In my 28 years as organist I've played this hymn 2800 times, including churches and in concerts, in total 2800, second is ode to joy or joyful joyful we adore thee
This was beautiful!! Masterfully played. Excellent organ registration to match the piano. And good on the pianist for poinding the keys to get the volume out. Special kudos to the sound engineer who also helped make sure the piano was well balanced against the organ in the recording. I have heard so many organ/piano duos where the piano is drowned out.
Yes, and one should note that the piano itself is opened up wide. It is not a full-size concert grand, but it is a decent size. I cannot tell what kind (brand) it is.
i love this song it reminds me of when i played the piano and this song with my piano teacher sherri poplin and she is an great teacher she is not having piano lessons now but she will in the spring she is in albemarle nc and i enjoy her company so much and playing the piano and i encourage others when she reopens to send their childrens or teens if they want to play the piano. god bless you all from josh walker
I'm a church organist celebrating 50 years of music easter sunday this is a wonderful arrangement of a great hymn is it possible that a copy of this could be purchased
This is a incredible arrangement and expertly performed?! Would you mind sharing the name of the publisher? This is the 3rd piano/organ arrangement of this hymn that I've found on RU-vid.
not easy balancing the two instruments as the organ is the more powerful one. Just a though-the organ could've been a bit louder w/o overpowering the piano.
Unfocused, scattered to the four winds, this cannot be worship. Barely recognisable as the wonderful hymn it is supposed to represent, sorry not good at all.
