FAQ:
Why ‘the religious hippie?’
It was a nickname my friends gave me when I was in highschool because I dressed like a hippie and was a ‘wild child’, when I came back into my faith they thought ‘the religious hippie’ was now a more appropriate nickname and it stuck!
Who is your favorite saint? Saint Francis of Assisi
Where do you live? Chicago

Marian Consecration changed my life. I also recently consecrated to St. Joseph.

I also did the St. Maximilian Kolbe Marian Consecration this year on our Lady of Lourdes (2/11/24). I did it in preparation to receive first communion and confirmation this Easter(RCIA). I can not think of a better way to become closer to Christ than Consecrating oneself to his mother Mary. I would recommenced it to anyone and really loved the St. Maximilian Kolbe version!

Amber, please look into the carnivore diet for your dad. I saw on Pints with Aquinas that Gabby and Matt’s wife also do Carnivore. There have been so many testimonials of cancer being put into remission when people go carnivore and fast. I know it’s an aggressive cancer but it’s worth a shot. Will be keeping your dad and your family in my prayers 🙏🏽

Also, look into Tammy Peterson’s story and her and her families testimonies on carnivore.

I'm Catholic, and I love the Blessed Mother. But I can't, despite exploring theology, history, traditions, and modern day argumentation, find it reasonable to consecrate myself to anyone but God. I want to think its something good, but to give all of yourself to a human rather than God, especially one who's alive in Heaven but passed away from the physical plane, feels demonic. I don't want to think this way, but I actually can't get past it.

Heyyy you aren’t alone. When I first converted it didn’t really make sense to m either. But I’m honouring Mary we are doing the same thing Jesus does. Mary raised Jesus, nurtured him, loved him and protected him like a mother does. And if we follow Jesus in everything he does it’s plausible that we would accept Mary as the caring and merciful mother that she is. She ascended into heaven like Elijah and many other prophets did so they are not dead, rather they are much more alive than we are in heaven. So it’s a journey dont feel guilty about it the trust to Mary will come naturally through the love of Jesus 🫶🏾❤

It is about consecrating to Jesus through Mary, so I don’t see the problem, yo are not consecrating to anyone but God.

I did my consecration to Our Lady of Lourdes 2/11/2023 (using the 33 days to morning glory) It was a life changing experience. I plan to redo it again using the St. Louis de Montfort way later this year.

Google Joe Tippins....He was given 3 months to live. He was told to take a dog dewormer medicine called Fenbendazole that completely cured him. As crazy as this sounds.. Mebendazole is an antiparasitic medicine for humans in the same class of drugs that is also now being used to treat cancer....Fenbendazol is like 7.99 at a Tractor Supply Co. Store and doesn't require a prescription to buy. Also remember that cancer needs sugar to survive....So Fasting allows our body to survive on fat in our bodies while the cancer cells starve to death from lack of sugar. Good luck and God bless you!

I am confused. I've only been attending Mass for about a month, so this is all new to me. In Romans 8, Scripture describes the role of the Holy Spirit and say it is He who takes our prayers to God and helps us when we don't know what or how to pray, and He intercedes for us according to God's will. It sounds like the Church teaches that it is Mary and not the Spirit who has that role. Please know I am not saying "I'm right, you're wrong," I am sincerely interested in understanding this. Can you please provide clarification for me as to Mary's role and the Spirit's role in the life of a Catholic? As I said, this is very new to me and I'm more than a little overwhelmed and confused right now, by so many things.

Thank you for sharing your question. I can’t say I will answer your question completely. Amber’s comment about how The Holy Trinity allows Mary to fulfill her motherly role. I believe all who have passed (more so Blessed Virgin Mary and canonized saints) are given the ability to still bring more souls to Christ through their amazing examples. Ultimately God could do it ALL Himself but I would imagine he wants to do it all together in a unified way. Just my thoughts :)

This is wrong. You are leading people astray. The Church contradicts what scripture teaches. The more you read the bible the more your eyes will be open. Mary is cool but she ain't God. God has the final Word. God is sovereign over ALL. Deepen your relationship with HIM.

No, this is where catholics take things too far. It’s complete nonsense. Show me where it is biblical in any sense to go ‘through Mary to get to Jesus’ it isn’t biblical at all. We can go to the father directly through Jesus because of what he did on the cross. Mary does not even come into it. This is unscriptural and is borderline heresy.

I have the same perspective based on scripture.. I did this consecration in high school before I read the bible. I see now that we get to have a relationship with God through Jesus because of what He did on the cross. The veil was torn ❤ ”Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭45‬-‭46‬ ‭ To state we need a different mediator/“mediatrix” either than Jesus to receive our prayers and anything we have to give God is nullifying the Gospel of our salvation. 😢 ”For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.“ ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭6 He saved all of us, He saved Mary. To say she never sinned means she doesn’t need a saviour, so why would she say… ”And Mary said: “My soul exalts the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭46‬-‭47‬ ‭ ”for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ I don’t have all the answers, but here are some scriptures id love to share: ”Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.“ ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭‬‬ ”Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.“ ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭23‬ ‭ And about intercession and not knowing what to pray for ”Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭ ”He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.“ ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭32‬-‭34‬ ‭ God bless you all ❤ I pray we would all follow Jesus Christ and receive salvation from God through Jesus Christ ‬ ‭

@@YY-jv4uu the user above gave biblical scripture to back up the fact we don’t need to go through Mary to get to Jesus. You used no scripture to defend your argument. It isn’t biblical.

Catholics follow both scripture and tradition. Nowhere in the bible does it say " Through god alone." Perhaps you must read st louis de montefort's book on the secret of the rosary.

Think about the wedding feast at Cana , it was Mary who told Christ that " they have run out of wine." Jesus said that his time had not yet come , yet despite this upon his mother's request he performed the first public miracle of turning water to wine

Hey I'm completely new to the faith. I started out as a protestant until the Mother of God appeared to me in my minds eye, where she lead me to her rosary. I know that I got closer to God because the rosary itself taught me how to pray and through that system I was able to learn spiritual warfare from our Mother, I integrated the meditative technique to combat any temptations and thoughts that are from the enemy, by using scripture and running to the bible, praying vocally and fixing my eyes with the word of God! I thank her for helping me deepening my walk with him! My question is, how does a Marian consecration get us closer to Jesus? I was wondering if anyone can provide an answer on the "specifics" of how they deepened their relationship with the Son, through this Marian devotion. I'm very new to Catholicism, I hope didn't offend anyone through this question, I'm just a man seeking God's heart!

In the most basic sense, when you love Mary, you begin to see Jesus through the eyes of her, and no other human loved him more than her.
