@@wolfpowers2867 if you can take the girl upstairs by yourself....that is more than dancing. You don't class that as prostitution? Also dancers can be trafficked from abroad, look at the case of those trafficked into Canada. There is a legal loophole in Canada that means they can't legally sue their traffickers.
@wolfpowers2867
@wolfpowers2867 Год назад
@@Karena-vw4di I've worked in places in the U.S. where there are private rooms. It doesn't mean sex acts or prostitution Canada is different. I was always told to stay out of Canada because apparently our clubs double as brothels. But, I had a friend who did a feature stage performance there and I don't think she had any trouble--except harassment at the U.S.-Canadian border, of course--which is typical. Some talent agencies in the U.S. appear to be fronts for trafficking of women. I was warned about these by survivors on several occasions. As I said, dancers are dancers. If the party in this video, which included cops, were really looking for traffickers or their victims, they wouldn't go to a strip club and get drunk. They might infiltrate a brothel or some kind of underground establishment that is typically a front for something like that. I worked in clubs all over the U.S. for decades and in W. Europe. There is little cross over between prostitution and the strip clubs--probably no more than you would find in your local real estate office!
