That 70's House is back with another house project! I have this pantry closet that honestly isn't very needed in our house! That said, we DO need more kitchen storage, so I thought I would turn it into a home bar / coffee bar situation! That said, I want to do everything with second hand materials if possible! But before you watch this, make sure to watch the first part of this makeover here : • can i make over my pan...
In this video, I tackle installing the vintage furniture finds I got in the last video, and making the overall space look like my vision! What do you think of the final results? Comment below!

While I LOVE the aesthetic and functionality, I’m not sold on the cabinet beneath. Can you hide the legs to make it look built in? It just feels a bit weird floating there. It looks amazing otherwise!
@michellemorales
@michellemorales Год назад
Yea I feel the same way. I thought when they built the platform they were going to remove the legs. The legs are rad though, so it’s tough, but it looks kind of odd though. Everything else is looking great! Though I would have installed lights inside the top cabinet too.
@Quiteinfamous
@Quiteinfamous Год назад
@@michellemorales I was thinking the same thing, I think the lights at the top and bottom make the cabinet so dark inside. Also the box below should just be a cool looking cabinet. The feet feel really off and the feet can’t be cut off because that piece is beautiful
@y0utuberculosis
@y0utuberculosis Год назад
that is a fair point, it's gonna be annoying to clean under there too. it'd be super easy just to stain a piece of wood and stick it over it.
@ahooten1955

She could maybe enclose the bottom ro hide the legs. I agree that rather than a cabinet, it looks just like a piece of furniture shaved into the space.
@oritshermer
@oritshermer Год назад
@@michellemorales completely agree with you and was thinking the same thing while watching! Even though the legs are beautiful they do feel very off when placed on top of the buttom part. I would hide them with an additional drywall going upwards and might even consider placing some of the same tiles on top of that drywall to tie the bottom to the top and make it look more intentional.

When you inevitably renovate your kitchen, I’d suggest moving the credenza into another room (could make a great dresser!) and re-tiling the whole floor so you have the freedom to knock down those half walls and put in proper lower cabinetry. The vintage upper cabinet and tile are such a vibe though! Great job making it work with second hand materials!!

It looks amazing!!!! I was a bit unsure of the tile at first but you really pulled it together!! One small thought tho, maybe there's a way to cover the cabinet legs with a walnut board of some sort? I feel like it would look more built in that way and not look like just a sidebar that was placed there. But great job nonetheless!!!

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. I love everything about this, except for the exposed legs. Just looks off. I love the idea of just closing it in to cover the legs. If you used some wood , it would create more cohesion with the dining side while also making the bottom cabinet look built in.
