The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Miami Dolphins in a 23-17 win. Justin Herbert threw for 367 yards and a touchdown, while Tua Tagovailoa threw for 145 and also a touchdown. The Herbert vs. Tua debate sparked up to Sunday Night Football in Week 14, but did the Chargers win show that it is time to end the debate? Colin Cowherd explains why it is to put it to bed. The Dallas Cowboys improved to 10-3, but narrow avoided a major upset from the Houston Texans, thanks to Ezekiel Elliott's late game-winning touchdown. To everyone that has hate for Dak, Dak is a wonderful person, which make a great leader. We tend to forget he is a 4th round pick. We tend to forget he is the only QB including all the 1st rounders in his draft class that is still standing. We tend to forget that no anytime Dak is being praised or bashed is always in comparison to ALL THE TOP notch QBs. What's crazy is that some of these same top notch QBs have been having worse SEASON(S ). He works hard, he stays drama free, and whether you like it or not he has had winning season every year that he has played fully. And his team really respects him.. and just this year since he came back, he has been amazing including the 9 interceptions. He's a 4th round pick YET his name and stats are always mentioned with the upper ranked QBs. Hate all you want but he can play ball. And for you all that are going to Say he just a good "game manager " , I say to you well DUHH!! The QB is suppose to be the biggest leader on the team, he suppose to manage the game very well. Since when did being a good game manager become such a underrated trait for the QB position.

I would find it very interesting if they had a fun little segment where they decided to pair up a quarterback with the coaching staff that would help them the best basically it be interesting to see Herbert with Kansas City or Zach Wilson with Miami or Trevor Lawrence with Minnesota but basically who they think would flourish in their system because there are some good quarterbacks out there that just don’t have the right support around them or that support just has no clue what they’re doing because it’s very clear Josh Allen misses his old coach before he went to New York

I think you are giving dak a bit to much heat, the cowboys lost a lot of players too including his pro bowl level right tackle so that second pick he got hit as he threw it. Plus he had a good game winning drive. They had a strong start but that muffed punt changed momentum and they got back into it. Not saying dak was blameless but it's not like everything was his fault.

The thing with Herbert is that he can play well with anybody, but the coaches are holding him back. If I was Tom Telesco, I would hire an offensive head coach for Herbert to make him win more games. Meanwhile, you can see with Tua last two games, he’s not good when trailing and if you take away hill and waddle from that offense, he can’t do anything.

I agree on Jalen Hurts. And I think he would agree as well. Massively improved. Continues to improve. Most consistent QB this year. Won games. Throws it well. Runs intelligently. The roster has no weaknesses and coaches are doing a phenomenal job. Worryingly for others he is still looking at improving. Worryingly for others he has been rested in several 4th quarters. Worryingly for others his intangibles won't fade. He deserves a big contract this off season. But don't be surprised if he goes team friendly on it. I think it will be 5 year 180m.

Herbert’s number 1 receiver this year… Josh Palmer. 664 receiving yards, 4.52 40 time, 65.9 PFF grade. Tua’s number 1 receiver… Tyreek Hill. 1,460 receiving yards, 4.29 40 time, 92.4 PFF grade. Also had J Waddle with 4.3 speed on the field the whole time. And they have the same number of TD. And Herbert has a fractured rib cage and backup tackles. And the center is beat up.

No one Denys he’s good. He’s not elite. Mahomes Allen burrow if they have 50+ pass attempts with all there star receivers in the game there going for more than 350 yards and a single touchdown. And they’ve all had terrible lines and still made much better plays and games. Herbert’s good and deserves success and a good team. But he’s not the elite game changer those others are. Get him a team around him and he could be a playoff contender with them.

With a bad O line and being hurt for 4 or 5 game with rib injuries and with his weapons on offense out most of season I’m just amazed how good he is. He could be the next Kobe or Magic in LA if chargers get it right. They need a Phil as coach to take this to the next level. I absolutely amazed how he put ball in places I’ve never seen. Colin nailed this except for the right tackle part. The Chargers have an average right tackle, he's just injured. He needs depth. Top 3 left tackle in the league (injured), rookie Salyer about to take over left guard when Slater comes back and Feiler is cut next season, the best center in the league, promising rookie right guard, and a solid RT in Pipkins. Salyer is the only one healthy right now with Linsley and Zion playing injured and Slater and Pipkins out.

I don’t find his thoughts on Cousins accurate. Cousins had over 400 yards and Jefferson had over 200. Where did he let them down? The Vikings defense allowed 34 points by the Lions, that’s the issue. I still believe in Kirko Chainz and the Vikings this year.

Don't get the Sean Payton idolization. Okay, he won a Super Bowl and he's got a pretty good record (63% winning record regular season) but he's only 9 and 8 during the post-season. Plus, worse for the Chargers, if he becomes the HC he may keep Joe Lombardi, who is the real problem, not Staley. The Chargers should fire Lombardi and get a better, proven OC no matter the cost.
