Just wanted to explain this video. This was footage recorded years ago at an event in Ottumwa, IA. Todd and other gamers were doing demonstrations on games they were best known for. There is more footage recorded, but this was one of the better clips. This footage was originally posted as evidence to use for the Twin Galaxies dispute that recently ended. I thought it would be important for people to see him playing the game so they could conclude if his gameplay was legit or not. I am not an expert so I didn't know at the time. Hope that explains some things. Cheers!
A video of him doing poorly at the game now doesn't prove he didn't get it 32 years before. Generally your hand dexterity is much better when you're younger. Hell look at Kirk Hammett he can't play any of his solos right anymore that must mean he never recorded them right?
+J.J. You are using a logical fallacy to try to justify your point. (i.e.: "this video doesn't prove he cheated because he is too old now therefore his records must be legit"). Do your research regarding all the cheating this guy did which *by far* exceedes this video or any other non-logical argument his blind followers use in his defense.
+Niko Bellic nowhere did I say "therefore his records must be legit" so why are you using quotation marks? Also i'm no "blind follower" I only heard of this guy like 2 days ago.
I find it very disturbing when I see a guy who lies as terribly as this dude... Some people, when they lie... they just cannot help but drop hints here and there that they ARE lying. Its really embarrassing.
Tbh I don’t see the need for him to make excuses. The odds of him recreating a literally impossible record is something the people watching probably didn’t expect anyways
gotta love that. tilting the analogstick to the left was the big secret technique? its not like he's holding it upside down or using a spoon or anything if he wanted to get the 5,51. its funny how little effort he put into making fake evidence of his skills. I would at least try something stupid like chewing my own hair or put on a song that matches the timing for the game or something. you know, pretending to be a mystical gamer or something.
Steven Seagal is an actor who was secretly a real cop it is like the opposite of the case most people think it is. He was a police officer in my parish, Jefferson Parish in Louisiana.
He is randomly hitting the joystick, if he knows the perfect way to get 5.51 would he not be hitting the joystick almost the same every game? I see speed runners doing pixel perfect moves and they don’t keep turning around saying random lies
"I've played against myself! Played with my feet too!" ...but the cameras vibes makes the stick too sensitive i can't do it when im being filmed. What a legend.
One would think that in 35 years he’d actually film himself doing 5.51 The only actual video on him playing (from what I can find) is this one, so thank you for uploading it
@@RetrofIex it sounds like he isnt good at the game at all thats why he makes excuses for getting 5.8s. Idk how the game works but i bet the best players can sub 5.8 in just a few attempts. At the time he faked it he had no idea he faked an impossible time and it would come under as much scrutiny as it did for being the wr of wrs , hes probably never even got a 5.6
Todd has a history of inputting his OWN scores into many games. This is why his score is always much bigger than the 2nd place score. For example, in donky kong, he got 50,000,000 milliin points exactly while most experienced players can barely get to or just under 1,000,000 points. Im just stating out the obvious.
He really didn't think this whole thing through did he? Its like he has the cunning of an 8 year old... "I will enter 50,000,0000 points as my top score.... No one will ever know!!" I really do think that people were much dumber the further back you go in time. At least, they were dumb when it came to lies and fraud.
In_Vas_Por Personally i dont think they were dumber, I just think they were much less aware of how the technology worked and how it would eventually come to the point were identifying frauds like him would be much easier.
Kerosene Fox Okay if you wanna sugar coat it a little bit, we can call them naive to the technology of the future. The fact still remains that he left of pattern of entering scores like 50,000,000, 8,000,000,000 etc... Instead of being creative and mixing the numbers. There were games where he didn't even look it to account for the how the scores incremented, and games where he didn't research so he could take better educated guesses on what a max score could be. He could have at least played a game to the end and then guessed a top score instead of entering 50,000,000 which would obviously be impossible and raise suspicion.
I once got 30 wins in a row in Mortal Kombat 2 arcade ladder, but as soon I landed the final hit on the final boss, all the cameras, witnesses, and the arcade machine were fatalitied out of existence. But it happened!
This reminds me of the martial arts masters of the 80's and 90's claiming, in full tow of a belly proving the only fights they win are against the donuts in their dojo, that they are undefeated in thousands of street fights. Hilarious to watch men seize upon the willingness of those around them to trust blindly. People just want to believe in the unbelievable it seems.
i think it's kinda sad , he has lived his whole existence from 17 till now being known for breaking records he didn't actually break while feeding everyone bullshit over these decades
That's like when you lie to a friend about how good you are at videogames, and then once he comes over you play like shit and say, "I can't play while other people watch."
To be fair that actually can happen. Becuase some people do have the added pressure of people watching them and they feel the need to play as good as when they do alone. It’s also like the thing known as the recording curse. You can be the best say Super Metroid player ever but the minute you hit record on the device you’ll start making the dumbest rookie mistakes ever.
My name is err, Togers, Rodd Togers. I just have the record for dragster at 3.77. What you do is you quickly press up up down down left right and when it goes 0 you'll go right into 3rd gear Can't prove it via video because in today's age it's really hard to film, but trust me, everyone.
He says that he’s competed against himself on Dragster, holding a joystick in each hand and getting 5:61. Did I hear that right? How is that even possible?
Amazing, the way he talks is just how people talk when confronted, getting nervous and start to make up stuff. The part with the score and numbers he mumbles at 48 seconds: "5.84% or 5.81% or 3 plus 3 (silence). You know what this stick is a little sensitive here... " I believe he knew how the game was programmed as it counts decimals by 0.03 seconds but never thought people would try to actually play the games (not only this one game but the thousands of records he claimed to have achieved and were obviously fake). It all appeared after the can of worms was opened thanks to this game alone. Just so you know: time is not measured by percentages, so even at that he was confused about, it's very hard to trust him if he doesn't even know that the game's time is measured in second
It’s amazing how chronic liars like him actually appear to think that people around him can’t see through his pathetic excuses. It’s also unbelievable that he can come up with so many excuses as to why he suddenly just can’t get it right you know? It’s all the cameras nah I mean the lights right in my eyes actually it’s gotta be this joystick is it regulation? Dammit I forgot to bring mine today if I had mine I could definitely do it no lie man
