Tiny House Remodel Done ― Onto Phase Two

In this video, I go over the work that needs to be done in the Tiny House 2.0. through the end of 2024. There is a lot of smaller details that were left out, but this is a good overview of the upcoming work that needs to be done. Because there is a watertight shell in place, the interior work should move right along - but all of the work will have to compete with the work going on in the dwarf orchard and the work in the woodshop for Trap Door Woodworks: / @trapdoorwoodworks

Just a brief update on where we are on the Tiny House Project. I've worked the last three days over there without videoing, getting ready for Tiny House 2.0. We are now ready to go, and Natalie will be putting in the ceiling insulation for the next few days, then I will be back in there installing the external electrical outlets so I can begin the siding, soffit, and facia. Exciting things are coming soon!

I cant wait to see how that kitchen materializes. The last room was so impressive with that big craftsman molding! I know this room wont have that molding, but will it have craftsman cabinetry?

Natalie wants painted cabinets, but who knows. As of right now they will be painted.

On a normal house, there are pre-made punch lists you can use, but even then there are lots of little details to account for. It certainly can be challenging!

I used to be that way to an extent, but that was because of impatience on my part. I take a long view a lot better these days 😊

Next phase commencing! It’s going to be glorious!🤗 I know there is a phase three yet to come, but will there be a back door when it’s all finished? I know tiny houses don’t typically have a back door, but that always makes me nervous for fire and break in reasons.❤️🤗🐝

Thanks Deborah! Yes, there is already a back 'escape hatch' that hasn't been shown onscreen, but I will be putting a regulation door in there for the winter, and until the Phase Three addition is dried in. Then it will be removed, and I'll be putting in the arched opening. There will be a fire smoke alarm in every room as well. The final structure will have a back door as well 😊

I thought of that when I was producing it! It will definitely go into the fall, and I may be drywalling at Christmas time 😐 The cabinetry - which wasn't mentioned in this video - will take longer than that, but that will be on the woodworking channel. Maybe it's the wishful thinking that keeps me going? 😉

Hi Mojo, I'm guessing you also intend working in the wood shop and finishing up with all the extractors not to mention the rest of the shop it'll be nice to see your woodworking equipment up and running, we continue getting bucket loads of rain over here guess you guys are getting your fair share too. I'm feeling fine and dandy now.

@@PlanetMojo I think you do a great job with planning and execution, I like watching your videos, I tend to get frustrated as things drag on with my stuff, I credit your onscreen demeanor with helping me slow down, have patience, and frankly enjoy the process, it's all part of a better end result!

@@adenvet2830 Thanks Larry. I think you inadvertently posted within another comment, but yes, I will be spending at least 1/3 of my time on the woodshop until the outdoor work is done, then 1/2 of the time after that. I should be able to use the jointer within a week or-so, and the planer as soon as the spiral cutterhead update is done on that machine. That will give me full capability in a somewhat awkward setup (no benches, etc.). But things will move steadily ahead there as well 😊

@@adenvet2830 Forgot to mention: As I type this, there is a strong thunderstorm going on with torrential rains, and the ten day forecast has rain in 8 out of 10 days, with six of those days having thunderstorms 💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧😑
