Todt Family Murders Pretrial Hearing Regarding Mental Health Issues of Anthony Todt

Not sticking up for him; this guy makes me so disgusted just listening to and watching him (ohhhh, the worst!🙈) but I’ve understood from a few You Tube Channels that His Dad was by no means even listed in the “Father of The Year” Awards! Anthony Todt reportedly first heard his Mother’s screams, then actually witnessed her being shot in the face and murdered! Both he and his sister were quite young at the time; Anthony was 4 years old, and his sister younger. It turned out that Anthony Todt’s Father has hired a gunman to kill his wife. So I wouldn’t worry too much about the elder Mr. Todt’s embarrassment at much of anything! You are so very kind to think of what a parent must be going through during all of this evil. @@deborahleone4351 Not sticking up either but the evidence did show he dedicated 7 years to being his wife’s full time care giver, all while running a business states away and in practice functioned as a single dad, and held it all together for years. What gives Wally? I’d get burn out too - and earlier than he did to be fair - but I wouldn’t use my obese walrus carcass to roll on top of my kids until they stopped breathing. It wasn’t contested that he appeared to be a good care giver but his demeanor on the stand contrasted that and just made him look like a control freak that I wouldn’t doubt was violent (apparently he wasn’t). He came off awful on the stand but I guess if you can annihilate your family you’re probably awful. What a weird dude. Who shows the jury they are capable of everything the state is alleging lol? Being Florida I’m shocked he didn’t get the death penalty. I suppose state of mind spared him sorta.

Todts mother did NOT die. Bullet is still inside her and she has a fake eye. Still very much alive. Idk why people post inaccurate comments.

@@leahcasell1487 I believe that the defense wants to use diminished capacity to claim that Todt’s confession is not true/credible because he was suffering under a Benadryl overdose at the time he gave his confession. The judge did not agree.

I should think he would have a team of public defenders in this type of case. As for death penalty, if he truly wants to die what better way to go? He should plead for it.

More people should be awarded insanity pleas to be honest. Going to mental health facilities instead of prison is not an easier or more fun way to spend time behind bars. It just is supposed to put a bigger emphasis on treatment of the inmate as it pertains to psychiatric needs. I.e medications, doctor overseeing it, etc. Some say mental institutions are actually much worse than prisons, so I don't get why people are so averse to admitting somebody's mental capacity or disorder could have contributed to the crime.
