hey we've all seen videos where someone throws their phone into the water instead of whatever was in their other hand. Pretty common slipup in a quick heated situation. However, her training is supposed to slow her reactions just enough so that she recognizes a tense situation and stops just long enough to make the right decision. Clearly that training did not kick in x_x
For the record, 📂, Potter was the PD patrol union shop steward & she was "use of force" trainer. 🤨 Potter, by her own account had 0 taser uses or any line of duty shoots-lethal force events.
There was one from a while back where a female cop was being chased around a parked car while she was screaming for help until back up arrived and swiftly arrested him.
I’ve trained in different martial arts for years and it’s not unusual to meet police officers who are also training. I remember at age 14/15, grappling with a female police officer and I was manhandling her so easily, (I almost couldn’t believe it at the time). In my opinion women shouldn’t be police, shit half the men that are police shouldn’t be police.

Unfortunately, the solution is what nobody wants to hear: spend more money on police, like a *lot* more. It's the only way to hire enough *better* people and get them more/better training. The other half is toxic urban culture, but you can't fix that by throwing money at it. Right now, we don't pay police enough money or train them well enough to expect them to throw their lives away as part of their job. Even soldiers aren't expected to think like suicidal martyrs, but at least we pay and prepare them better.

A better selection process, with certain auto disqualifier, but after hired the money to train officers is almost at a negligent rate. Going to a shooting range and target practice is good for accuracy improvement and fundamentals, but nowhere near the real world scenarios and situations. Force on force training, real life scenarios, and im sure ex police, ex military, ex contractor have ideas that would greatly improve these situations that happen wit police. I have had interaction with numerous police officers from a variety of dept, for a variety of reasons. Some people just dont have it. Ive done nothing wrong, been respectful, and had police that are so sure im doing something illegal, that after 45 min of searching, separately trying to twist, distort, lie, & manipulate words in attempts to have that "oh yeah, we got him" moment when nothing that went on in those situations would have led a good, efficient, well trained officer to go down the rabbit hole looking for criminal activity. Some people are just shity, evil people, some people arent cut out for the career they dreamed of as a child. The kids that were bullied in high school, should not be allowed to be law enforcement to have a way of getting back at bullies.

Actually it isn't. Plenty of capable men are school teachers. They are trusted to watch and supervise children in situations where they are alone with them for hrs. We hold them responsible for the safety of the children while in their custody. Yet we don't allow them the free access to training and the means to carry a weapon like we do for the people who are accountable for the safety if our money while in the custody of said person. Money rises to the level of importance that makes training and employing trustworthy people to be responsible for its supervision. Your stance on this is just absurd
I remember being a teenager and getting pulled over by this 5ft, 100 ib looking woman who looked like a calm wind could blow her over. Yet she was acting tough like she could take on a lion. As one of those 19 people, shooting to wound isnt a thing, ask any firearms trainer, ever. A basic explanation is: if these cops can't even make the right decision to pull their gun out in the first place, shrinking the size of their target under stress, greatly increases the chance of a miss and shooting down results in bullets skipping off the ground. It puts people who are even MORE innocent in danger
Not to mention if you aren't shooting with the expectation that the shooting is going to be fatal, you shouldn't be shooting at all. A shot anywhere to the body is potentially fatal, depending on the circumstances

This is actually a thing we need to talk about as a country. We shouldn’t have women on police forces. Not even the lesbians. The only possible way 99.9% of women can safely subdue most men, is with weapons. I’d say that 80% of men would physically dominate 99.9% of female police in hand to hand combat. So they HAVE to use escalated force to equalize the playing field. I was in the military. I trained with women. I fought women in that training. While we were screamed at to give them everything we had, everyone went 50% and still tossed them around like rag dolls. These are trained, military women, not housewives. It doesn’t even compare. A female officer has no choice but to pull her weapon in far far more circumstances than a male officer. So why the fuck are we letting them serve? We’re literally costing lives in the name of “equality”.

Not that hard to predict. Its happened like 18 times since they started using tasers shaped like guns. I don't know how many of them were female, but it happens a surprising number of times for what it is.

It’s a muscle memory issue if she grabbed her primary weapon versus her taser. She had to have switched her gear around without training in that configuration long enough to remember the difference between the two.

Couldn’t tell the difference between a gun and a hot glue gun 😂😂😂 Seriously though, I was standing in line at my local coffee shop one day and this female police officer, maybe she was an FBI agent or something because she had her Tac vest on the outside of her clothes. Anyway, I’m about 160 5’11 and this chick who had her back turned to me and had her gun extremely accessible was maybe five four, 95 to 100 pounds. Point is she shouldn’t of been a cop, she could’ve easily been over powered.
