Tim talks about people that own Teslas and the cult worship of the Tesla Company and Elon Musk. From episode 235: • #235 - Covid Kai | The... Bonus episodes every week at: / thetimdillonshow
I’ve literally seen crowds of people in parking lots getting the low down from a Tesla owner. It’s like a weird pyramid thing where you buy the car and then you become a Tesla spokesperson.
Dude my fucking neighbor does the same thing! Him and his wife won’t shut the fuck up. I will say they are pretty good salesman because they’ve gotten one other person on my block to get a Tesla. Tesla car owners are at cult nothing more.
@Joseph Weird. You'd think that the Ford F-150 would have made the top pick list for 2020, if that was the case. Or that Ford would have more of their cars in the top pick list, and in higher positions. The truth is that Ford is a small philanthropic contributor. So, this Ford argument is piss poor. Teslas suck balls, and so does Elon. lol
Not a cult type person, but I like the cult leader a little a bit. I hope he has much success. Maybe because he is essentially a person who gets out there and does his thing. Ramble on, sing my song- reminds me of musk.
For some its effortless.. With me, I still remember that one time in 12th grade when I unintentionally said something amazingly witty and the whole class was in hysterics. That one time. ONE.
Early Prius owners were the same exact way. They always wanted to show off the dashboard and explain how the regenerative braking worked as if they were engineers and not [enter boring office job here] workers.
I will have a Tesla, and it will go to Ralph's for me, perform my husbandly duties, and mow my lawn - and I will be free to descend into a fugue state and listen to Doja Cat and play with my fidget spinner like I've always dreamed of.
"Yeah you can self drive so you can cut lines of coke on a cd case" -If you've managed to find a cd case in your self driving Tesla in 2021, then you've got some premium coke my friend.
@@ndnrb_ That was true for a while, but I've seen a major tectonic shift to chrome books. Elementary schools (that I've seen) have switched to ruggedized chrome books and google-classroom. For sr. kids the regular chrome books have a big range of price points - but none that I've used have been trash (unlike those win/net books from a few years ago).
Tesla owners are like NASCAR fans. They can’t figure out what’s wrong with their 98 Dodge Dakota but somehow they know what it takes to build an engine suitable for the Daytona 500.
You won't have to wait too long, you will be considered the same as people that smoke cigarettes today. Not saying I agree with it, just seems the way it's going.
I have spent the past three days of recovery after a surgery binge-watching everything Tim and have yet to see any of his rants that don't bring me to tears 🤣 comedic GOLD!!!
And 2 years later you are correct it takes basically an approximate amount of emissions to produce a Tesla as it does to produce a gas powered vehicle and power it for most of its life. Cobalt mining requires a metric fuck ton of gasoline diesel etc
Little do they know that no one actually survives a crash beyond a fender bender with a lithium battery Bc no water and no chemical can put out a lithium fire until Yur all dust 😂. I’ll stick w my horse n buggy of self driving. Thx!
If you have a Tesla and you set it to self driving, and you sit in the passenger seat , AND it accidentally hits someone , is it truly your fault??......
I have a cousin who owns a very successful niche furniture company, and he has a Tesla, but he is absolutely not a fanboy; if anything, there's always a new thing about it that he's complaining about because either it's on the fritz, or some firmware update changed something he liked. It IS crazy fast though, and a lot more manageable at speed than you'd think for an electric car. That speed is crucial when you have to commute a couple states over on a near-weekly basis to maintain the company's operations.
My step dad bought one in 2019. No self driving mode. Brand new. Dual motor. This is a guy who owns a strip mall, 9 rental properties and has the pension of a boilermakers union worker and he still pays $800 a month for it! It’s not a cheap car. It’s beyond luxury
